The study was carried out in Thai Nguyen city (northern Vietnam) during August – November 2011 to evaluate impacts of a VietGAP guideline on plant growth and quality of Choy Sum, one of the major vegetables in the research area. The experiment comprised two treatments, a control (local farmers’ conventional practice) and an experimental treatment (plants grown according to the VietGAP guideline). Plant samples of the latter treatment were collected for quality test at the end of the experiment. Results showed that the experimental plants had significant higher growth parameters with regards to leaf areas (7.13 dm2) and average top plant weight (3.33 kg m-2), while those of the control treatment were 5.80 dm2 and 2.77 kg m-2, respectively. Lab test results showed the experimental plant samples met the national quality standards to be certified as a clean product. The method used was prepared by field experiments using factorial randomized block design consist of two factors: AMF and animal manure with three replications. AMF consists of two standards, ie, without using the AMF and AMF 10 g hole-1 while the four-stage animal manure factor is 0, 15, 30, and 45 tons ha-1. The results showed that the best interaction to crude protein and crude fiber grass cutting age of 50 days after planting contained in the AMF treatment without a dose of 15 tons ha-1 of animal manure.  The treatment of animal manure dose of 45 tons ha-1 produced an elephant grass was higher than the treatment dose of 30 tons    ha-1, 15 tons ha-1, and without animal manure.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fungi mikoriza arbuskular (FMA) dan pupuk kandang terhadap produksi dan kualitas rumput gajah. Metode yang digunakan adalah percobaan lapangan yang disusun dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu FMA dan pupuk kandang dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan FMA terdiri dari dua taraf yaitu tanpa FMA dan menggunakan FMA 10 g lubang-1, sedangkan faktor pupuk kandang empat taraf yaitu 0, 15, 30, dan 45 ton ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi terbaik terhadap protein kasar dan serat kasar rumput gajah umur pemotongan 50 hari setelah tanam terdapat pada perlakuan tanpa FMA  dengan dosis pupuk kandang 15 ton ha-1. Perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang 45 ton ha-1 menghasilkan produksi rumput gajah lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan dosis 30 ton ha-1, 15 ton ha-1, dan tanpa pupuk kandang. Although many studies to assess the benefits of plant extracts have been conducted, however effects of dietary katuk (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr.) on growth performances, feeding behavior and water quality of grouper (Epinephelus coioides) are not well known. In this study, 25 grouper juveniles weighing 11.27 ± 2.53 g were reared into 100-L tank (60 x 50 x 35 cm) and cultivated for 70 days. The fish were divided into four groups in triplicate, and were offered diet without katuk extract (control), diet supplemented with 1% katuk extract (SAA); diet supplemented with 2.5% katuk extract (SAB) and diet supplemented with 5.0% katuk extract (SAC) twice daily. Statistical analyses showed that dietary katuk extract caused a significant (P &lt; 0.05) increase in growth rate and feed intake. The efficiency of feed was also significant when fish offered diets supplemented with 1% of katuk extract which indicated by a lower feed conversion ratio. However, no statistical differences were observed on the survival rate, condition factor, viscerosomatic index and hepatosomatic index. Observation on feeding behavior found that all treated fish consumed compounded diet just after provided into their tank and there were no abnormal behavior or any healthy problems during experimental periods. It demonstrated that application of katuk extract in fish diets is acceptable and can stimulate the fish appetites. In conclusion, our studies indicated that dietary katuk (Sauropus androgynus) extract can be applied in aquaculture to stimulate the growth and improve feed utilization.Keywords: Feed conversion ratio, feed utilization, plant extract, Sauropus androgynus. The ore mixture pulp at a relative density of 1.29 was subjected to “bead milling”  test, particle size distribution analysis  and the 55% passing 75 µm was froth floated at 180, 200 and 220 g/t dosages of sodium isobutyl xanthate (SIBX) and 30 and 80 g/t of Senfroth and Sendep 30D frother and depressant, respectively. The results obtained indicated the predominance of the <38 µm PGM values in the ore and confirmed the need for tertiary milling for better liberation of the PGMs. The grade of the PGM concentrate obtained when dosing at 200 g/t of sodium isobutyl xanthate was highest at 94 g/t and gave the lowest recovery of 53%. The 180 g/t SIBX dosage resulted in highest PGM recovery of 70% and lowest grade of 84 g/t, while dosing at 220 g/t SIBX gave average PGM grades of 90 g/t  and  recoveries of 60%.
