The aim of this research is to investigate the varieties of fish captured by fisherman and the population of fish which was under threatened by the usage of Langga seine. This research used survey method with census technique by which the researcher directly visiting Fishery Auction at Pusong Baru Lhokseumawe city. The result showed that there were 73 species of fish classified as 11 Ordos and 31 families. The fish varieties comprised 45 Perciformes ordo from 18 family (62%), 7 Scombriformes Ordo (10%), 5 Clupeiformes Ordo (7%), 4 Scorpaeniformes Ordo (5%), 2 Atheriniformes Ordo (3%), 3 Percessoces Ordo (4%), 2 Pleuronectiformes Ordo (3%), 2 Tetraodontiformes (3%). Meanwhile there was only one species from each ordo Cyprinodontiformes, Siluriformes dan Gadiformes (1%). However, due to forest encroachment, the conditions of habitat at the site which is often used by elephants in the Seulawah ecosystem are changed, and including forest encroachment areas are extremely high. With the purpose to describing physically and biologically of the habitat characteristics of Sumatran elephants in the Seulawah ecosystem at Aceh Besar regency. Retrieval of data was held on 1-14 in December 2010. The parameters which used are the amount of feces found in habitat that is used by the Sumatran elephants in the Seulawah ecosystems at Aceh Besar regency. The data is collected on the track which located in the Seulawah ecosystem ata Aceh Besar regency and samples used are track with measure of  100x3m and then divided into 8 plots with distance between plots are 500m. The results showed that the Sumatran elephant selecting habitat unit with criteria (a) the slope of the ramps (0-20o), (b) close to the water source (0-250m), (c) close to the primary forest (0-500m); (d) the availability of minerals rare trees (<3 trees), (e) low-elevation land (0-400m), (f) the availability of many feed (75%), (g) closing the canopy is very rare (0-25 %), (h) the availability of body scrub trees are rare (<3 trees), and (i) the type of secondary forest. The results provide information about the factors that determine the selection of habitat by Sumatran elephants that can contribute in the management of suitable habitat for Sumatran elephants. This condition is expected to reduce elephant conflicts with the surrounding area. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of respiratory equipment models in explaining the dangers of smoking on the students. Subjects in this study were the students who smoked in the Class IX students numbering 50 people. The method used in this study is an experiment in "Pre-test and post-test." Data were analyzed with statistical t-test formula. Results of data analysis obtained t = 13.1 (α = 0.05; db = 49) obtained t table price = 2.01, which is well known t> t table. Thus, it can be concluded that the knowledge given to students about the dangers of cigarettes and content by using the modeling tools can improve students' knowledge of Class IX SMP Negeri 13 Banda Aceh on the respiratory system and knowledge about the dangers of cigarettes. Multispectral algorithm will be developed to correlate light backscattering radiation of a vegetable with the level of shelf life conditions. The partial least square (PLS) regression models using three wavelengths were used to estimate the shelf life changes of the vegetable samples. The results showed that the developed multispectral scattering algorithms can be used to evaluate the shelf life changes of Chinese cabbage, carrot, chili, and cucumber using wavelengths at 880, 890, and 950 nm as the light sources respectively.  The calibration and validation processes of the algorithm produced good accuracy measurements as represented by high R2 values and low Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). For the Chinese cabbage and the carrot samples, the algorithm was not effective to predict the changes of the shelf life because the responses was kept increasing even after the samples were dried and deteriorated. The aims of this study were to describe relationship of D-loop of mtDNA Aceh cattle which is useful database for conducting conservation programme. The whole blood samples were collected (8 samples for D-loop analysis) from four locations which were Aceh Besar, Pidie, North Aceh regencies and Banda Aceh city. Out group whole blood samples were collected from two samples from Bali cattles (Bali Island), Madura cattle (Madura Island), Pesisir cattle (West Sumatera) respectively and one sample from PO cattle (West Java). Amplification of D-loop sequences of mtDNA with BIDLF and BIDLR primary have PCR product 980 bp. The Data were analyzed using Squint 1.02 and MEGA 4.0 programme.
