Dengan menggunakan media sekaligus model pembelajaran, diharapkan hasil belajar siswa dapat mengalami peningkatan. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk mengadakan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga pada materi dimensi tiga di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Adapun sampel yang diteliti diambil dua kelas secara purposif sampling yaitu siswa kelas X2 yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan siswa kelas X3 yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan pre experiment design dengan jenis pre-test dan post-test group. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dengan taraf signifikan ? = 0,05, dengan mula-mula menguji homogenitas dan normalitas data. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan software Google SketchUp dan siswa yang diajarkan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan alat peraga pada materi dimensi tiga di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Banda Aceh. Rata-rata nilai hasil post-test siswa kelas X2 = 62,52 dan kelas X3 = 56,39, sehingga dapat disimpulkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X2 dengan software Google SketchUp lebih tinggi dari kelas X3 yang diajarkan dengan alat peraga. Crocidolomia pavonana F. is an important pest on mustards. Damage caused by this pest could be 100 percent if not controlled. Objective of the research was to find an effective concentration of garlic extract to control C. pavonana F. The research was the conducted at Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Treatments were arranged by Completely Randomized Block Design (CRD) non factorial with 7 level concentrations based on LC50 of 20.69 ml L-1 or 20.69 percent. The concentrations of treatment were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 ml L-1 of water. The treatment was replication four times. The result showed that the garlic extracts were effective to control C. pavonana. Image classification method used critically effects the classified image produced as well as its accuracy. One of the recently introduced classification methods is Object-Oriented Classification (OOC). The fundamental difference between this method and that of Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC) lies on the basic unit of image analytical prosses, i.e., image object or segment, and not on a single pixed. The new classification method uses a segmentation procedure with a hierarchical approach which allows an addition of an object  characteristic to other information related  to the classified object, such as from, texture, and context. This object or segment is formed because the smallest region has a larger area than the image pixel. In this study, MLC and OOC classification methods were compered using Landsat ETM+ image for Gayo Lues District of Aceh. The objective of this study was to map out land cover/ landuse classes of the research area and compare the result and its accuracy using the MLC and OOC classification methods. Result  of the study showed that a higher, more detailed, hierarchical land cover/ landuse class with a higher accuracy was obtained using OOC classification method which corresponds better to the contextual condition in the field compared to that of the pixel- based classification method. The purpose of this study is the first year that has acquired a source of inoculum levels are high pathogenicity, obtained an effective inoculation method, a positive correlation between the level of resistance in the field and laboratory. The results showed that the origin of the inoculum pathogenicity test results obtained from symptomatic fruit in the field, almost entirely showed a high degree of pathogenicity. Effective method of artificial inoculation is to hurt and stuck both in leaf and pod. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan apa saja yang mempengaruhi rendahnya nilai Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG) tahap I pada guru mata pelajaran kimia SMA dari aspek kompetensi profesional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 48 orang guru kimia SMA yang telah mengikuti UKG tahap I yang tersebar hampir di seluruh SMA negeri dan swasta di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini meliputi dokumentasi untuk menelusuri data dan nilai peserta yang mengikuti UKG tahap I, lalu angket yang berisi sejumlah alternatif permasalahan yang akan dipilih oleh subjek penelitian dengan mengurutkan permasalahan yang ada sesuai prioritas yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian. Hasil angket yang diperoleh akan dikonfirmasi kembali melalui serangkaian wawancara yang bersifat bebas terpimpin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan permasalahan yang mempengaruhi rendahnya nilai UKG UKG kimia SMA di Kota Banda Aceh berturut-turut dari permasalahan yang paling mempengaruhi, sangat mempengaruhi, mempengaruhi, dan cukup mempengaruhi adalah adalah guru terbiasa hanya mengajar di kelas X, XI, atau XII saja, guru tidak terbiasa memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pengembangan diri dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, kurangnya penguasaan mengaitkan konsep dalam ilmu kimia, dan adalah tidak pernah melakukan praktikum di sekolah. Berdasarkan persentase keseluruhan (?89.9%) maka permasalahan yang ada tergolong dalam kategori tinggi.
