The study was carried out in Thai Nguyen city (northern Vietnam) during August – November 2011 to evaluate impacts of a VietGAP guideline on plant growth and quality of Choy Sum, one of the major vegetables in the research area. The experiment comprised two treatments, a control (local farmers’ conventional practice) and an experimental treatment (plants grown according to the VietGAP guideline). Plant samples of the latter treatment were collected for quality test at the end of the experiment. Results showed that the experimental plants had significant higher growth parameters with regards to leaf areas (7.13 dm2) and average top plant weight (3.33 kg m-2), while those of the control treatment were 5.80 dm2 and 2.77 kg m-2, respectively. Lab test results showed the experimental plant samples met the national quality standards to be certified as a clean product. Oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengangkat masalah bagaimana hubungan antara minat siswa memilih jurusan IPA terhadap nilai Fisika, Matematika, Kimia, dan Biologi pada SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat siswa memilih jurusan IPA terhadap nilai Fisika, Matematika, Kimia, dan Biologi pada SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi SMAN 4 Banda Aceh XI sebanyak 160 siswa-siswi . Sedangkan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa-siswi kelas XI IPA sebanyak 45 siswa-siswi. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara acak. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian asosiatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari guru yang bersangkutan, pengolahan data menggunakan teknik statistik dalam bentuk uji korelasi menggunakan rumus product moment dan pemberian skor berdasarkan kepada Skala Likert. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0,80, ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara antara minat siswa memilih jurusan IPA terhadap nilai Fisika, Matematika, Kimia dan Biologi. Jika harga rhitung dibandingkan dengan rtabel maka diperoleh sebesar 0,30 pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan N = 43, sehingga diperoleh (rhitung < rtabel yaitu 0,80 < 0,301) yang artinya bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara minat siswa memilih jurusan IPA terhadap nilai Fisika, Matematika, Kimia dan Biologi pada SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. ? Numerical modelling, utilising the commercial software SVFlux and SVSlope, was carried out for a coupled analysis of rainfall-induced slope seepage and instability, with reference to a shallow landslide took place in Jabiru, Northern Territory (NT) Australia in 2007. Rainfall events were varied in terms of pattern in this analysis. The results revealed that slopes are sensitive to rainfall pattern when the rainfall intensity has a high degree of fluctuation at around the same value as that of saturated hydraulic conductivity. Average rainfall intensity at the beginning of a rainfall period plays a primary role in determining the rate of decrease in initial factor of safety (Fi) towards minimum factor of safety (Fmin). Proper characterization of the surface anisotropy is an important element in the successful interpretation of remotely sensed signals. A signal received by a sensor from a vegetation canopy is affected by several factors. One of them is the sensor zenith angle. Functional data analysis can be used to assess the distribution and variation of spectral reflectance due to sensor zenith angle. This paper examines the effect of sensor zenith angles on the spectral reflectance of vegetation, example on cotton leaves.
