Peran Polisi Resor Aceh Selatan, dalam menangani dan mengawasi jalannya pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kabupaten Aceh Selatan periode 2013-2018 agar bisa mewujudkan pemilihan yang jujur dan adil.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya apa saja yang dilakukan oleh Polres Aceh Selatan dalam mewujudkan pemilihan umum kepala daerah yang jujur dan adil serta mengetahui hambatan apa saja yang dihadapi oleh polisi Resor Aceh Selatan dalam mewujudkan pemilihan umum kepala daerah yang jujurdan adil. Data yang diperlukan dalam penulisan skripsi ini diperoleh melalui penelitian kepustakaan dan lapangan. Penelitian kepustakaan dilakukan dengan cara membaca buku teks, peraturan perundang-undangan dan bahan bacaan lainnya yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini, sedangkan penelitian lapangan dilakukan dengan cara mewawancarai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa Polres Aceh Selatan sudah maksimal dalam pengamanan pemilukada Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Aceh Selatan. dengan cara membuat satuan tugas yang di namakan dengan Satuan Tugas Resor Penyelidik, Satuan Tugas Resor Penegakan Hukum, Satuan Tugas Resor Pencegah, Satuan Tugas Resor Penindakan, Satuan Tugas Resor Pengawalan Route Perjalanan Parkir, Satuan Tugas Resor Bantuan Operasi dan Satuan Tugas Resor pembinaan, Ketertiban dan Penyuluhan yang bertugas mulai dari awal pemilihan hingga berakhirnya pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati. Hambatan yang di hadapi oleh Polres Aceh Selatan yaitu : Kurangnya Sarana dan Prasarana serta Kurangnya personil Polisi Resor Aceh Selatan. Polres Aceh Selatan harus bekerja lebih maksimal dan mengadakan terobosan-terobosan baru dalam meningkatkan sistem keamanan pada saat pemilukada.Kata Kunci: Polisi Resor Aceh Selatan, Pemilihan umum kepala daerah.
