<text>The operation of a building construction project should be carried out through aspecific management system. Construction project must also have a definite schedule and implementation plan. The general impact that would occur if the construction is not accordance with the schedule and plan is that the delays in project realization which would increase the cost of implementation. One of the factors causing such delays is due to the reworking activities on one or more items of the construction process. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause rework on the building construction projects in the Department of Highways and Settlements in Aceh Province. The research methodology is descriptive qualitative to descriptive quantitative that explains the processed data based on the calculation of numbers. The instrument of this research was a questionnaire that asked to 55 respondents, consisting of 16 project owners, 23 contractors and 16 supervising consultants. This study was conducted to see the main factors of the rework on building construction projects. The results showed that a major cause of the rework in termof design and documentation was the unclear detail and the changed design; in term of managerial factors is lack of control of the project owner; and materials arrived late and the lack of working experience were major causes of rework in term of resource factors. It is recommended to the Highways Agency and Human Settlements in Aceh Province to tighten control over the project consultants and contractors to pay attention to the managerial problems and procurement of materials in accordance with schedule and work volume</text>

<text>Abstract: This research aims to know the influence of the percentage of aggregate amount against the normal concrete compressive strength with a Water Cement Ratio (w/c-ratio) of 0.35; 0.40 and 0.45, in order to obtain the optimum percentage of aggregate amount in the concrete mix. The specimens used in this research were the standard cylinders with a diameter of 150 mm and a height of 300 mm amounting to 90 samples and cubes with a size of 150 x 150 x 150 mm amounting to 54 samples. The maximum aggregate diameter was 25.4 mm with the planned slump of 75-100 mm. Variables in this study were three variations of w/c-ratio and three variations of the percentage of aggregate amount (60%; 70% and 80%). Concrete compression tests were carried out at the age of 7 and 28 days using the compression tester machine with a capacity of 100 ton. The standards used in this research were the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), British Standard (BS), and the Indonesia National Standard (SNI). Concrete mix design was done by the method of weight proportion of the material. Cement being used was Portland Cement Type I. To record the data of loads and deformations during testing was used portable data logger. To analyze the effect between determined variables was selected a variant analysis using two ways classification with fixed effect model. Regression analysis used was multiple polynomial regression. Based on the variance analysis results, it is showed that there is a significant influence between the aggregate amount against the concrete compressive strength, with the maximum concrete compressive strengths were obtained at the percentage of aggregate amount of 70% for each w/c-ratio, specimen shape factor and age of testing.

<text>Indonesian ocean has a riches of maritime fishery potency, so fishery mapping is important to be maintained, examined and explored. Fishery potency observation requires a vehicle to bring the observations and data collection equipments to the seabed by  an electric-powered underwater vehicle or AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). AUV is a kind of underwater vehicle that has an ability to bring underwater observation’s instrument. The operation of these vehicles is wireless and autonomous. It is able to move to specific locations in accordance with trajectory in the programmable microcontroller and the GPS sensors. The aim this research is to design a control system for underwater survey that can make a communication  to control center on the beach by sending and receiving SMS thru GSM network. This AUV communication systems to explore coastal area, moving from one point of observation to the next observation point (point to point) in accordance with the latitude and longitude  that is programmed and customized using GIS MapQuest software, and also trajectory correction control system by using GPS. In this paper, we described control systems and data communication for navigating auv based on GPS, GSM and GIS technology. Development control systems includes trajectory monitoring system, long range control by GSM network and position tracking by GIS .</text>
