ABSTRACT This research has done on ground roll study by the method of MASW with moving source configuration in Lamgeu Eu field, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar. This study aimed to detect the value shear wave velocity below the surface, as well as to know bedrock layers based to shear wave velocity data. The tools used were the seismograph computer, the hammers (4 kg), the plate (8 kg), and 24 channel geophones. The data processing was done by using software SeisImager and Surfer 10 to obtain a 2D cross sections. The measurement taken 2 spreadshot dot with the path length 96 m acrossanomaly of field and geophone interval 2 m. Based to the result data processing, were dissimilarity between the second line what include the area eastern of field, middle of field and western of field. The variation of shear wave velocity geological formations area composed of clay (soft sediment) and sand-gravel (impermeable) in middle field, sand-gravel nonconsolidation(permeable) and medium dense layer in the eastern field, clay-sand (impermeable) and very dense layer in the western field. This charecterizes the study in the middle field site has the bedrock is rather than depth 30 m. Whereas in the eastern-western field has done the bedrock in depth 30 m, the indicates the site is suitable for geotechnic study. Keywords : Ground roll, MASW, shear wave velocity, seismograph, sediment, clay, sand, gravel, and geotechnic.</text>

This research was conducted in Zainoel Abidin and Ibu Anak Hospital, Banda Aceh in order to analyze the success of vaginal breech delivery as well as the outcome of mother and babies. There were 50 vaginal breech deliveries in Zainoel Abidin Hospital during the study. The success of vaginal breech delivery was determined by the outcome of babies, the perinatal mortality and Apgar score of the babies. Vaginal breech delivery was more likely successful for babies whose birth weight 2000-3000 grams, between 35-40 weeks of gestational age, and singleton. Factors support the increase likelihood for the success of vaginal birth were adequate amniotic fluid, multiparity, and previously bigger baby that was delivered vaginally. We conclude that factors contribute the success of vaginal breech delivery were influenced by the birth weight, gestational age, parity, and amniotic fluid volume. However, since the number of subject was limited, further study with bigger sample size was needed</text>

Six serial cases of uterine rupture in almost one year (January 2011-Agustus 2011) were analyzed. There were six cases of uterine rupture. All cases happened in patients with previous caesarean sections. There were two cases in patients with classical previous caesarean section incision. One case happened in patient with previous caesarean section eleven months ago or short delivery interval. Two cases happened in prolonged of the second phase of labor more than 4 hours. One cases happened in second phase of labor less than one hour. Among six cases, there was one perinatal death in uterine rupture due to prolonged second phase of labor more than 5 hours. Previous classical uterine incision, second phase of labor, and inter-delivery time in previous Caesarean Section were contributing factors to the incidence of uterine rupture that can be predicted. <text>This study was purposed to evaluate the success of vaginal deliveries after cesarean (VBAC). This case-series-study was conducted in Zainoel Abidin and Ibu dan Anak  Hospital, as referral and teaching Hospitals, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, from January until October 2011 with descriptive analytic method. The outcomes were the success of VBAC. There were 50 subjects attempted VBAC. From 50 subjects who attempted VBAC, 45 subjects (90%) were succeed in vaginal delivery, 5 subjects (10%) were unsuccessful and had to undergo emergency C-Section. The parameters which were likely to contribute to the success of vaginal delivery in subjects who attempted VBAC were gestational age less than 40 weeks, the progress of cervical dilatation of less than 1 cm in 60 minutes, more ripened cervix on the labor. Parameters such as lower baby’s weight and history of vaginal delivery also result in the success of VBAC. Gestational age, Bishop score, and the progress of cervical dilatation contributed to higher success of VBAC. </text>

<text>There have been many controversies on how we should treat patients with  preeclampsia, how and when we should deliver the baby. This case report is purposed to evaluate one case of spontaneous parturition which ended up with vaginal delivery in one patient with preterm severe preeclampsia. We evaluate the best management which result in the best outcome for the patient and her baby. This is the case of Mrs N, 34 years old in 33-34 weeks gestational age with severe preeclampsia. When she came the blood pressure was 190/120 mmHg, protein urine +3. The blood pressure was controlled with nifedipine. The patient was given magnesium sulphate, N-acetyl cystein, and vitamin C as antioxidants. We were succeeded in completing two days of lung maturation with dexamethasone in order to give the best outcome for the baby. However, at the end, after two days of lung maturation, the patient started to enter the active phase of parturition spontaneously without labor of induction. We hypothesized that the high level of corticosteroid stimulated by the fetus initiated the process of labor. Patient delivered baby boy, 1300 grams, Apgar Score 7/8 that breathed spontaneously in room air. The patient’s condition was improving after parturition. Nifedipine, magnesium sulphate was considered the best management in pre-eclampsia.  Short course of lung maturation with dexamethasone was also considered to be beneficial for the baby. However, the initiation of parturition and the use of antioxidant as well as n-acetyl cystein in this patients was under debatable discussion.</text>
