Low domestic water supply sanitation is considered as having an important contribution on the high frequency of waterborne diseases in the area. The study aims at recording water borne diseases and the water quality in the lowland area of Banyuasin District. This field research was conducted using a cross-sectional method. Total samples were 210 households in Telang which were observed during July through August 2011. Six water samples were measured for their physical and chemical properties, in addition to 1 water sample for bacteriological test. All respondents used river water for sanitary purposes and 41.4% of them also have dug wells. Those who used river water for sanitation, 68.5 % also consumed purified water for drinking purpose. All water samples are acidic (pH 5,68-6,19) and contain high Iron  (1-26,269 Mg/L). Water has yellowish color.  The major disease are diarrhea and skin diseases. In the lowland area with the estuarine ecosystem water quality and scarcity are serious problems. This in turn causes the high prevalent of waterborne diseases such as diarea. Low level of education and socio-economic status make it difficult for the local people to overcome these problems. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa jurusan IPA dan IPS serta perbandingan antara keduannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kuantitatif. Adapun yang menjadi populasi adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan IPA dan IPS berjumlah 198 siswa, terdiri 93 siswa jurusan IPA dan 105 siswa jurusan IPS, yang dijadikan sampel berjumlah 64, 32 siswa jurusan IPA dan 32 siswa jurusan IPS dengan menggunakan random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, hasilnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji mann-whitney. Sesuai dengan hasil yang diperoleh ternyata siswa jurusan IPA memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 87,5% hal tersebut memberi arti bahwa sebahagian besar siswa menunjukkan minat dan semangat dalam mengikuti proses belajar, yang ditandai dengan rasa senang berkerja untuk mencapai keberhasilan. Sedangkan siswa jurusan IPS memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 78,1% artinya sebahagian waktu siswa dilakukan dengan kegiatan belajar, kurang tekun menghadapi tugas, dan dapat menyelesaikan masalah belajar tanpa harus belajar lebih keras, hal ini terbentuk karena pola pengajaran dan mata pelajaran yang dialami oleh setiap jurusan masing-masing. This study aimed to determine the effect of indigenous mycorrhizalinoculation on organic osmotic adjusment in different soybean varities. This study used Split Plot Design with two plots. The main plot was soybean varieties consist of non-selected Grobogan variety (salt-sensitive variety) and F5 selected Grobogan variety (salt-tolerant variety). Split plot was mycorrhizal inoculumconsists of 7 types of mycorrhizal inoculum namely without inoculum, Glomus sp-1, Glomus sp-2, Glomus sp-3, Glomus sp-4, Glomus sp-5, and combined of all mycorrhizal inoculum. The parameters observed were leaf proline content, reducing sugar and soluble protein. The results showed that leaf proline content,reducing sugar content and soluble protein were significantly different in soybean varieties, mycorrhizal significantly affected leaf proline content, reducing sugar and soluble protein, while the soybean varieties and mycorrhizal interaction significantly affected soluble protein content in leaves.
