<text> The objectives of this research were to study effects of cutting internode numbers and urea dosages, and interaction between them on pogostemon bud cutting growth. This research was done at Kajhu Village, Baitussalam Sub District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, from February 15th to April 15th 2011. Experiment was arranged according to Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design 3 x 3, with 3 replicates. Each of replications was consisted of 3 plants, resulting 81 experimental units. The first factor was cutting internode numbers, consisted of 3 levels, i.e. 2, 3 and 4 internodes. The second factor was urea dosage, also consisted of 3 levels, i.e. 1, 2 and 3 g urea/cutting. All cuttings were planted in polybags; one cutting per polybag, filled with 5 kg of soil, with one internode was inserted into the soil. The result showed that there were highly significant interactions between cutting internode numbers and urea dosages on pogostemon cutting leaves and bud numbers at 60 days after planting, which means that cuttings with different internode numbers responded differently to urea dosage increases. The best one was cutting with 4 internode numbers and the best urea dosage was 2 g/cutting. The best combination was cutting with 2 internodes and 2 g urea/cutting. </text>

One limited information concerning the cacao cultivation technique is seedling ages and urea dosages when transplanting. The purposes of this research were to find out the effect of seedling ages, urea dosages, and interaction between them on cacao seedling growth at nursery. Research was conducted at Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty, University of Syiah Kuala. Units of treatment were arranged according to Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with 4 replicates, followed by Honestly Significant Different Test at the level of 5%. Seeds were extracted from 1/3 of cacao mature fruits at the center of the pod and germinated in germination box filled with sand and covered by wet towel. Growing medium used was top soil:manure:sand=2:1:1 (by volume). Variables observed were seedling height, stem diameter, leaf number and area, primary root length, and wet and dry mass of seedling at 45, 60 75 and 90 days after transplanting. Results showed that there were significant interactions between treatments on all variables observed. The best combination was age of 10 days of seedling and dosage of 2 g urea per polybag.</text>

As the geometry of the pulley is not so complex and the permanent mold enable us to mass produce of the pulley casting at a certain time. This research is conducted by making the design of the mold and the produce the prototype of the permanent molding in such a way so that the molding can replace the green sand casting molding to produce the same product without decreasing the quality. Research results show that permanent mold could produce pulleys as cast product faster than using the green sand mold and in certain amount of the product can cut the production cost.

<text>The theory of biological rectification originated from the study of physiological processes of the human body. Biological processes are defined by certain structures; biological rectification is achieved by biological structures too. These rectifying biological structures are the biological rectifying valves, a definition adopted from physics. An extension of this notion leads to a generalization of the rectification phenomena in biological systems. The practical value of this theoretical concept is widely presumed. Here we show that the loss of rectification may result in dysfunction or even destruction of the biological system, the rectification implies the simplification of biological processes, reduce the utilization of energy in biological systhems and in general can help in understanding the processes in the human body and biology better. We hope that experts of different scientific fields will probably confirm or disprove this hypothesis. </text>

<text>Harmonics are known as one of the causes of decline in the quality of the electrical power system, which can cause a negative impact on electronic equipment. Harmonics reduction that has been achieved with the passive filters is not quite satisfactory, thus development of active filters is required. This research proposes the use of parallel active filter design using a three-level inverter with the scheme of Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) that is used to reduce harmonics. The use of three stages Multilevel Inverter (MLI) on parallel active filter has several advantages that are lowering harmonic distortion and reducing stress switching. From the simulation results, it was obtained that three parallel active filters were capable of reducing the level of harmonic currents and voltages at the source; THDi before installation of the filter was equal to 26,16% and can be lowered to 2,42%. While THDv was reduced from 0,45% to 0,17%. Fifth-order harmonics is the most disturbing harmonic component, in which the value of IHDi beforeinstalling the filter is equal to 21,44% and reduce to 1,2% after the installation of the active filter.</text>
