Actually, the potential and deposite are rich and spread in many place, but the process from raw material to pig iron product is not optimal yet. The iron sands is one of local mineral that could be obtained for increasing added value. Motivated by this, in this work, the manufacture of iron sand was done using direct reduction technique by compact coals as reductor. The carbon compound of coals were using for releasing oxide in magnetite compounds (Fe3O4) of iron sand, so it could be transformed to Fe phase. The Iron sand was milled using Planetary Ball Mill (Fritsch, P6) for 0, 10, 20, and 40 hours. Then the iron sands samples were mixed with coals and bentonite and compacted using hydrolic press at 8 ton pressure. Samples were loaded into furnace and sintered 900 oC temperature. As the results, it was identified (using XRF) that the major phase was 75,40% of Fe2O3. Consistent with XRF results, the phase composition observation by using XRD was shown that the major phase of sample was Fe2O3 (hematite). Mechanical alloying technique was also shown that the crystallite size of the sample was around 34 nm, as calcultaed using Scherrer formula. In this sample, Fe phase has been formed at 2?= 44,4334 o, d= 2,03771 ?, as it was shown at crystal field (1 1 0) as Fe phase. The morfology structure was refered using SEM showed that homogen orientation. The magnetic behavior investigation was showed that the decreasing in magnetic saturation value (Ms) and remanent (Br) and followed by increasing the coercivity value (Hc). Hence, this investigation evaluates the antidepressant effect of selected crude extracts in the forced swimming test (FST) and tail suspension test (TST), two models predictive of antidepressant activity. The acute treatment of mice with extracts by intra-peritoneal (i.p.) route significantly reduced the immobility time in the FST (50 and 100 mg/kg) and TST (50 and 100 mg/kg), as compared to positive controls (haloperidol and fluoxetine) at 1 and 10 mg/kg, respectively. On the third day of experiment, a significant decrease of mobility was observed for chloroform extract (CE I) and butanol extract (BE II) compared to first day. CE I and BE II led to reduction of immobility time, as the selected extracts with two doses administered were different compared to the control, in the FST method by 65.37% and53.92% for 100 mg/kg, respectively. However, CE I showed the best result compared to our positive controls. Similar results of increased antidepressant effect, that was, of immobility time depending on the concentration administered, were obtained with the TST method. Also our data showed that there was no significant differences between doses (50 and 100 mg/kg). The results suggested that the antidepressant action of the butanol extract and of U. dioica its fraction (BE II2) was mediated by an interaction with 5-hydroxytrptamine (5-HT). U. dioica showed a potential source for the isolation of important natural products with antidepressant-like properties. The process of rainfall retention above the canopy of vegetation is known as interception. This study aimed to measure interception, throughfall, and stemflow on pine trees (Casuarina cunninghamia) at different ages 7, 15 and 30 years old, respectively. This research was conducted in the area of Taman Hutan Raya, Seulawah, Aceh Besar. Materials and tools used in this study were an automatic raingauge, measuring cups, measuring tape, clinometer, and Microsoft Excel software. Based on the research, the results showed that the age of the tree had significantly influenced the throughfall and stemflow. The tree’s diameter had significant influence on the large amount of throughfall and stemflow. The tree’s age greatly affected the density of tree canopy. The more dense the tree canopy, then the greater interception the tree had. The pine needle-shaped leaves densely grew that influenced the interception. The method in this research consisted of field observation, collecting data and map, testing model, and analyzing data. Some parameters were used as the inputs on the model, such as: maximum storage, actual groundwater storage, soil moisture, and the constant of soil moisture k(t). The aggregation hydrology model was tested using 3 (three) statistical parameters, such as; determination coefficient (R2), biased percentage (PBIAS), and Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient (ENS). The result showed that the minimum runoff occured in 1998 was 70.22 mm and the maximum runoff occurred in 1987 was 759.12 mm. Yaitu meningkat dari siklus I, siklus II dan siklus III, yaitu pada siklus I ada 19 siswa yang tuntas dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 51,35%, pada siklus II ada 30 siswa yang tuntas dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 81,08%, dan pada siklus III ada 36 siswa yang tuntas dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 97,29%.
