The research was carried out by introducing a mesoscale model, namely Weather and Research Forecasting (WRF). One domain with spatial resolution at 10 km was utilized in the model. The model involved significant physical parameters, e.g., Kain-Fritsch in the cumulus scheme, Yonsei University in the Planetary Boundary Layer scheme, and WRF Single-Moment 3-class in the microphysics scheme. The analysis focused on January 8th to 14th upon all stages of Narelle. The result showed that Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) higher than 26°C was a favorable environment for Cylone Narelle to form. Surface sensible and latent heat fluxes have strong positive correlation with wind speed and SST. It can be concluded that these variables were highly correlated with surface heat flux that further lead to the formation and intensification of Cyclone Narelle in early January 2013 over South Indian Ocean. This experimental research used random sampling and random assignment to determine the control group (CG) and the experimental group (EG). Pre- tests, treatment or teaching and post-tests were done to both groups. The study was conducted with 60 second year students from a junior high school in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Students’ mean scores for the pre-test in the CG were 40.76 and 60.76 for the post-test, meanwhile students’ mean scores for the pre-test in the EG were 40 and 72.69 for the post-test. Thus, the t-test between both groups was 9.39 and the t-table was 2.056 which used 0.05 as the level of significance for this research. Because the t-test value was higher than the t-table (9.39 > 2.056), Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, the CIRC technique can improve the content and organization of students’ writing in doing recount texts. In addition, because students work in groups, they have more opportunity to learn and share their ideas with other students to produce better writing. This study sampled a total of 33 manufacturing companies according to certain criteria of population. The results show the simultaneous effect of disclosure of CSR, company size and institutional Ownership of the ERC. Partial results show that the negative effect on the disclosure of CSR ERC, company size is not very influential and have a negative relationship to the ERC, and Institutional Ownership has positive influence on Earnings Response Coefficient. This research was conducted to study correlation between streamflow and sediment concentration at upstream and downstream Padang watershed on July until December 2013. The research was conducted by using survey method at two outlet of Padang watershed were Padang sub watershed and Padang Hilir sub watershed. Sampling of water at two (2) outlets were conducted at stream surface by using depth intergrating suspended sediment sampler technique at three (3) points of river body. Sampling waters conducted at two times that were after rainand no rain. Sediment concentration (Cs) calculated by Cs = (G2 – G1) / V equation. Streamflow (Q) calculated by multiplying velocity and wide of river by Q = A x V equation. The results showed that no correlation between streamflow and sediment concentration at upstream when no rain (Cs = 0,0007 +0,0412 Q; R2 = 0,43) and at downstream when no rain (Cs = 0,0002 Q + 0,07157; R2 = 0,057). There were correlation between streamflow and sediment concentration at upstream after rain (Cs = 0,00041 Q +0,0611; R2 = 0,88) and at downstream after rain (Cs = 0,00015 Q + 0,03293; R2 = 0,9). Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource 2014-02-01 Description An account of the resource Abstract - A comparison of the inhibiting efficiency of antibiotic drugs (ciprofloxacin, cloxacillin, and amoxicillin) on the corrosion of mild steel in 1 mol·L−1 HCl were studied at room temperature using mass loss measurement. The main reason is probably be due to the formation of protective coverage by the inhibitor as other authors reported previously. Adsorption characteristics of the inhibitor has also been studied using simple equation and it was found that drugs inhibits the corrosion of mild steel by being adsorbed on the surface of mild steel by a physical adsorption mechanism. The adsorption of drugs on the mild steel surface was found to be spontaneous and obey the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. It was observed that the test drug has a promising inhibitory action in acid medium against corrosion of mild steel. Moreover it was revealed that an inhibition efficiency of 80.1 % can be achieved with 3×10-3M ciprofloxacin drug treatment on mild steel.Keywords: Steel corrosion; Antibiotic drugs; Adsorption isotherm; Inhibition mechanism.
