In order to select the most appropriate herbicide or devise the optimum weed control system, one must be able or properly identify the weed present within a field. Research was aimed to find out influence of mixture two herbicide, with under herbicide dosage to weed and yield of soybean. Field experiment was conducted on Inceptisol from February 2006 until May 2006 at station research Agriculture Faculty Padjajaran University, 700 m above sea level. The factorial experiment was carried out in randomized complete block design with two replications. The first factors-metolachlor (doses of herbicide a.i. 0,0; 0,75; 1,50; and 2,25 kg ha-1). Application showed that herbicide metolachlor and pendimethalin had single or mixture on the studied gave higher percentage of weeds covered, and weed dry matter were lower comparison. The mixture metolachlor and pendimethalin can increased dry of yield compared to herbicide single application.</text>

<text>            This study was aimed at obtaining an effective dose and application timing of Trichoderma in controlling wilt disease caused by Sclerotium on soybean. This study used a factorial complete ramdomized design with 8 combination of treatments and 4 replications. There were two factors studied, dose and timing of Trichoderma. Four level doses factor were studied, i.e. 75, 150, 225, and 300 g.polybag-1, while timing of application consisted of 2 levels, 7 days before planting and at the planting time. The observed variables were germination rate, incubation period, length of lesion formed on the base of the stem, and dry weight of seeds per plant. Data of variables observed was analized by analysis of variance and followed by least significance different test at level 5%.  The results showed that dose of Trichoderma gave a significant effect on seed germination rate, incubation period, length of lesion and dry weight of seed per plant. Dose of Trichoderma 300 g.polibag-1 was the best and gave  germination rate of seed up to 84,38%, incubation period 8 days, length of lesion 1,35 cm and dry weight of seed 24,13 g. The timing of application gave a significant effect only on dry weight of seed per plant.  The best timing of application was found at 7days before planting and no interaction between doses and time of application of Trichoderma.</text>

Concentrations of garlic extract tested were 2 percent, 4 percent, 6 percent, 8 percent, 10 percent, and 12 percent. The results showed that garlic extracts were potential as plant-based insecticide, indicated by a positive effect of garlic extract on S. zeamais mortality, the average time of S. zeamais death, the maize kernel damage and the number of S. zeamais progeny. Concentration of 12 percent gave the highest mortality rate of S. zeamais, the fastest average time of S. zeamais death, the lowest maize kernel damage and the lowest number of S. zeamais progeny, while the concentration of 2 percent gave the lowest mortality rate of  S. zeamais, the longest average time of S. zeamais death, the highest percentage of kernel damage, and the highest number of S. zeamais progeny.  </text>

<text>The Effectiveness of Great Morinda Extract toMortality of Plutella Xylostella L. on Green Mustard  Hasnah dan Nasril Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah, Darussalam Banda Aceh ABSTRACT One of the pests frequently attacking mustard greens is Plutella xylostella. Resulted damage can be up to 58-100% if control is not immediately done, especially in the dry season. The objective of this research was to obtain a effective concentration of great morinda extracts for controlling P. xylostella on mustard green. This research was conducted in Experimental Farm and Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases Department at the Faculty of Agriculture Unsyiah Darussalam Banda Aceh.  The results showed that application of great morinda was effective to control P. xylostella. Mortality of 100% larva was recorded at 3 days after application of  great morinda extract in the concentration of 150ml L-1 solution and this was equivalent to 1 ml L-1  of methrin delta solution, and that the percentage of pupa and imago was 0%. The intensity of damage to plant leaf of mustard greens was only 15.47% in the application of 150 ml L-1 of great morinda. It can be concluded that the concentration of 150ml L-1 solution of great morinda fruit extracts was effective for controlling P. xylostella and that was equivalent to 1 ml L-1  of methrin delta solution. </text>

<text>Effectiveness of Neem Extract in Controlling Armyworm (Spodoptera Litura F.) in  Lettuce Alfian Rusdy Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah, Darussalam Banda Aceh ABSTRACT  Research objectives were to evaluate effectiveness of seed and leaf neem extracts at various concentrations in controlling armyworm in lettuce. Experimental design used was factorial completely randomized design, consisting of eight combinations of treatment with three replications. Factors examined were firstly neem extract of seed and leaf and secondly concentration of the neem extracts, which consists of four levels for each of the 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%.  Variables observed were mortality, percentage of pupa, percentage of imago, and intensity of damaged plants.   Results showed that use of seed and leaf extracts of neem plant can control armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) in lettuce plants. Seed extract was more toxic than leaf extract of neem. The most effective concentration was 20 cc/100 ml solution (20%), followed by 15 cc (15%), 10 cc (10%), and 5 cc (5%).  </text>

<text>ABSTRACT. Crocidolomia pavonana F. is an important pest on mustards. Damage caused by this pest could be 100 percent if not controlled. Objective of the research was to find an effective concentration of garlic extract to control C. pavonana F. The research was the conducted at Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Treatments were arranged by Completely Randomized Block Design (CRD) non factorial with 7 level concentrations based on LC50 of 20.69 ml L-1 or 20.69 percent. The concentrations of treatment were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 ml L-1 of water. The treatment was replication four times. The result showed that the garlic extracts were effective to control C. pavonana. Observation on larva mortality was carried out until the end of larva period of 3 day after application</text>
