Sampel terdiri 24 ekor anjing pemburu yang digunakan untuk berburu babi hutan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan 5 hari dibulan februari 2015. Urin yang di koleksi langsung dilakukan pemeriksaan dengan cara mencelupkan strip test pada 12-15 ml urin selama 30 detik. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan hasil bersifat semikuantitatif melalui pembacaan nilai bilirubin pada strip test yang memiliki 4 skala perubahan warna yaitu: Negative (0 mg/dl), Small (1 mg/ dl), Moderate (2 mg/dl) dan Large (4 mg/dl). Tiga pemberian IUP tidak disertai izin prinsip gubernur, sebagian besar pemegang IUP tidak melaksanakan tahapan penambangan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika pemberian IUP oleh bupati Aceh Selatan, mencari bentuk kepentingan ekonomi dan politik dalam pemberian IUP, dan mengetahui dampak pemberian IUP terhadap masyarakat lingkar IUP.Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan dan lapangan. Studi kepustakaan dilakukan dengan membaca buku teks, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan bahan bacaan lainnya yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan dengan observasi serta mewawancarai informan penelitian.Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan pemberian IUP di Aceh Selatan kurun waktu 2008-2013 tidak sesuai dengan mekanisme, tanpa izin prinsip gubernur, minus telaah teknis dan tidak disertai evaluasi bertahap. Pemberian IUP berkorelasi positif dengan kepentingan ekonomi politik pemerintah Aceh melalui MoU golden share yang belum memiliki dasar hukum, serta kepentingan ekonomi perusahaan yang melakukan perdagangan IUP dengan kamuflase perubahan pemilik modal dan pemegang saham. Dampak positif pemberian IUP terhadap masyarakat lingkar IUP adalah meningkatnya penghasilan masyarakat lokasi pertambangan. Dampak negatif pemberian IUP terhadap masyarakat lingkar IUP adalah lahirnya kecemburuan sosial karena kesenjangan penghasilan antara masyarakat di lokasi pertambangan dengan masyarakat luar lokasi pertambangan yang sama-sama terjangkau resiko pertambangan. This study aimed to describe the strategies of principal from the planning, implementation, supervision, and obstacles in improving education quality. To achieve the goal, this study used qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection through observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis procedure were data reduction, data display, and data verification. Subjects of this study were principal, vice principal, and teachers. The results of the study showed that (1) The strategies of principal in improving learning effectiveness conducted by teachers with the suggestion that teachers’ discipline should be improved and teachers should prepare lesson plan, (2) The strategies of principal in improving teacher potential by conducting various trainings and technical guidance, and teacher have to equip themselves with quality reading, (3) There was no obstacle in the condition of school staff/personnel and teachers but there were obstacles in facility and infrastructure especially the classrooms condition which were inadequate, the school did not have multipurpose building, and the school environment condition was plagued by inconvenient vehicles and public transportations. Keywords: Strategies of Principal and Education Quality. Abstrak: : Strategi kepala madrasah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan peningkatan mutu dimadrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesripsikan strategi kepala madrasah dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan hambatan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Observasi, Wawancara dan Studi Dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah Reduksi Data, Penyayian Data, dan Verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Madrasah, dan Guru.
