The aims of this research were to estimate the correlation coefficient among agronomic traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya and evaluate the direct and indirect effects of those traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya. The objective of the experiment was to find out the best growing media composition and gibberellins concentration on growth and flowering rose. This experiment was conducted in Agriculture Faculty Field Experiment of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from May to July 2013. This experiment used a factorial randomized block design with three replications and three plants/treatment unit. First factor was growing media consists of 3 types of media using a volume ratio of 1:1:1 (v/ v), namely: soil + manure + sand, soil + manure + chaff, and soil + manure + ricehull charcoal. Second factor was gibberellins concentration consists of four levels, namely: 0 ml L-1, 1 ml L-1, 3 ml L-1, and 5 ml L-1. The results showed that the best number of (2,75 branches at 6 weeks after planting) and branch length (23,09 cm at 7 weeks after planting) observed in the soil + manure + chaff growing media. Application of 1 ml L-1 gibberellins produced the best number of branches (4,39 branches at 8 weeks after planting). The number of leaves on first flower stalks (8,83 leaf) and flower diameter (8,21 cm) are found in application of 3 ml L-1 of gibberellins. There is no significant interaction between the growing media and gibberellins on all observed variables.Key words: Rose, growing media, gibberellins. The research was to find the effect of  planting distance and some varieties on intercropping system of sweet corn and kidney beans to improve growth and   yield.  The experimental design was Complete Block Randomized with two factors and two replications. The first factor was planting distance between rows of sweet corn intercropping system (J1=60cmx30cm; J2=80cmx30cm; J3=100cmx30cm).  Then the second factor was variety (V1= Kumala F1; V2= King Sweet F1; V3=Super Bee). The results indicated that the best planting distance on intercropping some varieties of sweet corn and kidney bean was 100cmx30cm for sweet corn and 80cmx30cm and 100cmx30cm for kidney bean. The varieties treatment showed that the best variety of sweet corn was Super Bee and kidney bean was King Sweet F1. There was significantly different interaction between planting distance and varieties on intercropping system of sweet and kidney bean on the corn husk weight of sweet corn. Daun C. alata dimaserasi dengan pelarut n-heksana diperoleh ekstrak n-heksana 31,79 g (3,97%). Ekstrak n-heksana daun C. alata dipisahkan komponen-komponenya dengan kromatografi cair vakum, didapatkan 7 fraksi masing-masing adalah fraksi A(4,83 g), fraksi B( 5,18 g), fraksi C(1,46 g), fraksi D(1,86 g), fraksi E(2,08 g), fraksi F(0,81 g) dan fraksi G(0,67 g). Ekstrak kasar dan fraksi-fraksi yang diperoleh diuji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus menggunakan metode difusi agar dengan konsentrasi 5, 10 dan 20%. Fraksi yang paling aktif terhadap bakteri uji adalah fraksi G dengan konsentrasi 20% zona hambat yang dihasilkan pada bakteri E.coli sebesar 8,3 dan 20 mm terhadap bakteri S. aureus. Researches of temperature effect on plant have yet to provide obvious results of how leaf temperature and media temperature differs plant growth. The research of objectives are to study effects of water temperature irrigated to media and water temperature sprayed to the leaves on chili seedling growth. Completely randomized block design was used in the research. The factor studied were water temperature for watering media and water temperature for spraying seedling leaves. The result showed that water temperature for spraying seedling leaves significantly affected all variables observed, including seedling height, seedling diameter, leaf size, wet weight of seedling, wet weight of the roots, dried weigh of seedling, and dried weigh of the roots. Water temperature for watering media did not significantly affect all variables observed. There were significant interactions between water temperature for watering media and water temperature for spraying seedling leaves on seedling diameter and leaf size. Water temperature of 120C for watering media in combination with normal water temperature for spraying seedling leaves was the best treatment combination, while water temperature of 120C for watering media in combination with 120C water temperature for spraying seedling leaves was the worst treatment. Putaran kedua pada Pemilukada Walikota/Wakil Walikota Sabang menjadi kesempatan untuk kedua kalinya masyarakat berpartisipasi dalam pesta demokrasi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat dalam Pemilukada Walikota/Wakil Walikota Sabang Tahun 2012-2017, melihat upaya apa yang dilakukan oleh partai politik dan penyelenggara Pemilukada dalam meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat Kota Sabang Tahun 2012-2017. Untuk memperoleh data dalam penulisan skripsi ini dilakukan penelitian kepustakaan dan lapangan. Penelitian kepustakaan dilakukan untuk mendapat data sekunder dengan cara mengkaji buku-buku dan bahan lain yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Kemudian penelitian lapangan untuk mendapatkan data primer yang dilakukan dengan cara mewawancarai responden dan informan.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh partisipasi politik masyarakat dalam Pemilukada Walikota/Wakil Walikota Sabang Tahun 2012-2017 adalah kurangnya kepercayaan masyarakat Sabang terhadap pemimpin Kota Sabang sebelumnya, hadirnya salah satu calon dari Walikota/Wakil Walikota Sabang Tahun 2012-2017 yang merupakan putra daerah Kota Sabang, pengalaman calon pernah menjabat posisi strategis menjadi keyakinan tersendiri dimata masyarakat yang dinilai mampu memimpin Kota Sabang kedepan, dan faktor kedekatan calon Walikota/Wakil Walikota dengan rakyat, sehingga mampu mendengar keluhan langsung dari masyarakat. Adapun upaya Partai politik dan penyelenggara Pemilukada dalam meningkatkan partisipasi Politik masyarakat menjadikan salah satu respon positif dalam membentuk sebuah demokrasi yang baik seperti keterbukaan informasi dan sosialisasi terhadap info-info dalam proses Pemilukada Walikota/Wakil Walikota Sabang tahun 2012-2013.Disarankan kepada masyarakat Sabang untuk ikut terlibat dalam proses politik untuk mengawal jalannya pemerintahan dan lembaga penyelenggara ataupun partai politik agar terus bisa melakukan agenda yang bersinggung langsung dengan partisipasi politik masyarakat untuk mengawal proses demokrasi.Kata kunci: partisipasi politik, masyarakat, pemilukada. This study aims to determine the effect of cutting and way of giving proper rootone F and the presence or absence of interaction between the two factors under study on the growth of cutting roses. The research was conducted in the Village of Blang Cut, District Leung Bata, Banda Aceh, the ongoing since August – October 2006. This research used randomized block design factorial pattern of 3x4 with 3 replications. There are two factors studied were the first factor is the cutting material (S) which consists of 3 levels: the base of cutting (S1), cutting the middle (S2) and cutting the tip (S3), the second factor is the form rootone F consists of 4 levels: Control (R0), from a paste (R1), the form of flour (R2) and forms a solution of (R3). Observed in this study is to shoot length, number of shoot, number of compound leaves per shoot, number of root and root length. The result showed that the materials have strong cuttings of shoot number of age 60 days after transplanting (DAT), the number of compound leaves per shoot, number of roots and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in cutting edge treatment material (S3) Treatment rootone F shows that the effect is very significant effect on the number of shoots age 60 DAT, the number of compound leaves, number of root and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in the treatment of flour (R2). There is significant interaction on the number of compound leaves per shoot, root length and number of root age 80 DAT, the best interaction was obtained at S3R2 combination treatment.
