Particularly in Aceh province's, the largest dolomite deposits is available in Aceh Tamiang district around 1.9 billion tons. Unfortunately, current use of dolomite in the industry and other applications is still limited. In this work we report the advanced preparation of dolomite using calcinations method. Whereas, with this method, the dolomite mineral can be processed into calcium and magnesium oxide which has a very wide field of application and higher values. To obtain optimal results, we also identify the effect of temperature on the formation of oxide compounds. Preliminary study using XRF founded that dolomite in village Selamat is known as the highest concentration of CaO (61.20%) followed by MgO (25.28%). It is also showed that the main phase obtained by XRD is dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2). Furthermore, after the calcinations process at 700 °C, it was founded that the formation of dolomite were CaCO3 and MgO, whereas at temperatures of 900 °C mostly the CaCO3 has decomposed into CaO. SEM observations showed that dolomite has the composition of particles distributed homogeneously along the particle agglomerate when it calcinations. Laweung merupakan salah satu kawasan karst yang luas. Namun untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air, penduduk Laweung masih memanfaatkan penampungan air hujan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran aquifer kawasan karst Laweung dengan mengukur konduktivitas listrik bawah permukaan. Alat yang digunakan adalah instrument VLF yang dibuat oleh IRIS dengan menggunakan 2 station pemancar, yaitu JJI Japan (22.2 kHz) dan GBR Inggris (16.0 kHz). Lintasan pengukuran dibuat 4 lintasan sepanjang 240 meter dengan spasi 10 meter. Berdasarkan analisa Karous dan Hjelt didapatkan hasil berupa distribusi rapat muatan dengan nilai tinggi sebagai zona konduktif yang diduga sebagai aquifer. Nilai rapat muatan yang didapat berkisar antara 0.1 sampai 0.78. Keberadaan aquifer berada pada kedalaman yang bervariasi dengan kedalaman 10 m hingga 40 m, dimana lapisan aquifer saling terhubung antara satu dengan yang lainnya.Kata Kunci: Konduktivitas, Very Low Frequency (VLF), aquiferABSTRACTHas been done a research about identification of aquifer in the karst region of Laweung, Pidie by using Very Low Frequency (VLF) method with Tilt Angle mode. Laweung is one of a vast karst area. However, in filling the needs of water, Laweung inhabitants are still utilizing rainwater catchment. This research aims to know the distribution of aquifer in Laweung karst area by measuring the value of the electric conductivity value beneath the surface. The instrument used was a VLF instrument made by IRIS by using 2 transmitters station, JJI Japan (22.2 kHz) and United Kingdom GBR (16.0 kHz). The trajectory measurement made 4 tracks along the 240 yards with a space of 10 meters. Based on analysis of Karous and Hjelt, it was obtained a resultin distribution of charge dense with high marks as a conductive zone alleged aquifer. The value of gained charge dense range between 0.1 to 0.78. Pemakaian formalin pada makanan dapat menyebabkan keracunan pada tubuh manusia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat bahan kimia formalin yang terdapat di dalam bakso daging. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil sampel bakso yang dijual di Kecamatan Syiah Kuala Kota Banda Aceh. Dari hasil analisis kadar formalin pada 12 sampel bakso pada Kecamatan Syiahkuala kota Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 11 sampel bakso tidak mengandung formalin kecuali pada sampel 3 yang mengandung formalin 0,10 mg/l. Situ Patenggang memberikan hasil tertinggi yaitu 4,47 ton ha-1 dan berbeda nyata dengan varietas lainnya. Varietas Situ Patenggang merupakan varietas yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan di Aceh Besar. The Identification Some Upland Rice Superior Varieties in Aceh BesarABSTRACT. New varieties of rice is one of the most innovative technology for the most easily adopted by farmers because the technology is cheap and very practical. Adaptation of varieties is needed to know rice performance new superior variety of upland rice can be adaptation in Aceh Besar. A field experiment was conducted at Farmer Farm, to screen suitable upland rice varieties in Aceh Besar District on dry season 2012. Five upland rice varieties ei, Tuwoti, Situ Patenggang, Situ Bagendit, Limboto, and Inpago 6 were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications. The result shows that the performance of rice varieties Situ Patenggang in vegetative stage of growth and yield component are very good. The upland rice variety Situ Patenggang produced the highest grain yield of 4,47 ton ha-1and it was significantly superior to other rice varieties.
