Namun dalam praktiknya pelaku usaha tidak beriktikad baik yang dalam hal ini yang memperdagangkan barang elektronik yang tidak mencantumkan label SNI dan merugikan konsumen yang menggunakan barang tersebut.Tujuan penulisan skripsi ini untuk menjelaskan yang menggunakan barang yang tidak mencantumkan label, untuk menjelaskan mengenai penyelesaian ganti kerugian terhadap konsumen barang yang tidak mencantumkan label SNI dan untuk menjelaskan mengenai upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah jika pelaku usaha tidak mencantumkan label SNI.Untuk memperoleh data dalam penulisan skripsi ini, dilakukan penelitian kepustakaan dan lapangan. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data primer yang berhubungan dengan penelitian ini melalui wawancara dengan responden.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pelaksanaan perlindungan Konsumen belum berjalan dengan sesuai yang diharapkan karena pelaku usaha yang masih memperdagangkan barang elektronik yang tidak mencantumkan label SNI akibat sanksi yang di berlakukan oleh Pemerintah kurang tegas. Ganti kerugian terhadap konsumen yang di tangani oleh YaPKA dan Disperindag belum terealisasi dengan baik karena hanya bersifat mediasi dengan menggantikan barang yang baru dengan produk yang sama bukan dengan barang yang berlabel SNI. Upaya hukum yang dilakukan oleh Disperindag adalah melakukan pengawasan pasar.Disarankan kepada produsen atau pelaku usaha untuk mengurus sertifikat dan label SNI pada barang elektronik yang diperdagangkan. Audit commitee characteristics that used in this study are audit commitee independence, size of audit committee, the number of audit committee meetings, financial/accounting expertise audit committee. and audit committee gender. The samples of this research are the manufacturing firms listed in BEI (Indonesia Stock Exchange) in 2009 -2011. The Samples are collected using purposive sampling method and resulted 27 companies become the final samples. Data of audit committee were collected from annual report, then data analyzed by multiple regression analysis.The results of this research show that (1) audit commitee independence, size of audit committee, the number of audit committee meetings, financial/accounting expertise audit committee. and audit committee gender silmutaneously have influence for earnings management, (2) independence of the audit committee has no influence for earnings management, (3) size of audit committee has negative influence for earnings management, (4) the number of audit committee meetings has no influence for earnings management, (5) financial/accounting expertise audit committee has positive influence for earnings management, and (6) audit committee gender has no influence for earnings management.Keywords: Audit Committee, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings ManagementABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh karakteristik komite audit, baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial, terhadap manajemen laba dengan menggunakan discretionary accruals sebagai proksi dari manajemen laba. Karakteristik komite audit yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah independensi komite audit, ukuran komite audit, jumlah pertemuan komite audit, financial/accounting expertise komite audit, dan jenis kelamin komite audit.Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI (Bursa Efek Indonesia) dari tahun 2009 sampai 2011. Sampel dikumpulkan berdasarkan pada metode purposive sampling dan menghasilkan 27 perusahaan sebagai sampel akhir. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah studi korelasi (correlation study). Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 60 karyawan dengan menggunakan metode probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling dan menggunakan rumus slovin. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung kepada responden. Data yang terkumpul berasal dari 60 karyawan pada PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Aceh. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan analisis regresi berganda (multiple regression analysis) untuk menguji pengaruh pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan pengendalian internal terhadap kinerja individual pada PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Aceh.
