Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D). Langkah-langkah penelitian dikembangkan menggunakan langkah penelitian dan pengembangan dari Borg and Gall yaitu : (1) tahap pendahuluan meliputi studi lapangan dan kepustakaan, (2) tahap perencanaan, (3) tahap pengembangan modul, (4) tahap uji coba terbatas. Modul yang dikembangkan dibantu oleh dosen ahli sampai modul valid dan siap diujicobakan. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya dengan melibatkan 4 orang guru dan 14 orang siswa yang memberikan tanggapan terhadap modul yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian ahli untuk kualitas modul integratif kimia unsur dalam kimia tanah menunjukkan rata-rata skor total 82,6% dengan kategori Baik. Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan 91,1% guru dan 90,0% siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap modul. The result research show that model application of cooperative learning STAD type can during learning at ranks and line aritmetics at class IX SMPN 1 Labuhanhaji South Aceh. This thing can see from the raising completeness learning in every siclus. Clasical completeness in siclus I is 81,82% with the average value 79,24, classical completeness in siclus II is 90.91% with average value 86,21 or increase 8,08% equivalent with average value in siclus I.
