This can reduce the effect of fading on wireless communication channel which is a major problem in wireless communication system that can degrade the system performance. In this paper, we investigate the performance of multi-relay cooperative communication using decode and forward protocol in terms of channel capacity, bit error rate (BER) and throughput.  The use of decode and forward protocol in multi-relay cooperative communication offers cooperation among users to generate virtual multiple antennas to increase the channel capacity and also can give better system performance. Furthermore, the simulation model of the system and computer simulation is developed to evaluate the performance of multi-relay cooperative communication. The simulation result shows that the channel capacity increases as the value of signal to noise ratio (SNR) increases. Also, the channel capacity increases as the number of relays increases. Moreover, the performance of multi-relay cooperative communication performs better than a single-relay cooperative communication by using decode and forward protocol in terms of BER. Furthermore, multi-relay cooperative communication provides a good throughput of the system compared to a single-relay. Therefore,  the multi-relay cooperative communication is useful to mitigate the effects of channel fading, increase the channel capacity, improve the system performance and provide a good throughput by exploiting decode and forward protocol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol kulit buah jengkol (Pithecellobium lobatum Benth) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Methicillin-resistant Staphilococcus aureus. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang dibagi dalam 6 kelompok yaitu 4 kelompok perlakuan dan 2 kelompok kontrol dengan 5 kali pengulangan, terdiri dari ekstrak etanol kulit buah jengkol dengan konsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, 50% dan 75%, sebagai kontrol negatif diberikan akuades dan sebagai kontrol positif diberikan vancomycin. Uji daya hambat dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Parameter yang diamati yaitu luas zona hambat yang terbentuk. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan Uji Non Parametrik Kruskall-Wallis dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Mann-Withney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kulit buah jengkol dengan konsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, 50% dan 75% mampu menghambat pertumbuhan MRSA dengan zona hambat rata-rata masing-masing 13,4 mm, 14,8 mm, 16,2 mm dan 17,4 mm. Sementara itu zona hambat rata-rata yang dihasilkan pada kelompok kontrol positif dan kontrol negatif masing-masing adalah 19,4 mm dan 0 mm. A total of 100 pregnant women seen at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia participated in this study. The short version of the Malaysian Oral Health Impact Profile (S-OHIP(M)) questionnaire with five-point ordinal scale that ranges from ‘never’ to ‘very often’ was used to assess the frequency of oral impacts during the previous 12 months. The majority of the respondents were Malay (96.0%), with a mean age of 29.9 years (SD 5.78). The highest education level attained by most respondents was post-secondary qualification or Diploma (39.0%). Some had formal tertiary education (27.0%). The majority of them were income earners (74.0%) and contributed to the household income. Half of the respondents were in their third trimester of pregnancy while the remaining half was either in the first or second trimester. The severity of impact experienced by the women, which is the mean S-OHIP(M) score was high at 10.43 (95% CI = 8.96, 11.90). The prevalence of impact, which is the percentage of respondents reporting ‘fairly often’ or ‘very often’ to one or more impacts, was 36.0%. Common impacts experienced by the respondents include feeling uncomfortable because food got stuck in between teeth or dentures (22.0%), feeling that oral health problems had caused bad breath (13.0%), and feeling shy because of problems with teeth, mouth or dentures (9.0%). The results also demonstrated that neither the severity nor the prevalence of impact was influenced by the women’s socio-demographic background. However, a careful validation of each enzyme immunoassays (EIAs) and methodological issues such as samples preservation, and extraction procedures must be a significant concern and validated because  it may influence FGCMs levels. In this present study, the aim was to carry out a biological validation to find reliable EIAs that could be used for non-invasive measurement of glucocorticoid levels in crested macaques. Moreover, we compared three different techniques of preservation: lyophilisation, oven drying and field extraction and three different solvents for extraction: 80% methanol, 90% pure ethanol and 90% commercial alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) to find the simple and practical techniques for sample processing. For hormone analysis, we colIected 189 faecal samples from wild crested macaques living in the Tangkoko-Batuangus Nature Reserve, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The results show that biological validation can be used to validate measurement of faecal glucocorticoid which 3α,11β-dihydroxy-etiocholanolone was the most reliable EIAsfor this species. Different preservation and solvent extraction were not significantly influenced levels of FGCMs (p>0.05). In conclusion, Our study highlights the importance of biological validation of FGCMassays and presents practical techniques for the non-invasive monitoring of physiological stress in crested macaques.
