Biological control begin to be selected in control of pathogens. Antagonist agent Trichoderma is known to control fungal pathogens causing plant diseases. This study looked over inhibition effects of Trichoderma sp. against pathogenic fungi; C. capsici, Fusarium sp. and S. rolfsii. This research was conducted at Laboratory of Plant Pathology Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University from April to August 2012. The study began with isolation of the pathogen obtained from chili and soybean crops infected in the field.. Pathogenic fungi isolated were Colletotrichum capsici, Fusarium sp. and Sclerotium rolfsii. Variables observed were wide and diameter colony of Trichoderma sp., diameter colony of pathogens, and the percentage of inhibition. The results showed that Trichoderma sp., had ability to inhibit the growth of pathogen Colletotrichum capsici, Fusarium sp. and Sclerotium rolfsii  in vitro. The highest percentage of inhibition of Trichoderma sp. was 68,2% against Colletotrichum capsici, followed by 53,9% against Fusarium sp., and the lowest inhibition was against Sclerotium rolfsii (35.5%). Factors studied were 1) types of organic fertilizer, consisted of 3 levels: manure, compost and green manure and 2) varieties of tomatoes, consisted of two levels: Viccario F1 and San Marino F1. Variables observed were plant height and stem diameter at ages 15, 30 and 45 days after transplanting (DAT), fruit numbers, and fruit weight for 5 times of harvest. The results showed that types of organic fertilizer exerted significant effects on plant height at age of 15 and 30 DAT, plant stem diameter at age 15 and 30 DAT, fruit numbers and fruit weight.  The best growth of tomato was on green manure.  Varieties also exerted significant effects on plant height at ages 15, 30 and 45 DAT, stem diameter at ages 30 and 45 DAT,  fruit numbers and fruit weight, but no significant effect on stem diameter at age 15 DAT. The best growth and fruit numbers wer found at Viccario, while the highest fruit weight was found at variety San Marino. There was a significant interaction between types of organic fertilizer and tomato varieties on plant height at age 45 DAT, but no significant interaction on other variables. The best plant growth was found at the combination of Viccario-manure. The method included sample extraction, fractionation, and toxicity examination of leaf extract L. camara and its active fractions against P. xylostella larvae.  The extracts were applied by residue method.  Fractionation of active compounds from extract n-hexane was conducted by a vacuum liquid chromatography by using a stationary phase of silicate gel GF254­ and mobile phase of n-hexane, etil acetate, and methanol which produced five  fractions, that is fractions A, B, C, D, and E.  Leaf extract of  L. camara and its fractions possessed an insecticidal activity  causing mortality to P. xylostella larvae. The experiment was conducted at Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agricultural Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The study took place from August to November 2010. The experiment was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with six concentration of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 ml/L solution. Each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 24 units of the experiment. Variables observed were mortality of larvae C. pavonana, formed pupa percentage, emerging imago percentage and feeding deterrent percentage. The results showed that application of leaf extract of M. charatia could control C. pavonana on mustard. The higher concentration of the leaf extract was given, the more effective control was against C. pavonana on mustard plant. The use of leaf extracts M. charantia in concentration of 20% was able to control C. pavonana up to 60%. The research was arranged in a field experiment with two treatments of soybean varieties, that is Kipas Merah and Anjasmoro.  Each treatment was repeated 20 times to obtain 40 units of the experiment. Variables measured included damage intensity of S. litura, trichome density of leaves, yield components, and resistance evaluation. The relationships between yield components and damage intensity of S. litura were analyzed with regression and correlation. The results showed that damage intensity of S. litura on Kipas Merah was lower than that on Anjasmoro. Loss of soybean yield components on both varieties was influenced by the damage intensity of S. litura. The aim of research was to evaluate concentration of Biokomplek Trico-G and Rhizobium inoculation on yield.  The experiment used a randomized complete block design 4x2 with 3 replicates. Factors evaluated were concentration of Biokomplek Trico-G, consisted of 4 levels, that is: 0, 5, 10 and 15 g/L water and Rhizobium inoculation, consisted of 2 levels, that is without inoculation and inoculation with ex-soybean soil.  Results showed that the concentration of Biokomplek Trico-G had a highly significant effect on dry weight seed per crop and dry weight seed per hectare and had a significant effect on seed diameter. The best result was concentration of Biokomplek Trico-G at 10 g/L water.  Inoculation of Rhizobium had a highly significant effect on number of productive branches and a significant effect on number of fine pods per crop but insignificant effect on seed diameter, dry weight of seed per crop and dry weight of seed per hectare. This research was carried out at Cot Cut Village, District of Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar, from September to December 2008. This research used a factorial randomized complete block design with two factors: biofertilizer (H) and manure (K).  Dosages of biofertilizer were H1= 2,8 L ha-1, H2= 3,5 L ha-1, H3= 4,2 L ha-1, and H4= 4,9 L ha-1. Dosages of manure fertilizer were K1= 2,8 ton ha-1,  K2= 5,6 ton ha-1 and K3= 8,4 ton ha-1.  The result showed that application of biofertilizer was more effective than that of manure fertilizer to percentage rates of the attacked plant. However, both biofertilizer and mature fertilizer exerted  significant effects to percentage of plant death, plant dwarf, number of larva and pupa, and dry seed weight per plant.  Application of biofertilizer at 4,9 L ha-1 and manure fertilizer at 8,4 ton ha-1 reduced  percentages of  plant death up to 86% and 83%, respectively.
