Mulberry leaves has a great potential as animal feeds because of its high nutrient content, but has deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) active matter. It is potential to inhibit carbohydrate hydrolysis process, come to monosaccharides. The objective of this experiment is to study the inhibiting ability of mulberry leave extract in carbohydrate hydrolysis process. The kinds of carbohydrates were using glucose, maltose, sucrose and starch. This experiment used twenty four of 60 days old male mice (Mus musculus). Diet and water were given ad libitum. Treatment were allocated ina factorial completely randomized design with three replications and two factors containing of completely mulberry leaves extract and variance of carbohydrates. Variable observed were feed consumtion, feed digestibility, body weight gain and blood glucose. The data were analyzed with univariate analysis of variance. The result showed that inclusion of mulberry leaves extract had decrease body weight (P< 0,05) and reduce blood glucose (P< 0,05).</text>

<text>The utilization of biocontrol agents as an alternative to synthetic pesticides becomes widespread as the increase of awareness to negative effects of synthetic pesticides. The objectives of this research were to isolate rhizobacteria from tomato plant rhizosphere and to characterize effective rhizobacteria isolates to deter growth of Phytopthora capsici colony. The rhizobacteria was isolated from healthy tomato plant rhizosphere, and then antagonism nature to pathogen was evaluated by double culture method. Deterrent ability of the rhizobacteria was measured based on resistance zone formed due to the presence of the biocontrol agents. Among 57 isolates, 18 were potential for further evaluation. Deterrent ability test of the 18 isolates resulted in 3 isolates which were very promising to be developed as biocontrol agents to control seed borne pathogens. They were RBBM36, RBBM18 and RBBM35. </text>

(II) Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial.
