                <text>Water quality research has been done along Krueng Daroy in Banda Aceh. The research is aimed to observe water quality based on physical parameters and to identify the sources of pollutant spatially. We measured temperature, turbidity, color, pH, odor, TDS and electrical conductivity, where the data were collected using thermometer, turbidity meter, spectrophotometer, pH meter, TDS meter and conductivity meter, respectively. The physical parameters of water in the upstream area fulfilled the standard of the Health Minister of Republic Indonesia according to law Number 907/ MENKES/ SK/VII/2002 and it is suitable for household needs. However, the water at the downstream area are mostly polluted</text>

                <text>AbsractThis qualitative study was to develop realistic mathematical learning device that aims to improve the spatial geometry reasoning for Arun Lhokseumawe Junior High School students of class VIII-1 which consists of 28 students, which was implemented in April 2013. This study begins by developing learning tools that Lesson Plan (RPP), student activity sheet (LKS), Teacher Book (BG), Test Results study (THB). Once validated by the validator and otherwise well, then learning devices tested, in order to obtain the ability of the teacher to manage learning good or very good, qualified learning outcomes test validity, reliability, and sensitivity. Activities for students to learn effectively, individually complete mastery learning is above 65%, in the classical unmet mastery learning is above 85%, and student response above 80% (positive).Keywords: realistic mathematical learning, spatial geometry, and mastery learning</text>

                <text>Abstract: The empowerment of production unit is a business activity process at school which is profit oriented, conducted by school community by empowering human resource in the school and professionally managed. This study aimed to find out program, implementation, obstacles, and supporting factor in production unit empowerment. This study used descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis used were data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and data verification. Subjects of the study were principal, vice principal, head of production unit, head of production sub-unit, school supervisors, school committee and teachers. The results of the study showed that: 1) Programs were formulated based on analysis that included human resource, facility, finance, market aspect, and other considerations that involved all personnel through discussion at the end of each school year. Production units run were V Mart and Graphic business. 2) The implementation of the empowerment program involved human resource from the school and outside of the school. Source of funds used was funds from school. State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 of Banda Aceh established cooperation with SMKN 2 of Banda Aceh in printing of answer and question sheet and other printing forms. In V-Mart business, SMKN 1 of Banda Aceh established cooperation with some suppliers of goods and school cooperative enterprise both with SMKN 2 of Banda Aceh and SMKN 3 of Banda Aceh for stationeries and other household goods for members of the school cooperation. 3) Supporting factors of the empowerment of production unit were adequate human resource and facility, support from related parties, and good market aspects. Inhibiting factors were limited time, no maximal cooperation with external parties, no effective marketing techniques, and no clear mapping of the target market to external parties.Keywords: Vocational High School Empowerment, Production Unit, and Strategic Management Abstrak: Pemberdayaan unit produksi merupakan proses kegiatan usaha sekolah dan bersifat bisnis (profit oriented) dan dapat dilakukan melalui manajemen stratejik untuk memberdayakan sumber daya sekolah secara profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program, pelaksanaan, hambatan dan pendukung pemberdayaan unit produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu mereduksi, display, mengambil kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, ketua unit produksi, ketua sub unit produksi, pengawas, komite dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Program dirumuskan berdasarkan analisis yang meliputi SDM, fasilitas, keuangan, aspek pasar dan beberapa pertimbangan lainya dengan melibatkan semua personil melalui musyawarah pada setiap akhir tahun ajaran. Unit produksi yang dijalankan yaitu V Mart dan Usaha Grafika. 2) Pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan diawali dengan pengorganisasian yang melibatkan SDM dari dalam sekolah dan dari luar sekolah. Sumber biaya yang dipakai adalah dana dari sekolah. Kerjasama dilakukan dengan SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh berupa percetakan lembaran soal dan lembaran jawaban serta percetakan lainnya. Sementara untuk usaha V Mart dengan beberapa pemasok barang dan koperasi sekolah baik SMKN 2 Banda Aceh dan SMKN 3 Banda Aceh untuk kebutuhan barang ATK dan kebutuhan rumah tangga lainya bagi anggota koperasi. 3) Faktor pendukung pemberdayaan unit produksi adalah adanya dukungan SDM dan fasilitas yang memadai, dukungan pihak terkait dan memilki aspek pasar yang sangat bagus. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah waktu sangat terbatas, fasilitas khusus untuk bidang usaha grafika, permodalan yang minim, kerjasama dengan pihak eksternal belum maksimal, teknik pemasaran yang belum efektif, belum adanya pemetaan target pasar yang jelas kepada pihak eksternal.Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan SMK, Unit Produksi dan Manajemen Stratejik</text>

