Pemeriksaan payudara sendiri penting untuk deteksi dini kanker payudara untuk prognosa yang lebih baik, karena 90% benjolan dipayudara ditemukan oleh penderita sendiri. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan tindakan melakukan SADARI pada mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh Tahun 2012. Desain penelitian bersifat deskriktif korelatif dengan teknik simpel random sampling jumlah populasi 625 mahasiswi dengan sampel 86 mahasiswi. Waktu pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tanggal 17-19 Oktober 2012, alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan kuesioner dengan teknik angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan baik yang pernah melakukan SADARI 43 (87,8%), yang tidak pernah melakukan SADARI 6 (14,2%), sedangkan sikap yang baik yang pernah melakukan SADARI 46 (83,6%), yang tidak pernah melakukan SADARI 9 (16%). Kesimpulan adanya hubungan pengetahuan dengan tindakan melakukan SADARI (p=0,000) dan adanya hubungan sikap dengan tindakan melakukan SADARI (p=0,001). Disarankan kepada seluruh mahasiswi agar melakukan SADARI sebagai langkah awal deteksi dini kanker payudara. Breast self-examination is important for the early protection of breast cancer for a better prognosis, since 90% of breast lumps are found by patients themselves. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation of knowledge and attitude with the implementation of breast self-examination in students of study program of nursing sciences at Medical Faculty in Syiah Kuala University of Banda Aceh in 2012. This study used descriptive correlative design and simple random sampling technique. Population was 625 students female and samples were 86 female students. Data were collected on October 17-19, 2012. Instrument used was questionnaire with questionnaire technique. The result of the research showed that there were 43 students (87.8%) who had good knowledge and performed breast self-examination and there are 6 students (14.2%) who did not perform breast self-examination. Meanwhile, there are 46 students (83.6%) who had good attitude and performed breast self-examination and there are 9 students (16%) who did not perform breast self-examination. It could be concluded that there was a correlation between knowledge and the implementation of breast self-examination (p=0.000) and there was a correlation between attitude and the implementation of breast self-examination (p=0.001). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan masyarakat Kecamatan Teupah Barat tentang kesiapsiagaan tsunami. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 3519 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proporsional random sampling pada 97 responden yang berada di Kecamatan Teupah Barat. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara terpimpin menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk skala dichotomous yang terdiri dari 48 item pernyataan. Data di analisa secara deskriptif dengan menentukan persentase berdasarkan katagori baik dan kurang. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh pengetahuan dasar tsunami berada pada katagori baik yaitu 59 orang (60,8%), tanggapan dasar tsunami berada pada katagori baik yaitu 69 orang (71,1%), kesiapan kedaruratan dasar berada pada katagori baik yaitu 55 orang (56,7%), sistem peringatan tsunami berada pada katagori baik yaitu 52 orang (53,6%), serta sumber informasi untuk peringatan tsunami berada pada katagori baik yaitu 53 orang (54,6%). Secara umum, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan tsunami masyarakat Kecamatan Teupah Barat Kabupaten Simeulue berada pada katagori baik yaitu sebanyak 58 orang (59,8%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, diharapkan kepada lembaga terkait agar dapat memberikan penyuluhan tentang pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan tsunami dan mengubah persepsi yang keliru tentang tanda-tanda akan terjadinya tsunami sehingga masyarakat lebih siaga dalam menghadapi bencana tsunami. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesiapsiagaan rencana tanggap darurat dan mobilisasi sumber daya dalam upaya mengantisipasi dampak bencana tsunami pada masyarakat Kecamatan Teupah Barat Kabupaten Simeulue. Desain penelitian ini deskriptif eksploratif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 3519 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan proporsinal sampling untuk setiap desa sebanyak 97 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala dichotomous sebanyak 29 item pernyataan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara terpimpin. Data hasil penelitian dianalisa secara deskriptif dengan menentukan persentase berdasarkan katagori siap dan belum siap. Hasil penelitian rencana tanggap darurat ditinjau dari respon terhadap kesiapsiagaan berada pada kategori siap (58.8%), dan aspek evakuasi, penyelamatan, keselamatan, keamanan, dan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar terhadap kesiapsiagaan berada pada kategori siap (66.0%). Sedangkan mobilisasi sumber daya ditinjau dari persiapan bimbingan teknis, penyediaan materi terhadap kesiapsiagaan berada pada kategori belum siap (36.1%) dan kesiapan pendanaan serta jaringan sosial berada pada kategori siap (61.9%). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untukmelihat daya hambat dan bunuh ekstrak biji Persea americana terhadap S.mutans. Penelitian yang bersifat eksperimental laboratorik ini dilakukan terlebihdahulu membuat ekstrak biji Persea americana dan kultur S. mutans pada mediaTYS20B. Biji alpukat (Persea americana) diesktrak dengan metode maserasimenggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Uji antibakteri untuk mengetahui KonsentrasiHambat Minimum dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum dari biji Persea americanaterhadap S. mutans yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Standard PlateCount (SPC). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan kolonitelah mengalami penurunan pada konsentrasi 12,5% yaitu 328 x 104 CFU/ml danpada konsentrasi 100% tidak ditemukan pertumbuhan koloni S. mutans. Pada ujistatistik Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan ekstrak biji Persea americana memilikipengaruh antibakteri yang bermakna terhadap S. mutans. Four different concentrations of rinse solution were used in this experiment comprising of 2 g, 4 g, 6 g and 8 g of urea diluted in 4 g NaCl/L of water producing a concentration of 0.486 mM, 0.973 mM, 1.458 mM, and 1.946 mM of urea concentration respectively, while 4 g NaCl/L of water without urea were used as control. The fish eggs were rinsed with the solutions at different durations namely; 1, 5 and 10 minutes. Each rinsing solution concentration and rinsing time were conducted in three replicates. The fertilization and hatching rates increased and peaked from the control (0 mM of urea) to 0.466 mN urea and decreased when concentration of urea was increased to 0.973 mM urea and 1.458 mM urea, then increased again at 1.946 mM urea, but these values were lower than at 0.486 mM urea. Thus, the best concentration for fertilization and hatching rates were 0.486 urea of urea.
