A research which aims to determine the response of local meat chicken growth of protein supplementation with Isolation Grains Protein (IGB) and the difference in ration protein level has been conducted in the Laboratory of Experimental Farm, Animal Husbandry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University-Darussalam, Banda Aceh for 90 days. This study used a completely randomized design factorial with 2 factors, consisting of factors namely male gender (JJ) and female (JB) and the ration is a combination of factors and levels IGB in the ration, ie: treatment A: 17% protein and 0.4% IGB; treatment B 19% protein and 0.6% IGB and treatment C 21% protein and 0.8% IGB. Each combination consisted of 4 replications and each replication consists of 5 chickens. Parameters observed in the study were weight gain, achievement of final weight, consumption, conversion and efficiency of ration. DOC used a derivative result of selection of local meat chicken which are in the process of selection. Data acquired and processed by ANOVA.The results showed that supplementation of IGB and ration protein level difference was significantly effect (P <0.01) on weight gain, final weight, rate of consumption, conversion efficiency of rations and rations, but there is no interaction effect between sex and ration factors . The highest weight gain obtained in the male local chicken achieved by feeding a ration B (93.23 grams), while the hen rations achieved by providing treatment C (63.86 grams / week). The highest final body weight of male chicken on treatment B (1491.5 gram/90 days) and hens in treatment C (1061.5 gram/90 days). However, the highest ration consumption in both male and female local chickens obtained from the ration A. Feed conversion value and the best feed efficiency obtained in treatment B for the treatment of male and C for female chicken. The study concluded that there were different responses between male and female local chickens of the use of IGB in the rations. In male local chicken, IGB is more effective when added in the ration with a protein level of 19% whereas in female at the protein level of 21%. Fadrial Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource 2012-11-30 Description An account of the resource A series of studies related to animal feeding technology to stimulate the egg production and egg quality with the development of a cheap source of protein types and useful has been done through the evaluation of viabilityand nutritive value of Indigofera tinctoria and in vivo treatments on quail and chicken. Research conducted since 2010 to October 2012 with a focus on increasing the ability to grow the Indigofera’s seed under soaking treatment inauxin hormone and testing the nutritional value on quail and chicken. The first study related to the viability testing is done by soaking the seed of Indigofera in auxin hormone before planting in the field. The study consisted of 4treatments and 5 replications of soaking period, namely: control, B (12 hours), C (24 hours) and D (32 hours) in the solution. The parameters measured were: viability and growth of seed and dry matter content of Indigofera leaf. Thesecond study tested the nutritive value of Indigofera in the ration of laying chickens and quail. Treatments were: 0, 2, 4 and 6% of Indigofera leaf in the ration. Parameters observed in were: egg production, fertility, hatchability andegg quality. The results showed that the viability of the Indigofera’s seed with soaking treatment significantly increased to 80% and soaking for 32 hours resulted a higher viability. The treatment of soaking in auxin hormonealso increased nutrient content of indigofera leaf especially protein. In terms of nutritional value, supplement of Indigofera leaf was very useful to improve the production and quality of eggs in both local laying chickens and quail.The addition of Indigofera leaf in the ration up to 5% also reduced the feed consumption and increasead Haugh unit of egg chicken. From these results it was concluded that the viability of Indigofera tinctoria increased by soaking inauxin hormone for 12-32 hours. These treatments also stimulated the dry matter and protein contents in Indigofera’s leaf. The supplement of Indigofera tinctoria leaf as much as 1-5% in the ration also improved the egg production and quality of local chicken and quail. Ubi kayu merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mengandung karbohidrat. Ubi kayu dapat dikeringkan untuk mendapatkan produk olahan contohnya pembuatan tepung dan gaplek. