This study aims to provide information about the food farming land that should be protected from the threat of conversion in the district of Aceh Besar. The study results indicate that there are four categories of paddy land, namely: the main land I (9 districts), the main land II (7 districts), the secondary land I (5 districts), and secondary land II (2 districts). The main land is the land which is suggested to be an everlasting land (sustainable) for reliable biophysical characteristics, while the secondary land could be converted as long as it is based on the main reason and more urgent. In order to do so, the authors explored how the Swales’ model is applied in writing a research article introduction. The exploration was approached through a library study on the Swales model application. Some previous studies applying Swales Model were gathered and categorized into three categories − application of Swales model on different types of genre besides the research article introduction, different discipline or field and the last is the application of Swales’ on the research article introduction across languages. Another three articles written by professional writers were also collected as samples of introductions that have successfully presented three obligatory moves – establishing a territory (Move 1), establishing a niche (Move 2) and occupying the niche or presenting the present work (Move 3) − proposed by Swales’ model. Those introductions were segmented into those three moves and analyzed based on a communication purpose in every step derived from each move. In order to add more comprehension about the model, an analysis was also conducted on introductions for seven articles in the English Education Journal (EEJ) published by the Graduate Program in English Language Education at Syiah Kuala University. The purpose of the analysis was to show the differences in structure of introductions organized without following the CARS Swales model. Conclusions are that the CARS Swales model is relevant for the teaching of introductions for research writing and it can be a guideline to teach students the moves and steps of this model for communication purposes. This research about the oviposition preference of Papilio demoleus Linnaeus on three species of citrus (Citrus spp.) has been done in butterflies encagement in FMIPA Syiah Kuala University Darussalam, Banda Aceh from April to July 2003. This research used experimental method by completely randomized design with three treatment and four replication. The treatment are jeruk siem (Citrus nobilis Lour), jeruk kasturi (Citrus milis Blanco), and jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle). The observation was held from 8 o’clock until 16 o’clock for the number of eggs laying to each species of citrus. The result shown that the number of eggs laying indicate no significant on all species of citrus and between the number of eggs laying on the stem and another part around the host plant. A number of eggs laying under the surface of the leaves are more and significant from a number of eggs laying on the surface of the leaves. The eggs laying activity of P. demoleus started from 10 in the morning when the surrounding physical factor has supported for the butterflies to lay done its eggs. Activity get the point of culmination when observed at 12 o’clock. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari BPS Kota Banda Aceh, DPKAD Kota Banda Aceh, serta Dinas Kebersihan dan Keindahan Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Potensi penerimaan Retribusi Pelayanan Persampahan/Kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh sangat besar. Dari delapan jalan utama dan empat dusun dapat diperoleh penerimaan retribusi rata-rata sebesar 1,8% dari total Pendapatan Asli Daerah setiap tahun; (2) Kontribusi penerimaan Retribusi Pelayanan Persampahan/Kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh belum mencapai potensi yang sesungguhnya. Kontribusi retribusi pelayanan persampahan/kebersihan Kota Banda Aceh selama tahun 2002-2011 hanya berkisar antara 2,5%; (3) Tingkat efektivitas pemungutan retribusi pelayanan persampahan/kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh sangat bervariasi. Secara rata-rata persentase efektivitas pemungutan retribusi pelayanan persampahan/kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh selama 2002-2011 mencapai 87,7%, dengan demikian pemungutan retribusi pelayanan persampahan/kebersihan adalah cukup efektif; dan (4) persentase efisiensi pemungutan Retribusi Pelayanan Persampahan/Kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh jauh melampaui angka 100%, sehingga pemungutan Retribusi Pelayanan Persampahan/Kebersihan di Kota Banda Aceh selama 2006-2011 adalah tidak efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental semu dengan desain Pretest-Post-test Control Group. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelompok eksperimen kelas VII-3 dan kelompok kontrol kelas  VII-4. Populasi adalah siswa MTsN Kuta Baro Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pretes dan postes dan dianalasisi dengan analisis data gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif pada kelas experimen adalah kategori rendah 30% dan sedang 70 %, sedangkan pada pembelajaran konvensional adalah kategori  rendah 57%, sedang 42%. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan dengan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Under resolution 57/228 of 18 December 2002, recalled that the serious violations of Cambodian and international humanitarian law during the period of Democratic Kampuchea from 1975-1979, the Cambodia government and the UN jointly established the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) as hybrid tribunal. This thesis aims to comprehend the distinction of legal mechanism in relation to composition of judges between the SCSL and the ECCC, also the jurisdiction of the SCSL and the ECCC in enforcing International Criminal Law.In order to compile data in the research, library research is applied to get secondary data, through reading, citing and analyzing data that are related to object of research. The methodology apply is normative juridical that emphasis on existing law.Based on the research, with the majority of international judges in the SCSL, it will reach more justice in the proceedings than in the ECCC where national judges are dominant. This is because with the majority of international judges could avoid arbitrary, particularly arbitrary decision and make impartiality. In case of the jurisdiction between both tribunals, the ECCC has better the jurisdiction because it is more specific in regulating the crimes. Meanwhile, the jurisdiction of the SCSL does not include specific crimes so that the crimes that are prosecuted will be limited. It is recommended that the ECCC should have the majority of international judges or in the same composition between international judges and national judges. It is also recommended that the SCSL should regulate more specific crimes in its jurisdiction, particularly crimes of the genocide.
