Hasil dari penelitian tentang Tari Sekapur Sirih Kecamatan Kejuruan Muda Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang ini menunjukkan bahwa Tari Sekapur Sirih telah ada sejak tahun 1960-an dengan nama tari Memakan Sirih namun beberapa tahun setelahnya, tari ini mulai pudar dan jauh dari eksistensinya kemudian tahun 2001, Tari Sekapur Sirih digarap kembali oleh Syafinh Arham S.Pdi, dengan menghubungkan dengan tarian sebelumnya dan menyatukan dengan tarian penyambutan dari tanah Melayu lainnya mengenai penyambutan tamu dengan Sekapur Sirih. Sejak tahun 2001, Tari Sekapur Sirih terlihat eksistensinya dan berkembang hingga ke tingkat Nasional sampai saat ini.tari Sekapur Sirih ditampilkan dalam Acara Adat, Penyambutan tamu, pembukaan sebuah acara, soft lounch, pesta, usaha dan lainnya. Tari Sekapur Sirih ditarikan oleh 7 penari dengan pakaian tradisional Aceh dan Melayu dan diiringi syair serta musik Melayu seperti Biola, Accordion, Gendang Melayu dan lainnya. Peroperti yang digunakan dalam Tari Sekapur Sirih yaitu Tepak ( kotak berisikan racikan sirih) dan melenggangkan gerak melayu bermaknakan pembuatan sirih dan persembahan keramahtamahan masyarakat Melayu Tamiang. The aims of this research were: to explore growth promoting endophitic bacteria isolated from root of red chilly planted at swampy land, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera, and to study the ability of resulted isolates to promote growth of red chilly by bioassay evaluation; and to evaluate the ability of resulted isolates to produce IAA in vitro. Different stage of red chilly as sources of endophitic bacteria samples were collected from various locations of chilly farms in Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatera. The results of this research proved that endophitic bacteria derived from root red chilly tissues acted as growth promoting, neutral and growth inhibiting bacteria. First, second and third of selection resulted in 8, 6, and 3 consortia of endophitic bacteria, which consistently promoted the growth of red chilly. The amount of IAA resulted by S248 isolates of endophitic bacteria (3.36 mg kg-1) as significantly lower than those of S348 isolates (4.16 mg kg-1) and S830 isolates (3.93 mg kg-1). The amount of IAA resulted by S348 isolates did not significantly differ from that of S830 isolates. Endophitic bacteria identified from S348 isolates were Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus cereus. The basic knowledge about mango resistance of trunk bore in the field and laboratory is early step to make mango resistance breeding. The result of research could be positive correlation between resistance character and commercial character. The research consisted two parts, survey of varieties of mango on field and the resistance test of trunk borer of mango on laboratory. The survey was done by characterization of mango varieties on Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh. The laboratory research was held by varieties of mango (Arumanis, Gadung, Golek, Cengkeh, Apel and Local) the test of resistance of trunk borer of mango. All treatment was assigned in Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The observation was done on characterization of mango varieties, percent of damage, damage index, insect identification and soluble solids contents. This result showed that there are six varieties of mango (Arumanis, Cengkeh, Gadung, Apel, Golek and Local (cengkir) has be found on Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Percent damage of trunk borer of mango on Aceh Besar (50-100%) and intensity of damage (10-60%). Percent damage (0-100%) and intensity of damage (0-30%) on Banda Aceh is Lower than Aceh Besar. The soluble solid contents of mature fruit of Golek, Gadung, Cengkeh and Arumanis 13.90-15.68 0brix) higher than Apel and Local (11.54 and 12.72 0brix). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di beberapa Kecamatan di Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya, dari bulan Maret sampai bulan Mei 2012. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksplorasi dengan pengambilan sampel tidak acak (non-random sampling) atau pengambilan sampel sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan, serta menurut tujuan penelitian (purposive sampling). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif serta ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel dan foto di lokasi penanaman padi. Hasil eksplorasi menunjukkan bahwa plasma nutfah tanaman padi di Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya sudah sangat langka sehingga hanya sedikit varietas lokal yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini, diantaranya varietas Psatu, varietas Teumon, varietas Aweuh Babahrot, varietas Dewi, varietas Sirendeh, varietas Aweuh Manggeng, dan dua varietas unggul nasional yaitu varietas Krueng Aceh dan varietas Citanduy. Pada pengukuran lebar benih padi, padi yang terlebar adalah varietas Citanduy dengan rata-rata 2,79 mm dan benih terkecil adalah varietas Aweuh Manggeng dengan rata-rata 2,47 mm. Sedangkan pada pengukuran panjang benih padi, benih padi terpanjang adalah varietas Krueng Aceh dengan rata-rata 9,21 mm dan padi terpendek adalah varietas Aweuh Babahrot dengan rata-rata 5,86 mm. Pada berat 100 butir benih padi, benih padi terberat adalah varietas Krueng Aceh dengan berat 2,76 gram, dan benih padi teringan adalah varietas Aweuh Babahrot dengan berat 1,53 gram. Kalista Alam di Kawasan Tripa dengan menggunakan tanaman jagung, sorgum dan kudzu sebagai tanaman perangkap. