The objectives of this study was to determine the performance of beef cattle farm under improved production systems of farmer group in the rural areas. Data were collected from 20 beef cattle farmer groups located in Cilacap, Banyumas, Banjarnegara and Kebumen regencies. Intervension factors such as improved production system including aspects of institutional, banking access, diversification of business, trading, and development programs. Regular reporting, interviews, field observations, and forum group discussion were implemented. Descriptive analysis was applied in this study. Variables focused on livestock production systems improvement, type and performance of development program, social resource potential and group dynamics, productivity levels, and also proposed program and recommendations of action programs. This study revealed that 10% of beef cattle farmer group implementing fattening cattle, and mostly (90%) applying combination of cow-calf operation and fattening. All of the beef cattle farmer group (100%) had a high score of social resources potential, while the group dynamics tend to stable (60%) and increased (40%). Mean of reproduction performance were 2.4 (S/C), 13.7 month (calving interval), and 76.5% (pregnancy rate). In general, BCS ranging from 4 to 7 with the highest score of 6 (45%) and followed by 7 (40%). Yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar dengan penerapan Model pembelajaran Time Token pada materi pembentukan muka bumi di SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Selanjutnya, instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar pengamatan pengelolaan pembelajaran dan lembar respon siswa terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Model Time Token. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: (1) Aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam penerapan Model Time Token telah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini telah mencerminkan penerapan Model Time Token pada saat guru memberikan setiap kupon berbicara dan setiap siswa mampu berpendapat sesuai kupon yang didapatkan. (2) Pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru juga terjadi peningkatan yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 2,56 dan siklus II sebesar 3,49 (3) Respon siswa terhadap kegiatan belajar bersifat senang terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dilaksanakan, jelas atas bimbingan yang diberikan oleh guru dan Model Time Token dapat dilaksanakan untuk pembelajaran dimasa yang akan datang (4) Penerapan Model pembelajaran Time Token dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, pada siklus I secara individual telah tuntas sebesar 63,15 persen dan secara klasikal sebesar 50 persen, sedangkan pada siklus II secara individual telah tuntas sebesar 89,47 persen dan secara klasikal sebesar 70 persen. Salah satu infeksi nosokomial di Ruang Rawat Intensif yang sering terjadi dan memperpanjang masa rawatan adalah Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui angka kejadian dan jenis mikroorganisme penyebab CLABSI di Ruang Rawat Intensif RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh dalam periode Agustus sampai Desember 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan rancangan survei. Sampel penelitian ini adalah semua pasien pengguna kateter vena yang didiagnosis klinis sebagai CLABSI, dilakukan pemeriksaan kultur darah untuk mengetahui mikroorganisme penyebabnya. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan 50 pasien yang menggunakan kateter vena sentral, 5 pasien diantaranya didiagnosis CLABSI. Angka kejadian CLABSI di Ruang Rawat Intensif didapatkan 9,57 per 1000 hari penggunaan kateter vena sentral. mikroorganisme penyebab CLABSI adalah Staphylococcus aureus (60%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (20%) dan Klebsiella pneumoniae (20%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa angka kejadian CLABSI di Ruang Rawat Intensif RSUD dr. Fish waste (head, viscera and tails) which ensilage with saccharomyces sp and lactobacillus sp, had a high quality and protein content of about 53,18 ± 0,83% and a good aroma. An experiment have been conducted by experimental method with in sacco trial and in vivo trial. The treatment tested were 4 kind of protein source : (1) fish waste silages mixed with tapioca ; (2) fish waste silages mixed with rice bran ; (3) soy bean kernels and (4) fish meal. The in sacco trial was carried out on 3 fistulated cows, to study the rate of protein degradability in the rumen. The in vivo trial was carried out by Completely Randomized Design on 16 heads of fat tail rams. The variable measured were: rumen fermentation product (VFA and N-NH3); energy and protein digestibility; daily body weight gain of the rams. The experiment showed, that the source of protein use have no significantly effect upon VFA both on the VFA total and individual VFA (acetate, propionate and butyrate). The highest propionate reach by soya bean kernels (P < 0.01). Based on the all variables measured, it was indicated the silage of fish waste can be used to substituted of soya bean kernels or fish meal in the ration of sheep. The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of Squilla empusa fermentation as fish meal substitute in diet layer on cholesterol and omega-9 fatty acid yolk eggs. This research was conducted by completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 5 replications. The treatments are P0 = 0% fermented Squilla empusa + 15% fish meal; P1 = 5% fermented Squilla empusa + 10% fish meal; P2 = 10% fermented Squilla empusa + 15% fish meal; and P3 = 15% fermented Squilla empusa + 0% fish meal. Cholesterol, Omega-9 fatty acid yolk eggs responding variables measured. The results of this study shows that the yolk cholesterol and omega - 9 was non significant (P<0.05). Average of yolk cholesterol (ppm) and omega - 9 (gram) for P0; P1; P2; and P3 were 7.622; 9.200; 9.198; and 9.442; and omega – 9 fatty acid yolk (%) were 18.404; 17.520; 19.230 and 19.456 respectively. Conclusion of this study (i) there are possibility using fermented Squilla empusa until 15% as fish meal substitute in diet of layers, (ii) there are good effect on eggs quality in term of cholesterol and Omega – 9 fatty yolk.
