Pendeteksian estrus dilakukan menggunakan pejantan kambing PE.Respons berahi adalah 50% dari jumlah kambing perlakuan yang disinkronisasi.Hasil pemeriksaan LH surge menggunakan kit LH air susumenunjukkan hasil negatif, hal ini berarti bahwa kambing betina yang berahi tidak mengandungLH surge dalam air susunya pada pemerikasaan mulai 13-31 jam setelah berahi dengan interval waktu pemeriksaan 3 jam.Determinationof Time of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Surge Detection Using Milk LH Kitin Ettawa Goat (Capra sp.)ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the LH surge detection time using milk LH kits in lactating female ettawa goats. The study used 8 female goats with the age ranging from 2-2,5 years old and body weights in the range of 35-51 kg. All female goats were previously synchronised using progesterone in the CIDR-G device inserted intravaginally for 10days and were subsequently injected with prstaglandin on day 8 of CIDR-G insertion. Estrus was detected using one male goats which was introduced to the female goats group following the withrawal of the CIDR-G devices. Oestrous rate was 50% following estrus synchronisation. The result of the study showed that all female goats did not have LH surge in their milk upon detection with LH kits in all detection time starting from 13 to 31 hours following oestrous signs. Simultaneous high-speed visualization of cavitation in the cylindrical nozzle and a liquid jet are also carried out to investigate the relation between cavitation and ligament formation. As a result, the following conclusions are obtained: (1) Flow pattern transition in cavitating flows induces the transition in liquid jet patterns. As the liquid flow rate increases, flow patterns of cavitating flows and liquid jets transit from (no cavitation and wavy jet), (developing cavitation and wavy jet), (supercavitation and spray), to (hydraulic flip and flipping jet); (2) When the trace of a cavitation cloud comes out of the nozzle, a ligament is formed at the liquid jet interface.
