Geologically, Simpang Tiga is formed by sedimentary rocks and carbonate minerals. This study aims is to identify the types of minerals in Simpang Tiga that has economic value. In this study the samples are identified using naked eye and optical microscope to identify more clearly. After that, the comparison with catalogue is made. HCl is used to identify carbonate type minerals. The results indicate that there are classes of carbonate mineral that are calcite (CaCO3) and dolomite (CaMg (CO3)2). Oxide groups with the type of mineral are the mineral magnetite (Fe3O4), hematite (Fe2O3), magnesium (MgO) and agate (SiO2). Group with the type of mineral silica is a mineral biotite (K(Mg,Fe)3 (AlSi3)O10(OH, F)2. Result shows that Simpang Tiga have deposit of carbonate and oxide type of mineral, which are potential for economic development, building materials and industrial materials such as cement raw material and iron ore. The purpose of the present research is to study the deposit 137Cs activity on the land and the Sea of Japan and then to estimate a model of 137Cs distribution on the earth's surface of Japan. The stability of nuclei decay equation is used to obtain a deposit 137Cs activity depending on time, theoretically. The Pasquill-Gifford equation is used to estimate a distribution of 137Cs activity on the earth surface from the original source. The results suggested that Hatachinaka city, the largest measurement point, for about 60 years forward, 137Cs activity levels reach about 54 Bq. In the Sea of Japan at the point of sensor C47, which it has the largest value, the accumulation of deposit 137Cs activity gives about 0.69 Bq at the time of the next 60 years. For the distribution of 137Cs activity, the concentration values at a distance of 200 m from the original source obtained maximum for all case. The quality of water can be observed from the optical properties of water, such as clarity and refractive index. A study has been carried out by using interferometer Murty method to know the relation between turbidity and refractive index of the bottled water. The refractive index measurement was carried out for 20 samples from 10 brands of the bottled water. The result of refractive index measurement shows that the refractive index of the water is about 1,1, in averge on the other hand the refractive index of water based on literature is 1,33. Along with the refractive index measurement by using interferometer Murty, turbidity was also measured by using Turbidimeter. The result of measurement show that there is a relation between turbidity and refractive index. The deviation of refractive index values obtained in this measurement from the literature data is because there are some error in the measurement process. By improving the error, better measurement will allow the interferometer Murty to be used to inspect water clarity. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah model restricted VAR dan analisis structural VAR. Hasil uji mendapatkan bahwa konsumsi listrik, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan penduduk dapat mempengaruhi perubahan intensitas emisi gas rumah kaca. Dampak pengaruh dari penduduk terhadap emisi gas rumah kaca merupakan yang paling besar. Selain itu juga ditemukan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi dan penduduk dapat mempengaruhi besarnya konsumsi listrik, serta penduduk merupakan variabel yang dapat menentukan tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi. Shock konsumsi listrik cenderung tidak berpengaruh terhadap perubahan intensitas emisi gas rumah kaca di beberapa waktu yang akan datang, sedangkan shock pertumbuhan ekonomi dapat dirasakan pengaruhnya oleh emisi gas rumah kaca di dalam jangka pendek dan respon terhadap shock penduduk terdapat di jangka panjang. Penduduk merupakan kontributor utama dalam mempengaruhi fluktuasi perubahan intensitas emisi gas rumah kaca di masa mendatang. Peneliti menyarankan pihak Pemerintah Indonesia untuk mewujudkan penggunaan energi listrik utama yang berasal dari sumber terbarukan dan mulai mengurangi penggunaan energi bahan bakar fosil, hal ini juga bertujuan untuk mengatasi defisit APBN akibat dari subsidi input energi tersebut. Lalu tugas besar pemerintah untuk mengurangi jumlah penduduk dan menekan pertumbuhan penduduk serta berupaya meningkatkan sumberdaya manusia yang berkualitas tinggi. Data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data runtun waktu (time-series data) dari tahun 1993-2012. Model penelitian diestimasi awalnya dengan menggunakan model Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Setelah dilakukan beberapa pengujian asumsi klasik, terdapat pelanggaran uji normalitas dan terdapat fenomena time varying volatility, sehingga estimator tidak lagi bersifat BLUE (Best Linear Unbiased Estimator). Berdasarkan pertimbangan kelayakan model, signifikansi, dan keakuratan prediksi, maka model yang terbaik digunakan adalah model GARCH (Generalized Autoregresive Conditional Heteroscedasticity). Berdasarkan hasil estimasi, aglomerasi mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Banda Aceh, jumlah penduduk dan inflasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Banda Aceh.
