Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, komoditas sub sektor perkebunan yang menjadi komoditas unggulan sub sektor perkebunan di Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya, yaitu komoditas Pala, dan komoditas Kakao. The zone lies on low flat plain at Tanjung Harapan Village, west coast of Aceh. The process of site investigation is controlled by: occurrence of groundwater, nature of bedrock, and presence of clays. Prediction of liquefaction zones in high seismicity regions will be a great help to mitigate hazards. Geoelectric resistivity using a combination both vertical electrical sounding and horizontal resistivity images of Wenner-Schlumberger configuration have been carried out and can be of help to delineate the liquefaction zones. With this backdrop, it believe that in conjunction with soil and sediment characteristics indicating high susceptibility to liquefaction, and resistivity anomalies will provide vital information to predict and identify the liquefaction zones. Results of this study revealed the surface layer consists of loose sediments, sandy clay, and silty sandy layer are potentially liquefied during earthquake. The effect of propolis to treat fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance, total cholesterol was examined. Experimental Research with Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) design was utilized in the study. Intervention given was propolis at dose 50 mg/kg bwt and health education administered for 20 days. The quality of propolis was 20%extract and quercetin content 25.29 mg/L tested by Biofarmaka Laboratory Test of Hasanuddin University, health education used counseling strategy. Thesamples were 64 prediabetic patients consist of 32 patients treated with propolis and 32 treated with health education. The result of Wilcoxon with significant level of 0.05 has proved significantly decreased fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance and total cholesterol respectively 14.28 (p=0.000), 23.16 (p=0.000) and 16.3 (p=0.000) The result of group given propolis as significant as health education group respectively fasting blood glucose 14.9 (p=0.001), glucose tolerance 13.98 (p=0.000) and total cholesterol 9.76 (p=0.021). Giving propolis and health education are effective for the change of fasting blood glucose,glucose tolerance and total cholesterol. Propolis is potential to use as a pharmacology therapy for prediabetes. Fadrial Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource 2012-11-30 Description An account of the resource A series of studies related to animal feeding technology to stimulate the egg production and egg quality with the development of a cheap source of protein types and useful has been done through the evaluation of viabilityand nutritive value of Indigofera tinctoria and in vivo treatments on quail and chicken. Research conducted since 2010 to October 2012 with a focus on increasing the ability to grow the Indigofera’s seed under soaking treatment inauxin hormone and testing the nutritional value on quail and chicken. The first study related to the viability testing is done by soaking the seed of Indigofera in auxin hormone before planting in the field. The study consisted of 4treatments and 5 replications of soaking period, namely: control, B (12 hours), C (24 hours) and D (32 hours) in the solution. The parameters measured were: viability and growth of seed and dry matter content of Indigofera leaf. Thesecond study tested the nutritive value of Indigofera in the ration of laying chickens and quail. Treatments were: 0, 2, 4 and 6% of Indigofera leaf in the ration. Parameters observed in were: egg production, fertility, hatchability andegg quality. The results showed that the viability of the Indigofera’s seed with soaking treatment significantly increased to 80% and soaking for 32 hours resulted a higher viability. The treatment of soaking in auxin hormonealso increased nutrient content of indigofera leaf especially protein. In terms of nutritional value, supplement of Indigofera leaf was very useful to improve the production and quality of eggs in both local laying chickens and quail.The addition of Indigofera leaf in the ration up to 5% also reduced the feed consumption and increasead Haugh unit of egg chicken. From these results it was concluded that the viability of Indigofera tinctoria increased by soaking inauxin hormone for 12-32 hours. These treatments also stimulated the dry matter and protein contents in Indigofera’s leaf. The supplement of Indigofera tinctoria leaf as much as 1-5% in the ration also improved the egg production and quality of local chicken and quail.