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan modifikasi pengering surya dengan menambahkan kincir angin savonius sebagai penggerak kipas pada pengering tersebut yang bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan sirkulasi udara didalam ruang pengering. Parameter yang dilakukan diantaranya pengukuran kecepatan udara, distribusi temperatur, kelembaban relatif, iradiasi surya dan pengukuran kadar air. Dengan penambahan kincir angin savonius, kecepatan udara di dalam pengering surya lebih stabil bila dibandingkan dengan kecepatan udara di lingkungan. Temperatur di dalam ruang pengering lebih tinggi dari pada temperatur lingkungan, sedangkan kelembaban relatif di dalam pengering lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan di lingkungan. Hal ini menyebabkan proses pengeringan berlangsung cepat. Nilai iradiasi surya yang didapat berfluktuasi. Iradiasi tertinggi diperoleh pada hari kedua penelitian yaitu 595 W/m2. Kadar air awal ubi kayu yaitu 61,7 %. Kadar air akhir yang diperoleh rak A5 yaitu sebesar 11,7% dan rak B1 yaitu sebesar 12,9% sudah mendekati kadar air yang diharapkan untuk  pembuatan tepung yaitu 12%. Performance of Solar Dryer by Using Savonius Windmill for Cassava (Manihot esculenta) DryingAbstract. Cassava is one of the plants that contain carbohydrates. Cassava can be dried to produce processed products such as cassava flour and “gaplek”. In this research, the solar dryer was modified by adding a savonius windmill as fan drive which aims to maximize the air circulation inside the drying chamber. The observed parameters include air velocity, the distribution of temperature, relative humidity, solar irradiation and the water content. The addition of savonius windmill caused the air velocity in the solar dryer was more stable when compared to the speed of the air in the environment. Moreover, the temperature in the drying chamber was higher than the ambient temperature, while the relative humidity in the dryer was lower than in the environment. As a result, it caused rapid drying process. Solar irradiation values obtained fluctuate. The highest irradiation was obtained on the second day of the study (595 W / m2). The moisture content of the cassava decreased from  61.7% to 11.7% (at A5 rack) and 12.9% (at B1 rack). Those values was approaching the expected flour water content (12% ). Lokasi penelitian berada dalam satu satuan unit lahan namun mempunyai nilai produksi berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelas kesesuaian lahan, hubungan karakteristik lahan dengan produksi serta kualitas biji kakao di dua lokasi. Pelaksanaan survei, pengambilan contoh tanah mengacu pada kelerengan, diambil pada titik pewakil secara purposif berdasarkan satuan lahan homogen, pengambilan sampel buah kakao untuk melihat kualitas biji kakao. Sifat morfologi, peubah tanaman, sifat fisik dan kimia tanah diamati dan di analisis dengan metode dan parameter yang ditetapkan. Dilakukan klasifikasi kesesuaian lahan berdasarkan kriteria yang disusun Pusat Penelitian Kopi dan Kakao Jember (1993), dengan mencocokkan karakteristik lahan hasil pengamatan lapangan dan persyaratan penggunaan lahan tanaman kakao. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelas kesesuaian lahan Kecamatan Peudawa dan Peunaron tidak sesuai saat ini dan kurang sesuai untuk tanaman kakao, dengan faktor pembatas drainase, kemiringan lahan, ketersediaan hara C org, N total, P2O5, K2O sehingga diperlukan tindakan konservasi, pemupukan, pengapuran, pemberian bahan organik. Ada pengaruh signifikan karakteristik lahan terhadap produksi dan kualitas biji kakao, di Kecamatan Peudawa adalah C organik dan berpengaruh negatif dengan lereng, N total, K tersedia, sedangkan Peunaron berpengaruh positif dengan solum, KTK dan negatif dengan lereng, pH dan daya hantar listrik. Secara psikologis, pasien yang akan menghadapi pembedahan akan mengalami kecemasan, ketakutan bahkan depresi. Depresi juga akan muncul setelah pasien menjalani terapi pembedahan diakibatkan kehilangan payudara yang merupakan simbol seksualitas wanita dan akan mengubah citra tubuh, harga diri, perasaan malu, serta rasa bersalah dalam ketidakmampuan menjalankan peran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan tingkat depresi pada pasien kanker payudara sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan terapi pembedahan (mastektomi) di RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan menggunakan rancangan studi perbandingan (comparative study). Besar sampel sebanyak 30 orang dengan metode pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa kuesioner BDI (Beck Depression Inventory). Terdapat perbedaan depresi yang signifikan pada pasien kanker payudara sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan terapi pembedahan (mastektomi) di RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh dengan hasil penelitian didapatkan p value = 0,000 di mana Confidence Interval (CI) 95% dan ? 0,005 dengan p (0,002) < ?
