Process in achieving timely financial statement presentation to the public becomes increasingly difficult because of the increasing growth of existing public companies in Indonesia.This study aims to examine empirically the effect of firm size, liquidity, company age, and reporting of exceptional items and / or contingent on timely submission of financial reports on companies listed on Indoneia Stock Exchange (BEI). The selection of samples to be used in this study was purposive sampling. Samples are manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange with the following criteria: a) the company issued financial statements as of December 31 for the years 2004 to 2007; b) the company whose shares are actively traded in IDX. The data used is a form of secondary data obtained from annual reports and the Capital Market Reference Center. Then the data were analyzed using multiple regression.The research proves that company size has a significant impact on the   timeliness of financial reporting. While life companies, liquidity, and extraordinary items and / or contingencies do not have a significant impact on the timeliness of financial     reporting. Therefore it is necessary to investigate the relationship between position of the sun above earth's surface and the change on rainfall patterns in the region of Banda Aceh and surrounding. Aceh region is located at the tip of Sumatra island and at the perimeter of three major oceans. This location greatly affect rainfall patterns in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The aims of this research are to determine the variation in weather pattern, especially rainfall and to draw up a general pattern of weather oscillation, especially rainfall in the region of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The position of sun relative to Banda Aceh was then visually sketched on a world map. The map is used to analyze relations between rain frequency, duration and time with sun’s position over land and sea, based on the rain pattern condition in six months from Desember 2013 until Mei 2014. The result showed that from Desember until February, rain mostly occured at night and water vapor came from Indian Ocean. Meanwhile in March and May, rain are more common in the morning when the sun’s position was above Indian Ocean and Sea of Bengal. However in April rainfall occur during the day, because of evaporation was brought from the South China Sea. The research was conducted since November 2010 until Apryl 2011 at Microbiology Laboratory ofMathematics and Sciences Faculty, University of Syiah Kuala. The method used is experimental method. Locations of water sample taken are at sea, river, and embankment which taken in some areas around Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The results showed that there are 18 pure cultuated chitinolitic bacteria isolates. And the results of morphologycal bakteria colony showed that all isolates were circle shape colony. It was found that the flat shape of colony is 14 isolates and 4 serrated. The sizes of colony were found from 1,0 mm until 3,5 mm. The white isolate are 13 and 5 yellowish. The most of isolates are negative gram which bacil and coccus cell shape. The research method used Randomized Completely Block Design Sub Sampling with 6 treament and 3 replication, they are: antiseptic soap A, B, C, D, phenol 2% and aquadest. The group consist of S. aureus and E. coli bacteria. The inhibit experiment was done by using Kirby-Bauer methode. The parameter analyzed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) continue with the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result showed that there were  significant differences of inhibit zone that formed from both bacterias . The result of the antiseptic soap suspend inhibit zone, S. aureus bacteria has larger diameter than E. coli. Soap A, B, C and D with 50% concentrate toward both bacteria, each has average diameter 25, 16 mm, 15,6 mm, 11,5 mm and 9,83 mm while phenol  has 15,0 mm. This result showed that soap A, B, and C has the equal ability to phenol 2%. Base on Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), it is found out that the real differences of the inhibit zone between the two bacteria as well the real differences of treatment forward those bacteria (P<0,05). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, tes tertulis, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran dimana aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 68,1% pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 77,9% pada pertemuan kedua. Siswa senang belajar materi koloid dengan menggunakan pendekatan STM sehingga hasil belajar siswa tuntas pada dua pertemuan dengan persentase secara klasikal 75% pada tes pertemuan pertama dan 85% tes pertemuan kedua. Persentase siswa yang memberikan tanggapan positif pada penerapan pendekatan STM sebesar 85% sedangkan 15% siswa memberikan tanggapan negatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas siswa meningkat, hasil belajar siswa tuntas secara klasikal dan siswa memberi tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan pendekatan STM pada materi koloid. Pd.ABSTRAK Kepemimpinan dapat diartikan sebagai kemampuan seseorang dalam menggerakkan, mengarahkan, sekaligus mempengaruhi pola pikir, cara kerja setiap anggota (guru) agar bersikap mandiri dalam bekerja terutama dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk kepentingan percepatan pencapaian tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kerja guru, sebagai berikut: (1) Semangat kerja guru; (2) Disiplin kerja guru; dan (3) Tanggung jawab guru. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan pengawas pada SMP Negeri 2 Meurah Mulia Aceh Utara. Hasil penelitian ditemukan: (1) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan semangat kerja guru yaitu melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi semangat kerja melalui kondisi mental yang penuh kesungguhan, daya juang, dan keteguhan untuk melaksanakan tugas/ pekerjaan dalam rangka mencapai tujuan secara optimal; (2) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dengan menerapkan kehadiran di sekolah dengan tepat waktu untuk memasuki kelas sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan, membantu guru dalam mengembangkan pola perilaku dan keilmuan untuk melaksanakan tata tertib yang telah di sepakati bersama dari hasil musyawarah; dan (3) Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab kerja guru yaitu menciptakan situasi dan kerjasama yang harmonis antar guru serta berusaha memenuhi perlengkapan yang diperlukan guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya.
