Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan komitmen guru, motivasi kerja,disiplin guru dan hambatan yang dialami kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja Guru pada MAN Model Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kepala madrasah dan guru pada MAN Model Banda Aceh. Teknik analisis data memberikan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan komitmen kerja melalui pemberdayaan guru binaan sesuai bidangnya, evaluasi supervisi kelas dan pembinaan rutin intern madrasah, dan memberikan reward kepada guru berprestasi, (2) Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja melalui pembinaan professional kerja, mengevaluasi program belajar guru, kesepakatan kerja melalui kedisiplinan waktu, dan kerjasama intern dengan kepala madrasah dan guru binaan. (3) Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan disiplin guru melalui menerapkan disiplin diri kepala madrasah sendiri sehingga dengan menerapkan disiplin diharapkan para guru akan mengikuti sebagaimana disiplin yang diterapkan kepala madrasah dengan penuh kesadaran diri dan tanpa adanya paksaan, (4) Hambatan yang dialami kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru adanya keterbatasan waktu dalam melaksanakan supervisi kelas, pembinaan profesional guru dan evaluasi PBM guru, serta alokasi dana yang terbatas pada MAN Model Banda Aceh. Some areas of the region (district) still do not get special attention for waste management facilities services from local City Sanitation Department. In this study we raised two villages located on the banks of the Kampar River and examined the management of non-organic domestic waste in this area. We choose Pulau Birandang Village and Alai Village because of the habit this people to throw garbage like non-organic waste (such as paper, plastics, etc) to the Kampar river. This act is very dangerous for the sustainability of water security and can cause silting rivers. The aims of this research to analyze the influence of commercial approach as a solution to solve waste problem in both villages. Commercial approach is the method applied by giving incentives to people who are sort the non-organic waste according to its kind. Data for this study were collected from observation using 80 questionnaires to 80 respondents from both villages, the Pulau Birandang village and Alai village. Results of the analysis is also reinforced by opinión from the leaders of them (people) who are likely to reflect the wishes of the people too. The results from this study is the commercial approach (take and give system) which applied in this villages could increase people's enthusiasm in managing domestic waste by sorting waste before it is collected. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah denganmenggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing dapatmeningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa di SMA Inshafuddin. Penelitian ini bertujuan(1) Mengetahui ketuntasan belajar siswa. (2) Mengetahui aktifitas guru dan siswapada proses belajar mengajar. (3) Mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam pengelolaanpembelajaran. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1yang berjumlah 31 orang. Sedangkan yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian iniadalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing. Instrumen yangdigunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah lembar tes ketuntasan belajar siswa,lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa dan lembar pengamatan pengelolaaanpembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut:Penerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing dapatmeningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa baik secara individual maupun secaraklasikal, dimana pada siklus I ketuntasan secara individual 58% secara klasikal 10%.Siklus II secara individual 77 % secara klasikal sebesar 50% dan siklus III secaraindividual 94% secara klasikal 90%. Aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam menggunakanmodel pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing dapat meningkatkankeaktifan siswa dalam bekerja sama pada saat belajar kelompok, dan kemandiriansiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Hal ini telah mencerminkan bahwa penggunaanmodel pembelajaran kooperatif tipe snowball throwing lebih terpusat pada siswa.Pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru juga terlihat peningkatan yaitupada siklus I 3,09, siklus II 3,31 dan siklus III 3,4. This has resulted in generation of high level of greenhouse gases emission. Therefore, in order to overcome these problems, alternative fuel has to be produced. This study was conducted to isolate potential fungal strains which can hydrolyze oil-palm residues as feedstock for bioethanol production. One hundred and sixty four fungal isolates were isolated from various sources and were screened for reducing sugars and protein production using submerged fermentation system. Out of these, 65 fungal strains were found capable to produce high specific activity relatively on oil-palm residues with the assay condition of temperature at 50oC for incubation time of 24 hours. Fungal isolate namely, Penicillium rolfsii was selected for subsequent study since it showed the highest capability to hydrolyze oil-palm residues comparing to other fungal strains based on time-course profile for 48 hours incubation time. Capability of Penicillium rolfsii on hydrolysis of oil-palm residues was evaluated by comparing to type strain of NBRC7735 and commercial enzymes (Celluclast 1.5L and Accellerase®1500).
