Perubahan eliminasi urine yang terjadi pada lansia akan berdampak pada gangguan konsep dirinya. Konsep diri merupakan bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari diri setiap individu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perubahan eliminasi urine dengan konsep diri pada lansia di Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Dinas (UPTD) Rumoh Seujahtera Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh 2012. Desain penelitian deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode total sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 70 lansia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tanggal 22-23 Desember 2012 di. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa kuesioner dalam bentuk cheek list, terdiri dari 28 item pernyataan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara terpimpin. Data dianalisis menggunakan program komputerisasi SPSS dengan menggunakan analisa formula chi-square test dengan confidence interval 95% dan alpha (?) 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisa bivariat menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada hubungan antara perubahan eliminasi urin dengan gambaran diri pada lansia (nilai P=0,000, P??). (2) ada hubungan antara perubahan eliminasi urin dengan harga diri pada lansia (nilai P=0,000, P??). (3) ada hubungan antara perubahan eliminasi urin dengan peran diri pada lansia (nilai P=0,000 , P??). (4) ada hubungan antara perubahan eliminasi urin dengan identitas diri pada lansia (nilai P=0,005, P??). Secara umum menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara perubahan eliminasi urin dengan konsep diri pada lansia (nilai P=0,000, P??). Urinary elimination changes that occur in the elderly will have an impact on the self-concept disorders. Self concept is an inseparable part of every individual. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of urine elimination changes with self-concept in the elderly at Unit Pelaksana Teknik Dinas (UPTD) Rumoh Seujahtera Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh 2012. Desain District is descriptive correlative study with a cross sectional study. The sampling technique was conducted using total sampling with a total sample of 70 elderly. The data was collected on 22-23 December 2012. Data collection tool used in the form of a questionnaire with checking list with 28 items statement and the method used was interviews guided by referring to the questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS computerized program with using the formula analysis chi-square test with 95% a confidence interval and alpha (?) 0.05. The result of bivariate analysis indicate that (1) there is a relationship between changes in urinary elimination with a picture of himself in the elderly (P = 0.000, P ? ?). (2) there is a relationship between between changes in urinary elimination of self-esteem in the elderly (P = 0.000, P ? ?). (3) there is a relationship between changes in urinary elimination of the role of self in the elderly (P = 0.000, P ? ?). (4) there is a relationship between changes in urinary elimination of self-identity in the elderly (P = 0.005, P ? ?). The general indicate that is a relationship between changes in urinary elimination of self-concept of the elderly (P = 0.000, P ? ?). Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 15 ekor kambing dengan umur sekitar 1,5 tahun. Semua hewan penelitian terlebih dahulu diaklimatisasi selama 2 minggu terhadap lingkungan penelitian. Hewan-hewan tersebut dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri atas 5 ekor kambing. Kelompok P0 (kontrol) telah hanya diberikan air distilasi. Pada kelompok P1, diberikan perlakuan berupa suplementasi tepung daun katuk dan untuk kelompok P2 diberikan ekstrak alkohol daun katuk. Semua perlakuan diberikan secara oral sebanyak dua kali per hari (pada pagi dan sore hari) selama 35 hari berturut-turut. Setiap kambing percobaan diberikan pakan yang terdiri atas daun-daunan dan rumput, serta disediakan akses untuk memperoleh air minum secara ad libitum. Pada akhir waktu penelitian, seluruh hewan dikastrasi dan bagian tubulus seminiferus dari testis diambil dan diproses lebih lanjut untuk evaluasi secara histologis. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat indikasi peningkatan produksi spermatid dan spermatosit pada Kelompok P1 dan P2. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian suplemen daun katuk dapat meningkatkan produksi spermatid dan spermatosit kambing kacang lokal jantan. A number of 5 African’s catfish (Clarias gariepinus) were placed in an aquarium located in Gapang, Sukakarya Sub-district of Sabang Town, Aceh. Their behavior activities were observed manually at three different times (08.00 AM, 01.00 PM, and 05.00 PM) every day from 1st March up to 11th April 2012. The result of observation showed that the activity of catfish was different between all of them from 1st March 2012 up to morning observation on 11th April 2012. Most of those activities was not showed as very active behavior. However, their behavior was very active in the same pattern when observed at noon and afternoon times on 11 April 2012. On this date, there were two consecutive earthquakes happened at magnitude of >8 Richter Scale at 03.38 PM and 05.43 PM. The epicenter of this earthquake was in Simeulue, with the distance of more and less of 390 km from observation station of catfish in Gapang. It was noted that this abnormal behavior possibly showed as an indication of their ability to detect the increase of pre-seismic activity at 2.38 hours and 43 minutes before the two earthquakes. Perhaps, it is the result of their response to the increase of pre-seismic electromagnetic wave. Further continuous observation and research is needed to ensure the role of African’s catfish (Clarias gariepinus) as abio-sensor for the increase of seismic activity.
