Daun saga mengandung beberapa senyawa aktif seperti flavonoid, saponin, dan alkaloid yang bersifat sebagai antibakteri. Salah satu bakteri yang berperan sebagai agen utama penyebab karies gigi adalah Streptococcus mutans. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak metanol daun saga (Abrus precatorius Linn) terhadap pertumbuhan Streptococcus mutans. Uji daya hambat menggunakan metode difusi agar (Kirby-Bauer). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah (One Way Analysis of Varians) dengan taraf kepercayaan 5%, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol daun saga dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Streptococcus mutans pada konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100% yang ditandai dengan terbentuknya zona terang di sekitar kertas cakram. Diameter zona hambat terbesar terlihat pada konsentrasi 100% yaitu 17,3 mm dan diameter terkecil terlihat pada konsentrasi 10% yaitu 7 mm. Kesimpulan ekstrak metanol daun saga terbukti dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Streptococcus mutans pada berbagai konsentrasi. A pre-processor software GAMBIT was employed to set up the configuration, discretisation, and boundary conditions of the flame being investigated.  The commercial software Fluent 6.3 was used to perform the calculations of flow and mixing fields as well as combustion. Standard k-ε and eddy dissipation models were selected as solvers for the representation of the turbulence and combustion, respectively.  The results of all calculations are presented in the forms of contour profiles.  During the investigation, the treatment was performed by setting a constant velocity of fuel at 20 m/s with varied cross-wind velocity and by keeping the cross-wind velocity constant at 1.1 m/s with varied fuel velocity.  The results of the investigation showed that the standard k-ε turbulence model in conjunction with Eddy Dissipation Model representing the combustion was capable of producing reliable phenomena of the flow field and reactive scalars field in the turbulent non-premixed flame being investigated. Other results of the investigation showed that increasing the velocity of the crosswind, when the fuel velocity was kept constant, significantly affected the flow field, temperature and species concentrations in the flare flame. Tiga sampel darah kuda Sandel Wood dari Kabupaten Sumba Timur digunakan untuk isolasi DNA. Produk isolasi DNA diamplifikasi pada daerah D-loop parsial mitokondria dengan metode PCR, primer ECLOOP forward 5’-CGCACATTACCCTGGTCTTG-3’ dan primer ECLOOP reverse 5’GAACCAGATGCCAGGTATG-3’, pada kondisi predenaturasi 94° C selama 5 menit, denaturasi 94° C selama 30 detik, annealing 56° C selama 30 detik, elongation 72° C selama 45 detik, dan post elongation 72° C selama 5 menit sebanyak 35 siklus. Reaksi polymerase chain reaction (PCR) menghasilkan produk sepanjang 492 bp kemudian dilakukan pengurutan. Produk pengurutan D-loop dibandingkan dengan spesies kuda lain dari Genbank dan dianalisis menggunakan MEGA versi 4.1. Hasil analisis diperoleh 66 situs nukleotida yang berbeda. Urutan nukleotida D-loop yang dianalisis menggunakan Kimura 2- parameter ditemukan nilai paling kecil 0% dan nilai paling besar 2,9%. Konstruksi pohon filogenetika menggunakan metode neighbour joining dengan nilai bootstrap 1000 kali menunjukkan hubungan kekerabatan yang sangat dekat di antara kuda Sandel Wood. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris, pre and postest with control group design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 13 ekor tikus Wistar yang dibagi dalam 3 kelompok: P0, kelompok kontrol (kejutan listrik); P1, kejutan listrik + ekstrak seledri 0,14 mg; dan P2, kejutan + ekstrak seledri 0,72 mg. Kejutan listrik dan ekstrak seledri masing-masing diberikan selama 7 hari. Kadar kortisol diukur menggunakan metode enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Analisis data menggunakan uji analisis varian satu arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kadar kortisol serum kelompok P0 sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan mengalami peningkatan, sedangkan kelompok P1 dan P2 mengalami penurunan (P0= 1,88 vs 3,65; P1= 4,59 vs 2,63 dan P2= 3,00 vs 2,99). Pemberian ekstrak seledri cenderung menurunkan kadar kortisol serum meskipun secara statistik tidak berbeda secara signifikan (P>0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak seledri belum sepenuhnya berperan sebagai herbal antistres pada tikus Wistar yang mengalami stres. Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource 2012-12-01 Description An account of the resource Abstract - Aceh, the northern-most province of Indonesia came through long suffering of armed conflicts for self-determination under the Dutch (1873-1942) and Japanese colonisation (1942-1945). It continued until Aceh joined Indonesia‟s unitary system in 1945, in which it was formally initiated by Tgk. Daud Beureueh between 1953-1963, and further to be declared by Tgk. Hasan Tiro on 4th December 1976 under the banner of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM). This struggle was ended by peace agreement, the Helsinki Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15th August 2005 with the Aceh self-government notion consensus. In this regard, Aceh has more spaces and opportunities to re-determine its political, economic, social and cultural status under the Indonesian system. According to the international law, the notion of self-government is considered as internal self-determination under the International Human Rights Law regime. This would refer to two covenants: the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights 1966. However, in practice, despite this ongoing implementation has achieved some progress in short term local political development, yet there are still many challenges for long-term economic, social and cultural advancement objectives, in particular regarding human rights related issues. This paper endeavours to analyse the issue through the overview of historical background of Aceh self-determination from an international law perspective. Hopefully, this paper contributes to a conceptual understanding of the MoU Helsinki in terms of Aceh self-determination movement as well as some challenges ahead. Quality of food with healty and a complete safe nutrient is the most important things in the food material. Because of food that consume influencing people brain and health. The aim of this research was  to determine the content of formaldehyde, salt and Total Plate Count of bacteria in the  tenggiri salty fish from Sarmi Papua. Formsaldehyde was indentificated by using cromatofat acid method as qualitative and spectrophotometer as quantitative method. Choman method was used to analize salt content. Total Plate Count (TPC) was used for bacterial content analysis. The result showed that Tenggiri salty fish from Sarmi is not contain formaldehyde. About 9.76 % to 16.31 % of salt contant and approximately 24.5 x 10- 5- 49.5 x 10 5 colony/gram of bacterial in total.  This conclude that Tenggiri salty fish have already contaminated by bacterial because it’s higher than Standard National Indonesia obligation for fisheries product about 1 x 105 colony/gram. Keywords: Food safety, chemical and microbiology    Abstrak. Keamanan pangan ditentukan oleh ada tidaknya komponen yang berbahaya secara fisik, kimia maupun mikrobiologi. Makanan yang sehat dengan kandungan gizi yang lengkap dan aman merupakan syarat mutlak yang harus dipenuhi oleh bahan pangan karena pembangunan manusia yang sehat dan cerdas tidak terlepas dari bahan makanan yang dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar formalin, garam serta total bakteri yang terdapat pada produk ikan asin Tenggiri asal Kabupaten Sarmi Provinsi Papua. Identifikasi keberadaan formalin pada ikan asin dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengujian secara kuantitatif memakai spektrofotometer sedangkan uji kualitatif menggunakan metode Asam Kromatofat. Analisis kadar garam ini menggunakan metode Khoman. Sedangkan pada penentuan keberadaan bakteri dilakukan dengan metode Total Plate Count. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa sampel ikan Tengiri asal Kabupaten Sarmi bebas formalin.
