The purposes of this study were to identify the polymorphism of the lactoferrin gene and the association of genetic variants of the lactoferrin gene on milk quality in Holstein-Friesian (HF) cows. The study was conducted on 194 heads of HF lactating cows coming from semi intensive of small dairy farmers in two villages of the KPSBU Lembang, Lembang district. Investigation on variant genotypes of the lactoferrin gene used PCR-RFLP method. Genotyping of the lactoferrin gene with EcoRI restriction enzyme produced two genotypes, i.e. AA (65%) and AB (35%) genotypes. Both the AA and AB genotypes had inconsistency in controlling component of the milk quality. Further, the AB lactoferrin cows had a higher frequency in the classification of low somatic cells count (0.75), while the AA cows were at a higher frequency in the classification of high somatic cells count (0.60). It was concluded that there is no strong relationship between intron 6 lactoferrin gene with milk quality parameters. Further, the AB genotype of the lactoferrin gene had a consistency in producing lower somatic cells count compared to the AA genotype. Pengujian aktivitas sitotoksik dilakukan terhadap semua ekstrak dan fraksi gabungan dari hasil fraksinasi ekstrak etil asetat. Hasil ekstraksi kulit akar tumbuhan biduri(5,3 kg) menggunakan pelarut metanol menghasilkan ekstrak metanol sebanyak 73,04 g. Hasil partisi menggunakan pelarut n-heksan dan etil asetat menghasilkan ekstrak pekat n-heksan dan etil asetat masing-masing sebanyak 19,2 g dan 27,73 g, sedangkan ekstrak pekat metanol diperoleh sebanyak 24,67 g. Hasil uji fitokimia akar segar, ekstrak dan fraksi gabungan positif mengandung metabolit sekundersaponin, kumarin dan terpenoid. Hasil uji aktivitas sitotoksik terhadap larva Artemia salina menghasilkan nilai LC50 sebesar63,82 ppm untuk ekstrak metanol, 36,79ppm untuk ekstrak etil asetat dan 72,84ppm untuk ekstrak n-heksan. Nilai LC50 fraksi gabungan A-F masing-masing yaitu 593,82ppm, 595,88ppm, 20,29ppm, 18,94ppm, 31,61ppm dan 94,35ppm. The methanolextracts from C. gigantea root bark extraction by usingmethanol solvent was 73.04 g.From the partition using n-hexane and ethyl acetate as the solvents we obtained 19.2 g and 27.73 g extracts, while asthe concentrated methanol extract results in 24.67 g. From the phytochemical test of fresh root, extract and combined fractions, we obtained positive results of secondary metabolites such as saponins, coumarins and terpenoids. Aimed of this research was to find out the optimal level of molasses addition to improve quality, dry matter and organic matter digestibility of rice straw ammonization process. Materials used were rumen fluid of fistula cattle, grind of rice straw, water, urea and molasses. Research designed used Completely Randomized Design (CRD). As treatments were R0: rice straw 1000 g dry matter + 500 g water + 50 g urea + 0 percent of molasses, R1: R0 + 15 percent of molasses, R2: R0 + 30 percent of molasses. Urea and molasses dissolved in water and then entered into pollybag. All pollybag observe and let for 15 days, each treatment replicated 6 times. Variable measured were dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility. Research result showed that ammonization product of NH3, Acidity Level and crude fiber having decreased while crude protein content increased. Variance analysis indicated that treatments had significant effect (P<0.05) on dry matter and organic matter digestibility. Orthogonal polynomial test indicated that level of molasses increase (P<0.05) of dry matter and organic matter digestibility linearly. It can be concluded that addition up to 30 percent in ammoniating of rice straw using urea can improve quality of ammonization and increasing dry matter and organic matter digestibility. Simental bulls often experience a decline in production and semen quality in the rainy season, which have a higher humidity and high rainfall. This study aims to maintain nutrient consumption, production and semen quality Simental bulls during the rainy season through the supplementation of Vitamin E, Selenium and Zinc Minerals. The study was conducted in July-December 2012 at the Artificial Insemination Center (BIB) Unggaran. The research material used in this study were 12 males Simental cows BIB Unggaran grouped by age. The experimental design used in this study is a randomized block design (RBD) with 3 treatments T1 (ration + Vit. E), T2 (ration + Vit. E + Se), T3 (ration + Vit. E + Se + Zn) and 4 groups as replicates. Parameters measured were dry matter intake and nutrient consumption, production and semen quality. Cement production was measured from fresh semen volume during the study, whereas semen quality measured motility and concentration of spermatozoa from fresh semen. Data consumption of dry matter and nutrient intake obtained were processed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan test. While data on production and semen quality were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the combination of vitamin E supplementation, minerals Selenium and Zinc did not affect dry matter intake, total digestible nutriens and crude protein, but resulted in a decrease in the percentage of shelter, semen volume, sperm motility and concentration smaller than before treatment. Treatment T1, T2 and T3 resulted in a decrease in the number of shelter respectively 41,55%, 19,56% and 13,63% compared to before treatment, whereas a decrease in semen volume unchanged at 44,9 %, 43,7% and 40,99%. Sperm motility due to treatment T1, T2 and T3 respectively decreased by 55,87%, 22,10% and 13,63% compared to before treatment. In line with sperm motility, sperm concentration in treatment T , T2 and T3, respectively decreased by 49,16%, 22,85% and 14,88%. The conclusion is a combination of vitamin E supplementation, minerals Selenium and Zinc can prevent the decline in cement production, sperm motility and sperm concentration Simental bulls during the rainy season. Jika seseorang berhasil mencapai motivasinya, maka yang bersangkutan cenderung untuk terus termotivasi. Sebaliknya, jika seseorang sering gagal mewujudkan motivasinya, maka yang bersangkutan mungkin tetap ulet terus berusaha dan berdoa sampai motivasinya tercapai atau justru menjadi putus asa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja dan kemampuan mengajar guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada gugus II Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Kebayakan Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun yang dijadikan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru dan siswa yang ada pada gugus II Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Kebayakan Kabupaten Aceh Tengah sedangkan yang dijadikan sampel sebanyak 31 orang guru dan 31 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis pertama terdapat pengaruh yang positif motivasi kerja dengan prestasi belajar siswa (rx1y=0,670), kedua terdapat pengaruh yang positif kemampuan mengajar guru dengan prestasi belajar siswa (rx2y=0,691), ketiga terdapat pengaruh yang positif motivasi kerja dan kemampuan mengajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (rx1x2= 0,856). Hasil analisis secara bersamaan menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kemampuan mengajar guru dapat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa.
