                <text>ABSTRAKKatakunci :Penerapan, Model Pembelajaran Quantum Learning, Hasil Belajar.Pada proses belajar mengajar guru mengupayakan cara-cara untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi, tetapi masih ada siswa yang mengalami kendala-kendala dalam proses belajar mengajar tersebut. Model Quantum Learning merupakan salah satu strategi yang digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian adalah Apakah penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi siswa, dan bagaimana keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran serta bagaimana respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Quantum Learning. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar geografi siswa dengan penerapan model Quantum Learning, untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan respon siswa terhadap model  pembelajaran Quantum Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-2 SMA Negeri 1 Samadua yang berjumlah 19 orang dan objek penelitian ini adalahpenerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan rumus statistik deskriptif, P=F/Nx100%.Untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan lembar respon siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahawa terdapat peningkatan prestasi setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pretest dan postest. Pada siklus I secara klasikal telah tuntas 60%dari10 soalterdapat 6 soal yang tuntas,. Secara individual tuntas sebesar 68,42 %  atau dari 19 siswa, hanya 6 orang siswa yang tidak tuntas. Pada siklus II secara klasikal sudah tuntas sebesar 90% dari 10 soal tes hanya 1 soal yang belum tuntas. Secara individual tuntas sebesar 94,73 % atau dari 19 siswa hanya 1 siswa yang belum tuntas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran model Quantum Learning pada materi Hidrosfer dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.</text>

                <text>This study aimed to determine the relationship between the method of delivery and the incidence of overweight or obesity during childhood. This study was conducted on June 2012 to March 2013 in four selected elementary schools in Iligan City, Philippines wherein 96 overweight to obese children between 5-8 years old were selected as respondents through purposive sampling technique. A descriptive-correlational research design was used. To gather the pertinent data and information, a researcher-made questionnaire was employed. The data gathered were then tabulated and analyzed using frequency and percentage distribution, Chi-square test and Spearman correlation coefficient. It was found out that there is no sufficient evidence to harbor a significant relationship between the method of delivery and the incidence of childhood overweight or obesity among the respondents. Thus, other factors should be explored to relate to overweight or obesity in childhood</text>

                <text>This study primarily aimed to compare the incidence of asthma between breastfed and bottle-fed children. And to determine if the demographic characteristics such as age, sex, ordinal position in the family and familial history of asthma affect the incidence of asthma as well. This study used Comparative-Survey Design through self-structured questionnaire given to the parents of the respondents who were the 3-7 year-old asthmatic children, selected through purposive sampling technique. The data gathered were thentabulated and analyzed using Chi-Square Method of Association. It was found out that most of the asthmatic respondents were between 5-7 years old which showed a high association between the age and the incidence of asthma. It implies that as the age increases, the incidence of asthma also increases. Results also showed that males are more likely to have high incidence of asthma than females. The incidence of asthma is likewise higher in eldest respondents than the middle or youngest. Moreover, there is a significant relationship between the familial history of asthma and its incidence. And finally, the feeding status of the respondents whether breastfed or bottle-fed during the first 6 months of life affects the incidence of asthma as the incidence is higher in bottle-fed than in breastfed respondents</text>

                <text>This study determined if parental bonding styles affect the development of emotional intelligence of student nurses. A descriptive-correlational research design was used. The Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) developed by Parker et.al. (1979) was utilized to determine the bonding styles of the respondents’ parents interpreted as Neglectful Parenting, Affectionless Control, Optimal Parenting and Affectionate Control. The Emotional Intelligence (EI) questionnaire adapted from Weisinger’s EQ test instrument (1998) was also employed to measure the respondents’ EI in terms of self-awareness, selfregulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. To analyze the data gathered, Frequency and Percentage distribution, Chi-Square Test, and Pearson Correlational Coefficient were utilized. Results show that majority of the respondents perceived their fathers to have Affectionless Control parenting which corresponds to high protection and low care and their mothers to have Neglectful Parenting which corresponds to low care and low protection. It was found out that the parental bonding style of the respondents’ fathers has an effect only to their level of motivation and empathy. On the other hand, theparental bonding style of the respondents’ mothers affects the respondents’ EI as to self-awareness, selfregulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. Despite poor parenting, most of the respondents have moderately high to high level of EI which implies that there could be other factors that may contribute tothe development of a student nurse’s EI other than parental bonding style</text>

