Variasi substitusi dari abu sekam padi terhadap pasir ke dalam campuran tanah liat/pasir juga dilakukan pengkajian pengaruh komposisi substitusi dari material abu sekam padi tersebut pada setiap elevasi temperatur dan Pengukuran sifat fisis pada material komposit tanah liat/pasir/abu sekam padi. Kemudian subtitusi material organik seperti abu sekam padi (Rice husk ash) kedalam campuran komposit tanah liat/pasir pada awalnya bertujuan untuk memperbaiki penyusutan (Shrinkage) komposit tanah liat pasir tersebut. Selanjutnya subtitusi abu sekam padi kedalam campuran komposit tanah liat/pasir juga dapat memperbaiki sifat-sifat fisis dan mekanik dari komposit tanah liat. Pengukuran sifat fisis lain yang dilakukan seperti pengukuran terhadap serapan air (Water absorption) dan massa jenis (Density), sedangkan pengujian mekanik yang dilakukan adalah pengujian kuat tekan dari material keramik komposit tersebut. Dengan berorientasi pada pengurangan ketergantungan material uji terhadap faktor-faktor non teknik, metode perlakuan panas pada beberapa variasi temperatur pemanasan dengan teknik pendinginan lambat terhadap material uji hingga tercapainya temperatur kamar dilakukan dengan menggunakan tungku pemanas elektrik yang telah diintegrasikan dengan alat pengontrol temperatur (Temperature-controlled furnace). Penggunaan metode perlakuan panas dengan teknik perlakuan panas tentunya menghasilkan material-material keramik komposit tanah liat/pasir/abu sekam padi yang memiliki sifat dan karakteristik yang seragam karena dipengaruhi oleh faktor teknik (Engineering factors). As social-economic demands increased, the complexity of family needs grew higher. To fulfill them, woman has to take part in making a living. This research aims to see economical performance of women in running merchant-cart-fried-chicken, identifying the obstacles faced and giving alternatives of solution. This research was conducted by survey method, with respondents of merchant-cart-fried-chicken seller in several markets in Padang city. Sample was taken with proportional allocation of 15 people. Data was analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The research showed that economical performance of women merchant-cart-fried-chicken seller is low with working hour o5 5.07 hours/day. Percentage of women that take part in all activities start from planning to marketing is 32.5%. This is a potential business to develop, with average income 92.259,58 IDR/day and average R/C ratio 1.29. Internal constraints were family relation pattern that scoped women’s part in fulfilling family need, meanwhile the external constraints were the difficulties in acquiring more capital to develop the business and the price fluctuation of chicken as a main raw material. Alternative solution that can be offered was opening the business at home so that women can spare more time to work the business and accessing soft loan with light requirements. The conclusion of the research was that women took part in making a living for the family, however the contribution is low due to patriarchy value as an internal constraint and capital problem as external constraint. The solution offered was taking soft loan and building relation with raw material supplier. This study aims to determine the effect of inorganic NPK fertilizer dose and concentration of growth regulators gibberellin (GA3) on the growth of vegetative and generative plant lemon cui. This research was conducted in the experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University Syiah Kuala which lasted from March to October 2013. This study used a randomized block design pattern 2 x 5 factorial with 3 replications, each unit consisting of 2 plants. Factors studied were dose of NPK fertilizer consisting of 10 g/ polybag and 20 g/ polybag and gibberellin concentration consists of control, 150 ppm, 300 ppm, 450 ppm and 600 ppm. The results showed that the dose of NPK fertilizer significantly affected the number of leaves at 30, 60 and 90 HST. The best plant growth contained in the treatment of 10 g/ polybag. Gibberellin concentration significantly affect the amount of interest at the age of 100 HST and the amount of fruit, flowers and percentage loss fruit diameter at the age of 150 HST. The best plant growth found on the treatment concentration of 300 ppm gibberellin. Interaction between NPK fertilizers and gibberellin concentration effect is not significant on all of the observed variables.Keywords: Citrus microcarpa, NPK, GibberellinPengaruh dosis pupuk npk dan konsentrasi giberelin terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman jeruk lemon cui (Citrus microcarpa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk anorganik NPK dan konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh giberelin (GA3) terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman jeruk lemon cui. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan, fakultas pertanian, universitas syiah kuala yang berlangsung sejak maret hingga oktober 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola Faktorial 2 x 5 dengan 3 ulangan, setiap unit terdiri dari 2 tanaman. Faktor yang diteliti adalah dosis pupuk NPK yang terdiri atas 10 g/polibag dan 20 g/polibag dan konsentrasi giberelin terdiri atas kontrol, 150 ppm, 300 ppm, 450 ppm dan 600 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada umur 30, 60 dan 90 hari setelah tanam (HST). Pertumbuhan tanaman terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan 10 g/polibag. Konsentrasi giberelin berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bunga pada umur 100 HST serta jumlah buah, presentase rontok bunga dan diameter buah pada umur 150 HST. Pertumbuhan tanaman terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan konsentrasi giberelin 300 ppm. Interaksi antara dosis pupuk NPK dan konsentrasi giberelin berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. The research on effectivity of fermentation with different substrates source on rice straw quality has been conducted at Animal Husbandry Field Laboratory, University of Syiah Kuala.  The objective of study is to learn rice straw fermented quality as animal feed with addition of different substrat.  Complete Randomize Design with factorial pattern consist of two factors which were A = storage time with 2 level ( a1 = one month; a2 = two month) and B = substrate sources  (b1 = Coccoa skin fruit, b2 = rice bean  and b3 = sagoo).  Variables observed were protein level, crude fiber and ash level.  The statistical analisis show that there is no significant effect of treatment on protein level, crude fiber and ash.  There is no interaction between source of substrates and storage time. These results revealed that all substrates source (coccoa skin fruit, rice bran and sagoo) could used as an energy for starter in rice straw fermented.