                <text>Abstract: This study aims to determine the understanding, implementation, and constraints faced by the teacher of Vocational High School State 1 Lhokseumawe in the implementation of the educational unit level curriculum. To achieve these objectives, this study uses descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The procedure of data analysis is data reduction, data display, and verification. While the subject of research is the principal, vice principal areas of curriculum and instruction, and teacher. The results showed that:(1) Teacher’s understanding of the educational unit level curriculum has been positive and keep up with the needs of learners with attention to the weaknesses of the development of science, technology, and art as a whole and sustainable; (2) Implementation of educational unit level curriculum is done by adjusting the curriculum with lesson plans grains so that the delivery of teaching materials has alignment with the time and abilities of students; and (3) Constraints teachers in the implementation of educational unit level curriculum, among others: (a) lack of educational facilities and infrastructure that support the application for the establishment of educational unit level curriculum perfectly, (b) lack of awareness of the teacher in preparing learning materials before the learning takes place, (c) the lack of allocation of time in learning process, and (d) the lack of teacher supervision in controlling the achievement of student learning outcomes in the classroom and in the school environment development.Keywords: Professionalism, Teacher, and Educational Unit Level Curriculum.Abstrak: Peneli­tian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman, implementasi, dan kendala yang dihadapi guru SMK Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe dalam implementasi KTSP. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum dan pengajaran, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pemahaman guru terhadap KTSP sudah positif dan mengikuti perkembangan serta kebutuhan peserta didik dengan memperhatikan sisi kelemahan terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni secara menyeluruh dan berkesinambungan; (2) Implementasi KTSP dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan butir kurikulum dengan rencana pengajaran sehingga penyampaian materi ajar memiliki keselarasan dengan waktu dan kemampuan siswa; dan (3) Kendala guru dalam implementasi KTSP antara lain: (a) kurangnya sarana dan prasarana pendidikan yang mendukung untuk terwujudnya penerapan KTSP dengan sempurna, (b) kurangnya kesadaran guru dalam mempersiapkan materi pembelajaran sebelum pembelajaran berlangsung, (c) kurangnya pengalokasian waktu dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (d) kurangnya pengawasan guru dalam mengontrol hasil pencapaian prestasi belajar siswa di kelas dan perkembangannya di lingkungan sekolah.Kata kunci : Profesionalisme, Guru, dan KTSP</text>

                <text>The purpose of this study was to determine the yield, chemical compositions, amino acids, minerals, and heavy metal residues (Pb, Hg) of fresh and boiled mussel. Amino acid was analyzed usingHPLC, minerals and heavy metals were examined using AAS and phosphorus by spectrophotometer, fatty acids by GC, and cholesterol by Liebermann-Buchard. The results showed that the chemical composition of water content, ash, protein and lipid of mussels meat were decreased about 6.09%, 2.25%, 1.39%, 0.42%, respectively after boiled while carbohydrate was increased 4.07% and the amino acids were decreased after boiling. The Ca, Mg, K, P, Na, Cu were declined after boiled, while Co, Fe, Mn and Zn were incraseed. In addition, the Pb was decreased after boiled while Hg and Se were not detected in both fresh and boiled mussel meat. SAFA fatty acids was 38.71% (fresh) and 37.31% (boiled), MUFA 8.13% (fresh) and 8.02% (boiled), PUFA 10.31% (fresh) and 8.77% (boiled), and the cholesterol contents were 102.57 mg/100 g of fresh and 100.97mg/100 g for boiled mussel meat.</text>

                <text>Catfish is playing an important role in aquaculture production; it is one of the primary commodities of inlandfisheries industry. Catfish meat has a yield of 49% and resulted in 51% of waste products. Thus catfish waste product has potency as source of fish oil which riches of omega-3. The Purpose of this study was to evaluate the suitable extaction method to obtain the high quality of fish oil from catfish skin. Based on the oxidative quality analysis data obtained extraction temperature of 60°C gives the best quality of fish oil with parameters such as peroxide value, free fatty acid, p-anisidine value, acid value and total oxidation of 38 meq/kg, 0.45%, 107,5 meq/kg, 895 mg KOH/kg and 187.5, respectively. The best yield was 18.75% which was obtained at extraction temperature of 75 °C. It was concluded that best extraction at 60°C, for 30 minutes, with solvent and sample ratio 1:1.</text>

                <text>Bottled water is clean water ready to drink quickly without cooking however, it is not all of the bottled water have a good quality. The quality of water can be observed from the optical properties of water, such as clarity and refractive index. A study has been carried out by using interferometer Murty method to know the relation between turbidity and refractive index of the bottled water. The refractive index measurement was carried out for 20 samples from 10 brands of the bottled water. The result of refractive index measurement shows that the refractive index of the water is about 1,1, in averge on the other hand the refractive index of water based on literature is 1,33. Along with the refractive index measurement by using interferometer Murty, turbidity was also measured by using Turbidimeter. The result of measurement show that there is a relation between turbidity and refractive index. The deviation of refractive index values obtained in this measurement from the literature data is because there are some error in the measurement process. By improving the error, better measurement will allow the interferometer Murty to be used to inspect water clarity.</text>

