Data terakhir bulan Februari tahun 2013 jumlah narapidana wanita di Indonesia adalah 5.031 orang. Para narapidana akan mengalami pemenjaraan atau penahanan yang memunculkan minimnya kontak dengan dunia luar. Penilaian negatif dari masyarakat juga mereka dapatkan sehingga mereka terkucilkan. Hal ini dapat mempengaruhi konsep diri mereka. Tujuan umum penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri narapidana wanita di Cabang Rumah Tahanan Lhoknga Aceh Besar tahun 2013. Sedangkan tujuan khusus adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran citra tubuh, ideal diri, harga diri, peran diri dan identitas diri narapidana wanita di Cabang Rumah Tahanan Lhoknga Aceh Besar tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian deskriptif naratif dengan desain cross sectional study. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling yaitu 50 orang dari populasi 50 orang. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 16 April 2013. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dalam bentuk dikotomi dengan 28 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri narapidana wanita berada pada kategori positif (60%) yaitu citra tubuh 74%, ideal diri 80%, harga diri 74%, peran diri 70% dan identitas diri 60%. Rekomendasi kepada Kepala rumah tahanan agar terus meningkatkan pembinaan bagi para narapidana berupa pendidikan dan konseling, sehingga para narapidana akan membentuk konsep diri yang positif.
