Penyebaran limbah radiologi di lingkungan rumah sakit gigi mulut disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dokter gigi muda tentang pengelolaan dan dampak limbah radiologi. Limbah radiologi kedokteran gigi berupa cairan fixer, developer, X-ray film, dan lead yang terdapat pada pembungkus film. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dokter gigi muda tentang pengelolaan limbah radiologi kedokteran gigi di RSGM Unsyiah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif yang dilakukan di RSGM Unsyiah. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari seluruh dokter gigi muda RSGM Unsyiah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, berjumlah 273 orang. Selanjutnya subjek penelitian diminta mengisi lembar kuesioner berupa pertanyaan mengenai pengelolaan limbah radiologi kedokteran gigi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan, 91,9% percaya limbah radiologi dapat merusak lingkungan. Mengenai pembuangan cairan fixer 17,9% membuang ke wastafel, 77,7% melarutkan dengan air dan membuangnya ke wastafel, 1,8% melalui perusahaan khusus dan 2,6% menggunakan cara lain. Pembuangan cairan developer sebagai berikut: 21,2% membuang ke wastafel, 76,6% melarutkan dengan air dan membuangnya ke wastafel, 1,1% melalui perusahaan khusus dan 1,1% menggunakan cara lain. Pembuangan air pencuci film 34,8% membuangnya di wastafel, 63,7% melarutkan dengan air dan membuangnya ke wastafel, 0,7% melalui perusahaan khusus dan 0,7% menggunakan cara lain. Mengenai pembungkus film, 96,3% membuangnya di tong sampah reguler dan hanya 3,7% melalui perusahaan khusus. Deployment of waste in dental hospital because lack of concern dental clinic student about impact and waste management of radiographic waste. Dental radiographic waste consist of fixer solutions, developer, X-ray film and lead aprons. The aim of this study was to survey the knowledge dental clinic student about dental radiographic waste management in RSGM Unsyiah. This survey is descriptive in University Syiah Kuala Dental Hospital. A total of 273 of the participants is dental clinic student, complied inclusion criteria. The participants were asked to fill questionnaire about dental radiographic waste management. The result shown, 91.9% of the participants believed that waste could lead the environment damage. Concerning to the fixer discarding, 17.9% threw in the sink, 77.7% diluted the fixer in water and threw it in to the sink, 1.8% used a specialized company to discard it and 2.6% used other means. Fungal diversity on litter horizon layer of Acacia mangium were investigated to examined fungal species and fungal community on each litter horizon layer, and also to examined relationship between organic content of litter and fungal community. Twenty two species were isolated from three litter horizon layer with dilution method. Total fungal population on five years old A. mangium standing was higher than two years old, whereas on logging former area was low. Total fungal population on standing two and five years old were highest on L layer follow by F and H layer, but on logging former area were highest F layer followed by L and H layer. Aspergillus was dominate on H layer in almost of sampling collection area, beside that Aspergillus and Penicillium were found also on L and F layer. Generally L and F layer dominated by Sp7, Sp5, Sp20, and Sp22. The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of germination medium from sands of tsunami, deep planting and interaction between these factor on the vigor of sweet corn seed var. Manise-I. Factorial type of Completely Randomized Design with three replications was used in the experiment. The factor germination medium consist at three levels; river sand, sands of tsunami sand, washed tsunami sand; whereas deep planting factor consist of 2, 3, and 4 cm. The research result show that germination medium from sands of tsunami had high significant different on all parameters which consist of growth potential, germination ability, growth velocity, growth sincronization, and seedling vigor. Deep planting had high significant different on the all of parameters. There were no significant different on interaction between germination medium and deep planting on all of observed parameters. Meningkatnya prevalensi obesitas berhubungan dengan meningkatnya risiko menderita OSA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara obesitas dengan risiko menderita Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) di RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 29 Agustus-29 Oktober 2013. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 200 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode consecutive sampling. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner Berlin dan pengukuran Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Analisis data dilakukan secara bertahap meliputi analisis univariat dan bivariat menggunakan chi-square. Kebanyakan responden yang berisiko OSA adalah usia 18-29 tahun (36,6%). Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, risiko menderita OSA banyak ditemukan pada laki-laki, yaitu 49,5%. Sedangkan berdasarkan IMT, risiko menderita OSA banyak ditemukan pada IMT ?25 kg/m2.Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik untuk variabel obesitas menunjukkan nilai probabilitas p-value = 0,000 (p < 0,005) dan nilai chi-square hitung (X2) sebesar 56,4. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara obesitas dengan risiko menderita Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) di RSUD dr. The introduction of an invasive exotic plant species may influence parasitoid insect community indirectly. The objective of this research is to evaluate the implication of the existence of invasive species-waterhyacinth on parasitoid insect community. The research was done in several fresh water ecosystem occupied by waterhyacinth in west java and DKI Jakarta, conducted during January 2004 to March 2006. Sweep net and yellow pan trap were use to collect the sample of insects. The result of the research showed that the existence of waterhyacinth may indirectly resulted in decreasing species richness and diversity of parasitoid insect. The observation also showed that the existence of waterhyacinth may lead to homogenization of parasitoid insect in aquatic vegetation. The research was conducted to study the interaction water deficiency level and soybean varieties to capacity of the plant growth, product and prolin content. The experiment as factorial experiment in a completely randomized design was applied. The first treatment factors were three level varieties soybean: Kipas putih, Wilis, and Singgalang. The second factor were four level water deficiency: no water deficiency along the growth period, water deficiency along early vegetative growth period, water deficiency along early active of vegetative growth period, water deficiency along flowering, and forming and seed filling period, and water deficiency along seed maturity period. The results showed the water deficiency along each growth period decreased the growth and production. In contrast the water deficiency increases the plant prolin content. The water deficiency along flowering, forming and seed filling period decreased number of pod of all variety. The variety Kipas Putih decreased about 42.49% were compared to the same criteria with no water deficiency in all growth period where water given in normal amount along the through growth period.