                <text>Abstract: The management curriculum is a very important factor for any educational institution to support the success of the educational program. This research aims to study, observe and describe the curriculum management FKIP Unsyiah Sendratasik Education, include: 1) The process of curriculum planning; 2) Implementation of the curriculum; and 3) Evaluation of the curriculum. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. Subjects in this study maids Dean, Chairman and Secretary Prodi Sendratasik, lecturers and students. The results showed that the management education curriculum Prodi Sendratasik include: 1) The Curriculum education Sendratasik Unsyiah was referring to the Malang University Sendratasik Curriculum. The curriculum planning process, conducted according to the provisions and regulations of the department of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UNSYIAH. 2) The implementation of the entire learning program based on the vision, mission, and goals are already running but has not yet been fullest. Implementation of the curriculum include: lesson planning, lesson implementation, and evaluation of learning, has been running well and all the activities run in accordance with the academic calendar, but it still faces various problems due to infrastructure inadequate.3) Evaluation of the curriculum is done every end of the semester, the curriculum revision is done periodically when needed. Education study program curriculum Sendratasik imposed four curriculum structure that is not in accordance with the nomenclature of Higher Education, is considered less effective relevance to junior high / high school curriculum as well as the application of the four structures are not supported by adequate human resources.Keywords: Management Curriculum and Arts Education CurriculumAbstrak: Manajemen kurikulum merupakan faktor yang sangat penting bagi setiap institusi pendidikan guna mendukung keberhasilan Program pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji, mengamati dan mendeskripsikan manajemen kurikulum program studi Pendidikan Sendratasik FKIP Unsyiah, meliputi: 1) Proses perencanaan kurikulum; 2) Implementasi kurikulum; dan 3) Evaluasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini pembantu Dekan I, Ketua dan Sekretaris Prodi Sendratasik, dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik meliputi: 1) kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik Unsyiah merujuk pada kurikulum Sendratasik Universitas Malang, prosesnya dilaksanakan sesuai ketentuan prodi dan ketentuan dari Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Syiah Kuala. 2) Implementasi kurikulum yang meliputi: Pelaksanaan seluruh Program pembelajaran berdasarkan visi, misi dan tujuan, sudah berjalan namun belum maksimal, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran, sudah berjalan dengan baik dan segala kegiatan berjalan sesuai dengan kalender akademik, namun masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dikarenakan sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai. 3) Evaluasi kurikulum yang dilakukan setiap berakhir semester, revisi kurikulum yang dilakukan secara berkala apabila dibutuhkan. kurikulum prodi Pendidikan Sendratasik memberlakukan empat struktur kurikulum yang tidak sesuai dengan nomenklatur Dikti, dianggap kurang efektif relevansinya dengan SMP/SMA serta penerapan empat struktur kurikulum tidak ditunjang SDM yang memadai.Kata Kunci : Manajemen Kurikulum dan Kurikulum Pendidikan Seni</text>

                <text>teacher performance improvemens in the implementation of strategic management, strategy and principals in improving teacher performance. To achieve these objectives, this study uses descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The procedure of data analysis is data reduction, data display, and verification. While the subject of research is principals, vice-principals, and teachers. The results showed that:(1) The procedure improved performance carried out in accordance with the teachers' work rules in Aceh; (2) Improving the teachers performance in the implementation of strategic management is done in stages and follow the development of the situation as desired by the state management and time; and (3) The principal obstacle in the performance improvement teacher strategy include not involve efforts aimed at transforming strategic objectives into action in the form of the organization of the school program, so that the form of the implementation of educational programs take place with less supervision.Keywords: Strategic Management, and Teacher Performance.Abstrak: Peneli­tian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur peningkatan kinerja guru, peningkatan kinerja guru dalam implementasi manajemen strategik, dan strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah ketua komite sekolah, kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Prosedur peningkatan kinerja guru dilakukan sesuai dengan aturan kerja sebagaimana tercantum dalam aturan pengelolaan pendidikan; (2) Peningkatan kinerja guru dalam implementasi manajemen strategik dilakukan secara bertahap dan mengikuti situasi perkembangan manajemen sebagaimana diinginkan oleh keadaan dan waktu; dan (3) Hambatan kepala sekolah dalam strategi peningkatan kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 3 Lhokseumawe antara lain kurang melibatkan upaya-upaya yang bertujuan mentransformasi tujuan strategik ke dalam aksi dalam bentuk penyelenggaraan program sekolah, sehingga bentuk pelaksaan program pendidikan berlangsung secara dengan kurang pengawasan.Kata kunci : Manajemen Stratejik, dan Kinerja Guru</text>
