The purpose of this study to analyze and evaluate the impact of the Village Independent Food Programme (Demapan) through empowerment of poor rural communities in managing and utilizing available resources optimally. The research was conducted in Aceh Timur District in two villages receiver Demapan Program Desa Seunuebok Simpang Banda Alam Subdistrict and Gaseh Sayang Subdistrict of Darul Aman. This study uses quantitative methods, with a purposive sampling sampling of the affinity group (participants) and the non-affinity. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and statistical tests inferesial. Data used in the descriptive analysis of data scoring is shown in tabular form.The results showed domination of asset for poor households still rely on agricultural land as the main assets. Proportion of household poverty level affinity groups in the village at the beginning of the program at Gaseh Sayang classified in the category of the poor, in 2012 reached 60 percent are in the category of prosperous, less prosperous 13.33 percent and 26.67 percent only enter the category of the poor. Seunebok Simpang village at the beginning of the program is actually 60 per cent included in the category of less prosperous, and 40 percent of categories prosperous. The 2012 program in this village have not been able to improve the welfare of the community, where poor families increased 13.33 percent and 53.33 percent down to family or drops to less prosperous or poor family of 6,67 percent. A farmer faced with the enigma to determining the competition of activity in optimizing farming activities. The research was done in Lam Seunong village, Kecamatan Kota Baro, Aceh Besar, the object of research is the farmers who worked in rice, mustard and lettuce land farm. The purpose of this research was to know optimal cropping pattern for mustard and lettuce farming in rice production areas in an effort to increase the optimize income of farmers. The research using purposive sampling techniques with particular sampling, analytical methods using linear programming optimization. The results showed the optimal cropping pattern in the local rice production area is rice and mustard greens in the first season and lettuce in the second season that will obtain maximum revenue of Rp. 76,568,940.00 per period of the rice planting season. With an area of arable land each season is 0.3 hectare for rice in the first season, 0.26 hectare for mustard in the first season, and 0.26 hectare for lettuce second season. The aim of this research is to find out the type of cooperation which is able to create a fair and better income distribution not only for the farmer but also for the land owner. This research used a survey method. The stratified random sampling technique was used to pick up the sample from population distributed in rice field spread out area. Five gampong (villages) were chosen from each spread out area. Meanwhile, two farmers and two land owners who do not work the land are chosen from each gampong. The result shows that the Type II Mawah System is more able to provide a bigger income proportion and create a fair and better income distribution for both the farmer and the land owner than the other two systems. The samples used in this study were 36 farmers were taken with the Proportional stratifies random sampling method. The results found that overall (simultaneously) the observed variables significantly affect production, while partial variabel land area (X1), urea (X3), manure (X4) and labor (X5) does not significantly affect the production and variabel seeds (X2) significantly affected the production of spinach. Allocative efficiency analysis shows that the factors of production of seed and manure inefficient use may need to be added while the land area for production factors, urea fertilizer and labour should be reduced because it is not efficient in its use. Various chocolate products are very easy to find in the city of Banda Aceh and it’s brand on the market are very diverse, ranging from international branded products to local brand products, therefore, there was competition between producers in sustaining the market share that has been mastered. Aware of high level of competition among the chocolate products, the manufacturer seeks to introduce its products to the public by showing the various advantages of products attributes that they have. Essentially, marketing stimuli is one of products attributes, which it could affect consumer perception. The purposed of this study is to determine the attributes that influence consumer perception and how consumer perceptions of the chocolate products consumption in Banda Aceh. The method of data analysis using Chi Square Test and descriptive analysis. Based on the result of chi square analysis, the attributes that affect consumer perception is taste, price, quality and advertising. While based on the results of the descriptive qualitative analysis, it turn out that consumers in Banda Aceh have the perception those cocoa products more consumed by the upper classes consumers compared to low income consumers. The aim of this study is to understand the supply chain and economic value added of supply of organic coffee involving various agencies. Research has been done with a combination of surveys and focus group discussions at two points of organic coffee production centers. Results showed that supply network of raw material in Cooperative Baitul Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQ) came from collectors contracted by the principle of partnership. Those collectors received raw materials from farmers in each cluster and they were supervised by KBQ. The supply networks of coffee in KBQ consisted of two types of channels: (a) domestic channel and (b) export channels. In the domestic channels, coffees were auctioned by inviting local buyers. Economic value added obtained by KBQ was much larger than the collectors. This is due to the more complex of roles undertaken by KBQ. Hence to increase collector and farmers' incomes, the more complex roles should be applied. The development of food industry in Indonesia has increased the demand and domestic consumption of pectin. Cocoa skin is potentially used to produce pectin as the raw material of industry. This study aimed to determine the effect of treatments on raw material, the medium and pH extraction to the characteristics of the pectin produced from cocoa skin, and to analyse the economic feasibility of pectin production from cocoa skin. Production was started with pectin extraction using citric acid solvent  to some variables : 1) type of raw material (fresh and dried), 2) extraction time (60 and 90 minutes), and 3) pH of the extraction (2.5 and 3.5), then was continued by clotting with 95% ethanol, washing and drying of pectin. Economic analysis was done through analysis of break-even point (BEP) and the return cost ratio (RCR) to determine the level of benefits and feasibility of cocoa skin utilization. The results showed that the research treatments produced 5.6% - 6.7% pectin from initial weight of cocoa skin used, and the moisture content was 8.7% - 9.58%.
