Critical moisture and water activity of coconut (Cocos nucifera L.), were analyzed for the first and second critical points of transition among the primary, secondary and the tertiery  bound water fraction in the coconut. It was found out that the first critical points of moisture content and water activity were Mp of 5.22% db and ap of 0.30 respectively. Sabjek dari penelitian ini adalah 591 KK yang ada di Gampong Blang Krueng Kecamatan Baitussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar sedangkan objek berjumlah10 KK. Pengambilan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah para kepala keluarga/ibu rumah tangga. Objek dilakukan dengan cara acak, sehingga anggota subjek mempunyai peluang yang sama untuk menjadi anggota objek. Pengumpulan data dapat dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan faktor penyebab timbulnya perilaku merokok pada remaja laki-laki di gampong Blang Krueng Kecamatan Baitussalam Kebupaten Aceh Besar yaitu seperti pengaruh orang tua, sosial/masyarakat, pengaruh teman, kepribadian, kurangnya kontrol orang tua. Sedangkan upaya untuk mencegah dan menghentikan perilaku merokok pada remaja laki-laki adalah dengan cara : memberi pemahaman dan penjelasan terhadap bagaimana bahaya merokok bagi kesehatan tubuh. memberikan nasehat kepada anak-anak yang sudah mulai mencoba-coba untuk merokok, agar anak tersebut bisa berhenti merokok. It is well known that the presence of various egg parasitoids on the green stink bug, Nezara viridula, can decrease the population of this insect pest on soybean plantation. A research has been conducted to observe the parasitism level of various egg parasitoids associated with N. viridula on different stages of soybean plantation. The plant stages used were 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12 weeks after planting (WAP), with 6 experimental plot for each stage, and 5 plants for each experimental unit. Three pairs of N. viridula adult then were relased onto each plant which was covered by the gauze cage earlier. When egg were laid, the cage was taken out leaving 2 eggs rafts per plant. These N. viridula eggs then were exposed to parasitoid for three days, before taking them all to the laboratory. The observations were done on the parasitized eggs. The result showed that different stages of soybean plants significantly affected the parasitism level of various egg parasitoids, with 26 to 46% parasitism level. Up to 71.8% of parasitize egg successfully became adult parasitoids. There were four different Hymenoptera egg parasitoids found associated with N. viridula, namely Telenomus sp. (Scelionidae), Gryon sp. (Scelionidae), Mycroteris sp. (Encyrtidae), and Anastatus sp. (Eupelmidae). Due to its abunden (91.5%) on soybean plantation, and its fair sex ratio, Telenomus sp.is believed to have a great potential for future development as a biological control agent on the green stink bug, N. viridula. This study aims to determine the response of maize (Zea mays, Sacharata SHOUT) against the use of several types of organic mulch and organic fertilizer super nasa and whether there is an interaction between both factors. This research has been conducted in the village of Kuala  Batee, Terbue District of Southwest Aceh district which lasted from 17 july - 30 october 2008, and with Research Randomized factorial arranged with the combined treatment of organic mulch (M) that M1 = straw, M2 = bagase, M3= rice husk, while the organic fertilizer treatments super nasa (P) is P1 = 10 g / l of water, P2 = 20 g / l of water and P3 = 30 g / l of water with three replications. Results showed that oral administration of organic mulch significantly affect corn production, the best production of mulch was found in rice husk (M3) significant than other types of organic mulch. Fertilizer did not affect the process of growth and yield of maize. There is interaction between the type of Mulching with organic fertilizer super nasa. The best combination was obtained in the combined treatment  M2P1  or M3P3. Salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang diduga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-square (TPS). Model pembelajaran TPS memberi pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran TPS pada materi volume kubus dan balok di kelas VIII SMPN 4 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran TPS lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian yang dilakukan berupa penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis pendekatan eksperimen yaitu true experimental design dan bentuk tes yaitu randomized control group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik acak (random) sehingga terpilih kelas eksperimen (VIII2) dan kelas kontrol (VIII3). Hasil pengujian data kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga dapat dianalisis dengan statistik non parametrik uji yaitu Mann Whitney dengan taraf signifikan ? = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data terhadap skor N-Gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika diperoleh nilai zhitung = 2.50 dan nilai ztabel = 1.64, hal ini berarti H0 ditolak dan akibatnya H1 diterima. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan model TPS lebih baik dari pada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional pada materi volume kubus dan volume balok. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor N-Gain masing-masing kelompok, kelas eksperimen menghasilkan nilai rata-rata 0.61, sedangkan kelas eksperimen mencapai nilai rata-rata 0.37. The experiment to improve mineral acid soil productivity in Aceh that is potential to plantation. This experiment was conducted during the month of February until Mei 2006. It studied the effect of peat application, phosphate fertilization and the effect of the interaction. They were consist of sixteen combination of treatment with fourty eight plots. The experimental design was in randomized completely block design, there were two factors treatment. e.i. four level of peat namely; no pead, 10 ton, 20 ton, and 30 ton ha-1. The result shows that in general the application of peat and phosphate fertilization with different level were able to improve significantly the corn growth e.i.: crop growth rate, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, and leaf area biomassa ratio, but they interaction were not significantly on 4 – 8 weeks periode. The interaction were significantly on 8 weeks to harvest periode however the two single factor show nonsignificantly. The interaction between pead application of 2 ton ha-1 and 100 ton ha-1 posfat fertilization gave a better result.
