Sekam dan abu sekam merupakan limbah proses pengolahan gabah dan tidak dikonsumsi manusia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Struktur Fakultas Teknik Universitas Syiah Kuala. Komposisi campuran bata sekam dan abu sekam ini terdiri dari semen, pasir, sekam, abu sekam dan air dengan perbandingan 1 : 3 : 1 (1PC : 3SAS : 1PS). Komposisi bata sekam dan abu sekam tersebut dilakukan dengan proses pemadatan dari 140% volume campuran bata sekam dan abu sekam menjadi 100% volume bata sekam dan abu sekam dengan ukuran 5 cm x 10 cm x 20 cm untuk bata tunggal dan 5 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm untuk bata berpasangan dengan tebal siar 1 cm, kemudian dilakukan pengujian karakteristik sifat-sifat mekanik dan fisis benda uji seperti; kuat tekan dan berat jenis setelah pengeringan berumur 28 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian kuat tekan bata sekam dan abu sekam (chaff-A-brick) menunjukkan bahwa bata sekam dan abu sekam tidak memenuhi syarat-syarat kekuatan bata menurut SNI-030348-1989 dan Ni-10,1978 : 6. Nilai kuat tekan bata sekam dan abu sekam tunggal untuk kondisi tidak terlindung sebesar 14,52 kg/cm2 sedangkan nilai kuat tekan bata sekam dan abu sekam tunggal pada kondisi telindung turun sebesar 13,91% menjadi 12,50 kg/cm2. Nilai kuat tekan bata sekam dan abu sekam berpasangan untuk kondisi tidak terlindung sebesar 7,25 kg/cm2 sedangkan nilai kuat tekan bata sekam dan abu sekam berpasangan pada kondisi terlindung turun menjadi 6,12 kg/cm2. Besarnya berat jenis bata sekam dan abu sekam tidak terlindung sebesar 1,13 gr/cm3 sedangkan pada bata terlindung sebesar 1,14 gr/cm3 yang dapat digolongkan sebagai bata ringan berdasarkan ASTM C 55-06. The objective of the present study was to examine the water quality and macrozoobenthos community of Belumai, North Sumatra. The study was conducted from March to May 2013 at three  sampling locations for three times sampling with one month interval. The water quality parameters which recorded in the study was temperature, current velocity, stream width, depth, turbidity, pH, DO, COD, TOM. The results shows that the Belumai River has a high turbidity level (163.57 - 242.6 NTU) and COD have passed the threshold standard class 1, which is intended to standards drinking water. The dominant macrozoobenthos was the Oligochaeta (79%). The Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) is displaying 2 group where the group A (station 1) has a fairly good water conditions characterized by the presence of organisms that are facultative i.e. Gastropoda, while group B (station 2,3, and 4) was considered as polluted areas indicating by the present of a dominant macrocoobenthos fauna of Oligochaeta. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai kondisi perairan dan komunitas makrozoobentos di Sungai Belumai, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Maret sampai Mei 2013 di empat 4 stasiun, pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali dengan interval sebulan sekali. Parameter yang diukur adalah suhu air, kecepatan arus, lebar sungai, kedalaman, kekeruhan, pH, DO, COD, TOM, dan Makrozoobentos.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sungai Belumai memiliki tingkat kekeruhan yang tinggi yaitu 163,57 – 242,6 NTU dan nilai COD telah melewati ambang batas baku mutu kelas 1, yang diperuntukkan untuk baku mutu air minum. Makrozoobentos yang mendominasi yaitu dari kelas Oligochaeta sebesar 79%. Analisis Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC), menghasilkan 2 kelompok dendogram, yaitu  kelompok A (Stasiun 1) memiliki kondisi perairan yang cukup baik ditandai dengan keberadaan organisme yang bersifat fakultatif yaitu dari kelas Gastropoda sedangkan kelompok B (Stasiun 2,3, dan 4) telah tercemar ditandai dengan keberadaan organisme dari kelas Oligochaeta yang jumlahnya mendominasi. Perubahan-perubahan pada sendi lutut ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor resiko diantaranya kegemukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara kegemukan sebagai faktor resiko yang diwakili oleh Rasio Lingkar Pinggang Panggul dengan derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoartritis lutut. Penelitian dilakukan di Poliklinik Bedah Ortopedi dan Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian bersifat studi cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling dengan melakukan wawancara terpimpin menggunakan kuisioner WOMAC yang dilakukan selama bulan September 2014 sampai November 2014 dengan 36 orang wanita sebagai sampel penelitian. Analisa data menggunakan chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penderita OA yang mengalami obesitas sebanyak 26 orang (72%), dan yang Non Obes 10 orang (28%), derajat obesitas ditentukan berdasarkan RLPP penderita OA. Sedangkan derajat nyeri yang ditunjukkan oleh penderita OA yang obesitas berupa nyeri berat sebanyak 15 orang (57%) dan nyeri ringan 11 orang (43%), dan pada pasien non obes didapatkan nyeri berat diderita oleh 4 orang (40%) dan nyeri ringan 6 orang (60%). This study was using secondary data from the Aceh province, during 1984 to 2011. This study used multiple linear regression model, adapting from Gujarati (2009). After using econometric tools such as SPSS, It can be concluded that government development expenditure (APBN, APBD) has a negative significant effect on GRDP in Aceh province. The credit expansion has a positive significant effect on GRDP of Aceh province. The result of this study confirm that view of government development expenditure (APBN, APBD) in Aceh province has not been productive, but counter the widely held view the government expenditure is increasing GRDP. The credit expansion can boost the economy of Aceh on that model, probably because with the amount of money spent on the community it will increase government revenue, link taxes on economic activities.
