Oral hygiene pemakai ortodonti cekat dapat menjadi buruk karena adanya alat ortodonti cekat yang sulit dibersihkan, maka dari itu edukasi yang baik dari seorang operator sangat diperlukan. Saat ini banyak kalangan bukan dokter gigi melakukan pemasangan ortodonti cekat, dimana seharusnya pemasangan ortodonti cekat dilakukan oleh dokter gigi yang berkompetensi dalam hal tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat gambaran oral hygiene pada remaja (15-17 tahun) pemakai ortodonti cekat yang dipasang oleh dokter gigi spesialis ortodonti, dokter gigi umum dan bukan dokter gigi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 73 orang siswa/i SMAN 1, SMAN 3 dan SMA Laboratorium Unsyiah Banda Aceh dengan teknik pengambilan subjek purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan OPI (Ortho Plaque Index) sebagai alat ukur untuk mengetahui skor oral hygiene pada pemakai ortodonti cekat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa oral hygiene pemakai ortodonti cekat yang dipasang oleh dokter gigi spesialis ortodonti adalah baik 62,5%, sedang 6,25% dan buruk 31,25%. Subjek yang memasang ortodonti cekat pada dokter gigi umum adalah baik 24,4%, sedang 40%, dan buruk 35,6%, serta subjek yang memasang ortodonti cekat pada bukan dokter gigi adalah baik 16,7%, sedang 33,3%, dan buruk 50%. PCS can be define as radio technology that uses Radio Frequency (RF) as a transmission medium, which is small and light, and can be implemented indoor and outdoor. One equipment that implements this technology is called D-Link. The application of D-Link is to communicate among users either indoor or outdoor. Research methodology includes deciding the parameters and calculating the path loss between base station and portable station at the second floor of Electrical Engineering Department Syiah Kuala University. The final result was that the communication between the base station and portable station in the rooms at the second floor could exist but the process is rather slow and can experience discontinuity. This type of networks is mainly useddue to its efficiency and mobility in data exchanging. This paper reports the modeling and simulation of wirelessnetworks based on Cisco Aironet 1130ag access point devices with IEEE 802.11a and IEEE 802.11g standards. Themodeling and simulation are performed using network simulator version 2 (NS-2) that is installed on operationsystem Linux Ubuntu v.10.10. The NS-2 is commonly used and works well in numerous types of network simulation. From simulation, we obtain quality of service parameters by employing several simulation scenarios in terms ofnumber of nodes, distances, and packet data sizes. It can be concluded from simulation results that the IEEE 802.11gnetworks transfer data with better quality than those of IEEE 802.11a networks.  Furthermore, the IEEE 802.11gnetworks provide a higher throughput, with smaller amount of delay and packet loss percentage compared to thoseof IEEE 802.11a networks.
