Based on morphological characters,  5 species of Pandanus have been identified in the area  as  Pandanus atrocarpus, Pandanus labyrinthicus, Pandanus militaris, Pandanus odoratissimus and Pandanus tectorius. The morphology and life cycle of species were categorized into two types, and they are medium arborescent pandan  (Pandanus labyrinthicus and Pandanus militaris) and large arborescent pandan (Pandanus atrocarpus, Pandanus odoratissimus and Pandanus tectorius).  Anatomical characters of Pandanus such as stomata (type, size, papilla) and epidermal cells supported the morphological features. Hypertension directly affects the physiological process of blood circulation in the brain. Disturbances in cognitive function is one of the complications of hypertension. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of hypertension to cognitive function. This research uses observational analytic with cross sectional approach. Subjects in this research were hypertensive patients who come to the Polyclinic Internal Medicine dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital in Banda Aceh. Samples were taken by purposive sampling a total of 42 respondents. Data was collected through questionnaires MMSE and blood pressure measurements. Data were analyzed by chi-square statistical test. Research results obtained were 48.0 % stage 1 and stage 2 29.4 % with disturbance cognitive function. There was no significant relationship between hypertension and cognitive function (p=0,228 > ? 0,05 ). The conclusion is there are other factors that can affect cognitive function in patients with hypertension such as age, hypertension treatment, duration of suffering from hypertension, education and occupation so as hypertension does not affect cognitive function in Poly Clinic Internal Medicine dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital Banda Aceh. The concludsionist there are other factors that affect cognitive function in patients with hypertension in Polyclinic Internal Medicine dr. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan hipertensi terhadap fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien hipertensi yang datang ke PoliKlinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposive sampling sebanyak 42 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner MMSE dan pengukuran tekanan darah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan hipertensi stage 1 48,0% dan stage 2 29,4% yang mengalami gangguan fungsi kognitif. Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara hipertensi dengan fungsi kognitif (p=0,228 > ? 0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempertahankan fungsi kognitif pada penderita hipertensi di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin. Mungkin faktor tesebut adalah kebiasaan minum kopi dan aktivitas fisik. Kata kunci : hipertensi, fungsi kognitif. The purpose of this study was to investigate the biology of P. marginatus on the cassava leaves. The result showed that the insect development time on cassava leaves were: 8.0 ± 0.79 days for egg stage, 5.3 ± 0.67 days for first instar nymph, 5.5 ± 0.84 days for the second instar of female nymph, 5.3 ± 0.50 days for the second instar of male nymph, 5.4 ± 0.51 days for the third instar of female nymph, and 3.6 ± 0.52 days for the third instar of male nymph (pre pupa), respectively. The development time of IV instar of male nymp (pupa) was 56,6 ± 0,58 days. The development time of the adult stage for female and male progeny were 14 ± 1,24 days and 43,3 ± 0,58 days.
