Aimed of this research was to find out the optimal level of molasses addition at straw rice ammonization process to N-NH3 production, VFA and microbe protein synthesis. Material used was rumen fluid of fistula cattle, rice straw, water, urea and molasses. Treatment tried was level of molasses addition 0%, 15% and 30% on rice straw which given urea. Research was carried out by experimental method as in vitro, was conducted use completely randomized design. Variable measured were N-NH3, VFA and microbe protein synthesis. Intake data entered in data tabulation and analyzed variance then continued by orthogonal polynomial test. Research result after ammonization indicated that acidity level and concentration of released NH3 decrease parallel with addition of molasses level, and also increase the nutrient content which was crude protein increase and crude fiber decrease. Variance analysis and Test of orthogonal polynomial result indicated that treatment of molasses addition have highly significant effect (P<0.01) and linier respond to concentration of released NH3 after ammonization. Research result as in vitro indicated concentration N-NH3 and VFA total decrease while microbe protein synthesis increase. Variance analysis result indicated that molasses addition treatment at straw rice ammonization process have highly significant (P < 0.01) on concentration of N-NH3, VFA total and Microbe Protein Synthesis. The objective of this research to study on the technical aspect management of local buffalo in Gayo Lues district. Forty local buffalo farmers located in three selected sub district of Rikit Gaib, Pantan Cuaca and Dabun Gelang in Gayo Lues were visited and data or informations were collected through interview of the farmers. Data collected included: breed and breeding performance, feed and feeding practices, rearing practices, health aspect and marketing. The data were tabulated and compared with the standard guideline of buffalo management from the Directorate General of Livestock Service (DGLS). Result showed that management practices of local buffalo applied by farmers in Gayo Lues were found very low, only 40.16% of the standard management from DGLS. Application of health (64.57%), and housing (74.78%), while application of breeding and reproduction, rearing practices and feed and feeding were 41.76%, 46.50%, and 17.67% of the standard, respectively. Gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dapat dialami oleh penderita thalassemia beta mayor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti hubungan antara tumbuh kembang balita dengan kualitas hidup penderita thalassemia beta mayor. Penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan menggunakan rancangan Cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah balita penderita thalassemia beta mayor dengan metode accidental sampling sebanyak 39 balita, dimana 9 balita memiliki status pertumbuhan tidak normal, 30 balita memiliki status pertumbuhan normal, untuk status perkembangan yang tidak normal terdapat 14 balita dan sesuai 25 balita, sedangkan untuk kualitas hidup balita yang tidak normal sebanyak 5 balita dan yang normal 34 balita. Variabel Penilaian kualitas hidup melalui wawancara pada orangtua balita menggunakan kuesioner PedsQLTm, pertumbuhan melalui pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan balita dan perkembangan melalui wawancara menggunakan KPSP. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil analisis tidak didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna antara pertumbuhan balita dengan kualitas hidup penderita thalassemia beta mayor (p value = 0,572) dan tidak didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna anatara perkembangan balita dengan kualitas hidup penderita thalassemia beta mayor (p value = 0,636). The first experiments undertaken to make rice straw fermentation, using experimental methods with a Completely Randomized Design. As the treatment were White rot fungi (Phanerochaete chrysosporium) 0, 5 and 10 g/kg of rice straw (DM basis). Each treatment was repeated six times, so there are 18 experimental units. The variables measured included nutrient content of rice straw. A second experiment carried out in vitro to test the best rice straw fermentation results of the first experiment, using experimental methods, with a Completely Randomized Design. As the treatment were the supplementation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (0, 2, 4% of the weight of fermented rice straw, DM basis). The variables measured included digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, cellulose and lignin digestibility of feed containing fermented straw. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance test followed by Orthogonal Polynomials. The results can be concluded that the fermented rice straw using Phanerochaete chrysosporium 10 g/kg of rice straw is the best nutrient content. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan lingkar perutpada pasien dengan dislipidemia di Poli Endokrin dan Metabolik RSU Dr. ZainoelAbidin Banda Aceh tahun 2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitikobservasional dan dilakukan dengan desain cross sectional dengan metodepengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Sampel diambil daridata rekam medik untuk hasil pemeriksaan profil lipid lalu dilakukan pengukuranIMT dan lingkar perut. Jumlah responden sebanyak 64 orang dari tanggal 15 Januarisampai dengan 15 Februari 2014. Data dianalisis dengan uji Chi Square dan ujiPearson.
