<text>An experiment had been carried out on formation of Bi-2212 crystals with the self-flux method. Flux was used and derived from CuO and CaCO3. The process of synthesis was equipped with the melting process at temperature 890 °C with time variation of melting 35 minutes and 40 minutes, followed by slow cooling at a rate of 1°C/hour for 70 hours. The results were obtained and characterized by XRD test. This research aimed to produce superconducting materials with self-flux method, calculate the percentage of the value of the volume fraction, the percentage of oriented phase and impurities. Samples generated from XRD measurements were made to match with the XRD Strobell’s pattern of the superconducting Bi-2212 standards. The results showed that the value of the volume fraction of 2212 phase and the phase of the highest oriented melting at 40 minutes were equal to 67.68% and 38.89%, while the smallest impurity phase of 32.32% were obtained at the same time melting.</text>

The Si- Ge-H films ware grown on corning glass 7059 substrate using 10% dilutedGeH4 and SiH4 gas mixture, respectively. The GeH4 gas flow rate was varied from 2.5 to 12.5 sccm, while the flowrate of SiH was kept constant at 70 sccm. The results showed that the deposition rate of Si-Ge-H thin films wasincreases with the increasing of GeH4 gas flow rate. Beside, the Ge content in the film also increased, and the opticalband gap decreased. The dark conductivity of Si- Ge-H films was relatively constant, whereas the photo ’sconductivity decreased with increasing of Ge content.</text>

<text>Silica particles had been successfully separated and extracted from rice husk by using solution of sodium hydroxides (NaOH) as solvent and were characterized with SEM-EDX. The data SEM-EDX showed that the extracted component of the rice husk contained 79,55% (w/w) of silica as the primary component. In order to understand the adsorption capacity of silica in removing free fatty acids (FFA) which were recognized as the contaminants in biodiesel., the profile of time dependence and silica amount in the adsorption process had been investigated in this study. The results indicated that the adsorption process showed optimum condition at 30 minutes with the free fatty acids (about 90,64%) of adsorption). Moreover, the adsorption capacity of silica to those impurities contaminated in biodiesel was proportional to the amount of adsorbent used in the experiment. Finally, biodiesel with less FFA was produced, and the FFA residues remained in the biodiesel were 0,58 mg/g.</text>

<text>This study was conducted to determine the effect of ethanol extract of curry leaves (Murraya koenigii L.) on blood glucose levels in alloxan diabetic mice (Mus musculus). The diabetic conditions were made by giving alloxan 75 mg/kg body weight (BW) and the hypoglycemic effects of extract of curry leaves given with various doses.   This study used 24 male mice strain Balb/c in four groups of treatment with six replications, namely the negative control group, the ethanol extract of curry leaf tree 50% mL/10g body weight group, 70% mL/10g body weight group and 90% mL/10g body weight group. The treatment was given orally by using a gastric sonde for 14 days. Blood samples were taken through the sinus caudalis using a scissors. Blood glucose level was measured at 1st , the 8th and the 24th of treatment using blood glucose test strips and Nesco® Multicheck apparatus. Blood glucose data were analyzed by one way ANOVA (Analysis of Variants) and followed by Tuckey test at significance level of 5%. The result showed that treatment of ethanol extract of curry leaves (Murraya koenigii) at various doses significantly affected the decrease on blood glucose levels of mice (Mus musculus) alloxan diabetic.</text>