                <text>ABSTRAKRuas Jalan Diponegoro Kota Banda Aceh merupakan salah satu ruas jalan yang cukup padat. Hal ini dikarenakan ruas jalan tersebut berada di kawasan perkotaan yang mengakibatkan banyaknya aktivitas di badan jalan seperti pejalan kaki, kendaraan berhenti, dan parkir, kendaraan lambat dan kendaraan keluar masuk dari sisi jalan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh hambatan samping terhadap karakteristik arus lalu lintas yang ditinjau dari nilai kecepatan, volume dan kepadatan. Selain hal tersebut penelitian ini juga untuk mengetahui kondisi kapasitas dan derajat kejenuhan di ruas jalan Diponegoro. Lokasi penelitian ini sepanjang jalan Diponegoro. Untuk menganalisa hambatan samping, karakteristik lalu lintas dan kapasitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode MKJI 1997. Hasil pengolahan data diperoleh untuk volume tertinggi saat jam puncak ketika hambatan samping banyak terjadi pada hari Minggu pukul 12.00-13.00 WIB sebesar 503,4 smp/jam, kecepatan tempuh sebesar 11,88 km/jam, kapasitas sebesar 1410,8 smp/jam dan derajat kejenuhan 0,746. Dengan merencanakan skenario I penghilangan faktor hambatan samping berupa pejalan kaki/penyeberang dapat menurunkan hambatan samping sebesar 355,4 smp/jam serta meningkatkan kapasitas menjadi 1455,3 smp/jam, meningkatkan kecepatan arus bebas menjadi 50,6 km/jam. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja ruas jalan Diponegoro  mempunyai masalah yang dapat menimbulkan kemacetan, dimana nilai derajat kejenuhan 0,746 dimana niai tersebut mendekati nilai batas yang digunakan oleh MKJI yaitu 0,75 namun memiliki nilai kecepatan tempuh yang rendah, hal ini disebabkan oleh parkir pada badan jalan dan dekatnya lokasi penelitian dengan persimpangan sehingga menyebabkan penurunan kecepatan kendaraan pada saat akan memasuki simpang, solusi mengatur sistem perpakiran dengan dibuatkan gedung parkir dan mengedukasikan agar tidak menggunakan badan jalan dan tidak menganggu pergerakan arus lalu-lintas.Kata kunci: hambatan samping, parkir pada badan jalan, kapasitas jalan.</text>

                <text>In an effort to improve methane gas production rate from cattle slurry; ethylene diamine- N, N-diacetic acid chelating ligand was introduced into the digester system. Experimental analysis involving the determination of trace metals, pH and methane gas yield, were carried out with the use of the Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer and Biogas5000 analyser. The results showed that there was an increase in the pH of the system; the amount of methane gas yield equally increased by 12% and the Hydraulic Retention Time decreased from 50 days to 25 days on addition of ethylene diamine- N, N-diacetic acid chelating ligand. Also, increasing the concentration of the chelating ligand further decreased the HRT of the digester system from 25 days to 19days. Concentration of trace metals like Iron, Cobalt and Nickel within the digester system ranged from 0.001-0.050 mg/L; these metals reacted with ethylene diamine- N, N-diacetic acid chelating ligand to form metal chelates. The metal chelate formed resulted in the catalysis of the hydrolysis stage (which is the rate determining step) of the anaerobic digestion process. Thus, the decrease in HRT was due to the metal chelate catalysis of the hydrolysis stage of the anaerobic digestion process were the metal chelate formation served as the driving force in the solvolysis process. </text>
