Indonesian waters connect the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. These waters are also highly influenced by the monsoonal climate. Current is a very important parameter in the marine environment and affect both directly and indirectly the marine environment. A study has been done in the waters of Spermonde Archipelago in Makassar Strait to develop a model of relationship between tidal current velocities and capture of small pelagic fishes at transition between west and east moonsoonal season. Insitu field data were collected for 3 (three) months, from April to June 2009. Besides that, this study also used a two-year image data (acquired from October 2007 to June 2009). Study sites were deployed in areas of fishing base of small pelagic fishes within the waters of Spermonde Archipelago, Pangkep District, South Sulawesi, particularly in areas where purse seine gears were operated by the fishermen. Distribution of current parameters, depth, wind direction and velocity, and tidal data were depicted horizontally using Surfer v 7.0 software package. Meanwhile, Surface Modelling System v 8.1. (SMS v 8.1) program was used to make prediction of the movement pattern of the surface current. Results of the analysis of current movement patterns when the waters were approaching hightide showed that water mass movement from southern region (Flores Sea) was diverted and passed through the Spermonde Archipelago to the coastline of Pangkep Regency. In contrary, when the waters were approaching ebb tide, the current from the western coast of Pangkep Regency passed the Spermonde Archipelago and diverted to the Flores Sea again. Analysis of current velocity indicated that higher current (> 0.1 m s-1) was found in offshore and tend to decrease below 0.1 m s-1 as the current passing the waters of Spermonde Archipelago. Optimal capture was obtained up to the current velocity of 0.032 m s-1 i.e. 187.9 kg, and tend to decrease with increasing current velocity. At the highest current velocity, that is 0.216 m s-1, the capture was 112 kg. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui distribusi kehilangan perlekatan jaringan periodontal pada narapidana di Cabang Rumah Tahanan Negara Lhoknga Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan subjek yaitu total sampling dengan jumlah narapidana 56 orang. Pemeriksaan yang akan dilakukan adalah pemeriksaan kehilangan perlekatan jaringan periodontal. On prison is a place where space is limited and their inmates are isolated from society. Oral health that less attention will cause problems, one of which is that periodontal disease can lead to loss of periodontal tissue attachment. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of periodontal tissue attachment loss of inmates in Lhoknga Detention-Aceh Besar. This research is a descriptive cross-sectional approach. Subject retrieval technique is total sampling the number of inmates 56 people. Examination will be done is the examination of periodontal tissue attachment loss. Berdasarkan model yang diperoleh maka dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa keberadaan patahan Sumatera Segmen Aceh dan Segmen Seulimuem dapat dipetakan. Geometri patahan umumnya dicirikan oleh zona resistivitas rendah, Pada Lintasan Cb zona resistivitas rendah berbentuk agak vertikal pada jarak 40 km (titik Cb5) diduga sebagai Segmen Aceh dan pada jarak 80 km (titik C5M) sebagai Segmen Seulimuem. The instrument for acquisition data was MTU-SA from Phoenix Geophysics, Canada with work frequency about 1.02 until 320 Hz. The two lines of profile measurement were almost perpendicular with the presumed geological strike direction of Sumatran Fault. The first line (Cb line) was 89 kilometers long and the second line (Db line) along 120 kilometers. The measurements data were two components of electric fields and three components of magnetic fields, afterwards, the data were transferred became the value of the apparent resistivies and phases. The apparent resistivity and phase values therefore become modeling input by using MT2DInv code. The models were descript and mapped of the presence of Sumatran Fault (Aceh and Seulimuem segments). The fault geometry was generally characterized by low resistivity zone. On the Cb line, the low resistivity zone were tend to vertically shaped in 40 kilometers of distance (Cb5 point), estimated as Aceh segment and in 80 kilometers (C5M) as Seulimuem segment. Increasing of aquaculture production is playing an important contribution to increase of environmental and pathological problems in several aquaculture production centers. Therefore, prevention and control of diseases are now become a top priority for the sustainability of this industry. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the distribution of fish pathogen in some mariculture production centers in Riau Islands Province. The study was conducted from Febrari 2011 to December 2013. The study showed that Nodavirus and Iridovirus as a viral disease-causing agents were commonly found in marine fish farm. While Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp. and Edwardsiella spp. were general pathogenic microorganism in marine and freshwater fish farms. Furthermore, there were also found various parasites such as Diplectanum sp., Gyrodactilus sp., Caligus sp., Trichodina sp., Rhexanella sp., Hirudinae sp., Benedenia sp.  and Cylodonela sp. in various marine and freshwater fish production centers in the Riau Islands Province. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nodavirus dan Iridovirus merupakan agen penyebab penyakit virus yang umum ditemukan di budidaya ikan laut. Sementara Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp. dan Edwardsiella spp. merupakan mikroorganisme patogen yang umum ditemukan di sentra budidaya ikan laut dan ikan air tawar. This study aimed to identify the primordial radionuclide distribution pattern elements and the total magnetic field, and investigate the influence of cement industry on the radioactive elements and magnetic field measurement results. In this work, the Gamma Ray Spectrometer GM-260 was used to measure the intensity of gamma ray, while the magnetometer G-856 proton precession magnetometer type (PPM) was used to observe the total magnetic field intensity. Measurements were taken at 52 points around the cement industry. As the results, the thorium, uranium, potassium distribution, and the total magnetic field has been create as a contour of maps. Thorium is the most radioactive element which found at the area. It was found on 32 points with a maximum value of 1.52 ppm. Uranium is obtained at 13 measuring points, with a maximum value of 0.46 ppm. While the Potassium is found only in two points, with the value are 0.04% and 0.09%. The values are very small, so it is not harmful to the environment. The maximum value of the total magnetic field is 681.80 nT. It means that the remanent magnetic field has the same direction as the induction magnetic field. So, the subsurface rock has a high magnetic values. The minimum value is -251.69nT, explained that the subsurface rocks are non-magnetic. Based on these analysis, indicated that there is no context between radioactive elements and magnetic field with the cement industry at the research area.
