The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the matters related to the program of using the BOS funds, the strategy of usingthe BOS funds, and the supervision of the use ofBOS funds at Private Islamic Elementary Schools of Pidie Regency. The method used in this study was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection used were interview, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were school principals, teachers, school treasures, and school committees. The result of this study showed that: (1) The program of using BOS funds at Private Islamic Elementary Schools of Pidie Regency was designed and implemented by the school principals with involving the school treasures, the senior teachers, and the school committees. The centralistic and de-centralistic system was adopted in Islamic elementary school financial system. One kind of plant that can be extracted as a source of natural dyes and contain anthocyanin is rosella petals flower. The use of solvents and acids are the factors that determine the quality and quantity of anthocyanin that extracted from rosella petals flower. Therefore in this study will be assessed the influence of the use of appropriate solvents and acids in the process of extraction of anthocyanin from rosella petals flower. Types used are varieties rosella sabdariffa. This research was conducted using Randomized Block Design Factorial consisting of 2 factors that is the type of solvent (J) consisting of ethanol and methanol, as well as the second factor which is the type of acid (P) consisting of tartaric acid, citric acid, and acid acetate. Based on the analysis it was found that the anthocyanin pigment (in red) in rosella petals flower is more stable in the acidic conditions (low pH). Type of acid (P) gives a very significant influence (P ≤ 0.01) toward pH values and significant influence (P ≤ 0.05) toward the intensity of the color. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan penggembalaan Desa Leupon Kecamatan Blang Bintang Kabupaten Aceh Besar pada tanggal 20 Januari sampai 12 Mei 2011. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan jenis dan dosis kotoran ternak terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia tanah dan kualitas rumput Brachiaria humidicola  pada lahan penggembalaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok  (RAK) pola faktorial, yaitu faktor jenis kotoran ternak dan dosis kotoran ternak. Parameter yang diamati yaitu : (1) sifat kimia tanah  dan (2) kualitas rumput Brachiaria humidicola (Bh). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis dan dosis kotoran ternak terdapat interaksi terhadap pH H2O, P-tersedia, K-dd, KTK tanah dan C-organik tanah. Faktor tunggal jenis kotoran ternak berpengaruh terhadap P-tersedia, K-dd dan KTK tanah. Dosis kotoran ternak berpengaruh terhadap pH H2O dan KCl, C-organik, N-total, P-tersedia, K-dd dan KTK tanah. Jenis dan dosis kotoran ternak secara interaksi berpengaruh terhadap protein kasar dan serat kasar serta kadar abu. Faktor tunggal jenis kotoran ternak berpengaruh terhadap bahan kering dan serat kasar rumput Brachiaria humidicola. Dosis kotoran ternak berpengaruh terhadap protein kasar dan serat kasar serta memberikan hasil terbaik pada dosis 15 ton/ha.The Use of Animal Manure Effectivity to Improve Some Soil Chemical Properties and Quality of Brachiaria humidicola Grass on Grazing LandABSTRACT. The research was conducted on grazing land of Leupon Village in  Blang Bintang Sub District,  Aceh Besar on January 20 to May 12, 2011. This study was aimed at determining effectiveness of types and doses of  animal manure to improve soil chemical characteristics and quality of Brachiaria humidicola grass on grazing land. The experiment used a randomized complete block design (RCBD) in factorial pattern.  Factors evaluated were manure types and manure doses. Variables observed were (1) soil chemical characteristics and (2) Brachiaria humidicola grass quality. The results showed that there was significant interaction between types and doses of animal manure on  pH-H2O, available P, exchangeable K, soil CEC, and soil organic C. As a single factor, manure types exerted significant effects on available P, exchangeable K, and soil CEC. Manure doses also exerted significant effects on pH- H2O and KCl, soil organic C, total N, available P, exchangeable K,  and soil CEC. There were significant interactions between types and doses of manure on crude protein, crude fiber, and ash content. A single factor, types of animal manure exerted significant effects on dry matter and crude fiber of Brachiaria humidicola grass. Doses of animal manure also exerted significant effects on crude protein and crude fiber. The best result was chicken manure  at dose of 15 tons per ha. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of respiratory equipment models in explaining the dangers of smoking on the students. Subjects in this study were the students who smoked in the Class IX students numbering 50 people. The method used in this study is an experiment in "Pre-test and post-test." Data were analyzed with statistical t-test formula. Results of data analysis obtained t = 13.1 (α = 0.05; db = 49) obtained t table price = 2.01, which is well known t> t table. Thus, it can be concluded that the knowledge given to students about the dangers of cigarettes and content by using the modeling tools can improve students' knowledge of Class IX SMP Negeri 13 Banda Aceh on the respiratory system and knowledge about the dangers of cigarettes. Research was conducted from June to September 2009. This research used 2 locations sampling which consist the tub before processing (inlet) and after processing (outlet), then data taken in 10 repetition consecutive days. The observed parameter ware phenol content and parameter like pH, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) dan TSS (Total Suspendid Solid) content. Data were analyzed by using paired t test (P<0,05). The result show that fenol content were significant different before and after the processing. Phenol content decreased from 32% to 96.4%. Phenol content (0.020 mg/L) outlet had fulfilled the quality standard already established. These refer as judged effective values the pH parameters show that there were increasing. The result also show that not only phenol content decrease but also BOD, COD and TSS content. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 20 ekor tikus Wistar jantan yang dibagi secara acak dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok I merupakan kontrol negatif, kelompok II kontrol positif, kelompok III diberi PGV-0 40 mg/kg BB selama 15 minggu, dan kelompok IV diberi PGV-0 40 mg/kg BB selama 25 minggu. Pemberian PGV-0 dilakukan secara oral dua kali seminggu. Induksi kanker kolon dilakukan dengan cara injeksi subkutan DMH 60 mg/kg BB, satu kali seminggu selama 15 minggu. Pada minggu ke-26, semua hewan coba dieutanasia, kolon difiksasi dalam formalin 10% untuk selanjutnya diamati perubahan makroskopik dan mikroskopik. Penilaian ekspresi COX-2 dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Duke’s stage dan skor imunoreaktivitas (IRS). Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan pemberian PGV-0 selama 25 minggu menurunkan jumlah nodul kanker kolon dari 5 ke 2 (berkurang 60%); diameter kanker kolon (pxl) dari 0,712 mm² ke 0,0043 mm² (berkurang 99,31%). Pemberian PGV-0 selama 15 minggu hanya menurunkan jumlah nodul 10% dan area kanker kolon dari 0,712 mm² ke 0,0062 mm² (99,07%). Skor imunoreaktivitas COX-2 diekspresikan oleh kelompok III dan IV adalah 4 dan 5. Gambaran histologis dari kolon mendukung hasil di atas. Pemberian PGV-0 efektif menurunkan jumlah dan area nodul kanker kolon melalui penghambatan ekspresi COX-2.