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah kasa Fakultas Pertanian. Isolasi spora FMA dan penghitungan persentase kolonisasi FMA pada akar tanaman dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Tanah dan analisis beberapa sifat kimia tanah di Laboratorium Kimia Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, sejak Agustus 2013 sampai Juli 2014.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksploratif untuk melihat jenis dan jumlah spora FMA pada perkebunan rakyat dan perkebunan swasta (PT. Kalista Alam) dengan variasi umur tanaman kelapa sawit sebagai berikut yakni: 3 bulan, 2 tahun, 7 tahun dan 10 tahun. Tiga jenis tanaman perangkap yang digunakan yakni jagung, sorgum dan kudzu. Pengamatan yang diamati meliputi jumlah spora, jenis spora dan kolonisasi FMA pada ketiga tanaman perangkap.Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kepadatan spora pada perkebunanan PT. Kalista Alam lebih tinggi (359 spora per 50 g tanah) dibandingkan dengan perkebunan rakyat (121 spora per 50 g tanah). Penggunaan tanaman perangkap jagung pada tanah perkebunan rakyat didapatkan kepadatan spora lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanaman perangkap sorgum dan kudzu, sedangkan penggunaan tanaman perangkap sorgum pada tanah perkebunan PT. Kalista Alam didapatkan kepadatan spora lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanaman perangkap jagung dan kudzu.Pada perkebunan rakyat dan PT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengeksplorasi fungi mikoriza arbuskula pada perkebunan kelapa sawit rakyat di Ultisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di rumah kasa dan Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam. Isolasi identifikasi dan pengamatan kolonisasi FMA pada akar tanaman dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala. Analisis beberapa sifat kimia tanah dilakukan di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Aceh, Banda Aceh. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Januari sampai Juni 2014.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksplorasi yang terdiri atas dua tahap percobaan. Tahap pertama eksplorasi fungi mikoriza arbuskula langsung dari sampel tanah rizosfer kelapa sawit dan tahap kedua eksplorasi fungi mikoriza arbuskula melalui kultur trapping dengan menggunakan tanaman inang jagung, sorgum dan kudzu. Pengamatan yang diamati meliputi jumlah jenis spora fungi mikoriza arbuskula sama persentase kolonisasi akar pada metode isolasi langsung dan metode kultur trapping dengan menggunakan sampel tanah pada rizosfer kelapa sawit umur 5 bulan, 5 tahun, 10 tahun dan 20 tahun.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah dan jenis spora FMA pada semua umur tanaman dari sampel tanah rizosfer kelapa sawit (5 bulan, 5 tahun, 10 tahun dan 20 tahun) lebih banyak pada kultur trapping dibandingkan dengan menggunakan isolasi langsung. Jumlah spora FMA terbanyak ditemukan pada kultur trapping terdapat pada umur 5 tahun dengan tekstur tanah lempung liat berdebu (172 spora), sedangkan pada isolasi langsung pada umur 5 bulan dengan tekstur tanah liat berdebu (11 spora). Jenis spora pada kultur trapping adalah Glomus, Acaulospora dan Gigaspora, sedangkan pada isolasi langsung adalah Glomus. Tanaman inang yang menghasilkan spora FMA terbanyak adalah sorgum, sedangkan kolonisasi FMA tertinggi dari keempat jenis tanaman inang dijumpai pada akar tanaman jagung (78%) dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Research method used to know cycle life, spreading and seed production in BNP and the done conducted stand structure with direct perception in field. Produce seed used a square method having a nest counted 10 squares by using plastic. Obtained stand structure data with model is Permanent Square for the width of 20 x 20 m of counted 15 squares and at each square measured by a diameter and high counted 10 trees. Analysis of association used contingency table, and Influence of salinity to soil used result of laboratory analysis. Conclusion from this research are (1). There are six step life cycle of A. nilotica that is seed corps, seedling, juvenile, adult, flower, and seed in pod, (3). Stand structure of A. nilotica in BNP pertained as straightened age, (4). There are three of species positive association to A. nilotica is bayapan (Brachiria reptans), rumput gunung (Oplismenus burmanii), dan rumput kawat (Dactyloctenium aegyptium), (5). The analysis of soil fertility parameter indicates that there symptom of effect treatment salinity concentration at test soil, (6). Treatment salinity concentration has an effect to organ damage A. nilotica, specially on root, bark, and leaf. Kelompok 1 (K1) diberikan pelarut streptozotocin, sedangkan kelompok 2 (K2) diberikan streptozotocin dengan dosis 40 mg/kg bobot badan dalam 50 mM natrium sitrat bufer pH 4,5 secara intraperitoneal sebanyak 0,5 ml selama 5 hari berturut-turut. Hewan percobaan dari masing-masing kelompok dieutanasia sebanyak 2 ekor pada hari ke-0, 7, 14, 21, dan 28 setelah perlakuan, selanjutnya mencit diperfusi dan dinekropsi untuk mengambil jaringan pankreas sebagai sampel pemeriksaan imunohistokimia dengan metode streptavidin peroksidase menggunakan antibodi mouse anti-insulin (1:300). Berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan analisis varian, ekspresi insulin pada sel beta Langerhans pankreas K1 lebih tinggi dibandingkan K2 (P<0,05). Waktu pengamatan dan interaksi antara kelompok dan waktu pengamatan menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (P<0,05). Induksi dosis rendah streptozotocin secara berulang dapat menurunkan jumlah ekspresi sel beta Langerhans pankreas yang imunoreaktif terhadap insulin.
