The characterization result of membrane indicates that the membrane have 42.84% of porosity, 74.95% of swelling degree and 258.4 L/m2h water flux. Samples of crude biodiesel contains glycerol amounted to 0.61%-b. The membrane adsorption test value of glycerol in biodiesel is 63.93%, glycerol that contained in biodiesel has been adsorbed for 60 minutes by the membrane and glycerol remaining is 0.23%-b. The results indicated that the glycerol content meets quality standards. Regeneration of membrane by methanol can reduce the value of glycerol until 54.09% and by ethanol is 18.03%. These results indicated that methanol solvent is better than ethanol solvent in regenerating membrane. The adsorption membrane that has been regenerated can be reused to reduce the value of glycerol in biodiesel.Key words: biodiesel, chitosan, purolit, membrane, adsorption, glycerol. This research was conducted using randomized block design consisted of two factors and three replications. The first factor is the percentage of the desiccated coconut addition to wheat flour with three levels (25%, 50% and 75%). The second factor is the variation treatment of the desiccated coconut; roasting and without roasting. The result showed that the percentage of desiccated coconut addition to wheat flour has a significant effect on protein content. The treatment of roasting and without roasting has very significant effect on the peroxide number and significant effect on the moisture content, sensory test (aroma and taste). The interaction factor between the percentage of desiccated coconut addition to wheat flour and the treatment of roasting and without roasting has a very significant effect on the fat content and has a significant effect on the sensory test (aroma and taste). The best formulation of the desiccated coconut biscuits based on the sensory test was obtained from the addition of75% of desiccated coconut without roasting. Terdapat beberapa kontroversial dari efek kopi yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada hepar atau mencegah kerusakan hepar, dimana salah satu fungsi hepar adalah mendetoksifikasi atau menguraikan zat sisa tubuh dan hormon serta obat dan senyawa asing lain termasuk kopi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kopi Arabika dan Luwak dengan dosis bertingkat terhadap gambaran histologi hepar. Rancangan Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yaitu dengan menggunakan metode Post Test Design Only dan Factorial Design. Hewan coba yang digunakan 21 tikus Wistar jantan dibagi dalam 7 kelompok, yaitu 1 kelompok K (kontrol), 3 kelompok perlakuan Arabika ( PA1(0,36 ml), PA2(1,08 ml), dan PA3(2,16 ml)), dan 3 kelompok perlakuan Luwak ( PL1(0,36 ml), PL2(1,08 ml), dan PL3(2,16 ml)). Gambaran mikroskopis kongesti dan nekrosis jaringan pada hepar merupakan parameter yang dinilai dari penelitian ini. PA1 memiliki jumlah kerusakan berupa kongesti vaskular dan nekrosis sel hepatosit yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan PL1. PL2 memiliki jumlah kerusakan berupa kongesti vaskular yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan PA2, dan PA2 memiliki jumlah kerusakan berupa nekrosis sel hepatosit yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan PL2. PA3 memiliki jumlah kerusakan berupa kongesti vaskular dan nekrosis sel hepatosit yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan PL3, dan PA3 memiliki jumlah kerusakan yang paling tertinggi dibandingkan dengan PA2, PA1, PL1, PL2, dan PL3. The objective of this study is to know the accuracy of the bioassay technique developed to detect ametryn and diuron herbicides in soil and water. Ametryn and diuron are two of several premergence herbicides currently used extensively in Indonesia expecially in plantations crops. The extensive used of the herbicides raised concern about their residue in soil and water and its negative effects. This study is a second step of three steps of experiments aimed to develop a method to detect the amount of herbicides in soil and water using a simple, easy, and economical using bioassay technique. In the previous first step, indicators plant and standard curves for ametryn and diuron were already determined. The objective of this study is to know the accuracy of the bioassay technique to detect ametryn and diuron herbicides in soil and water. Test curve were developed to evaluate accuracy between the amount of herbicide applied compared with the amount calculate of bioassay methods. Test curve is a linier correlation between amount of herbicide applied and the amount detected by bioassay method, stated as Y = a + bX, Y is the amount calculate by bioassay and X is the amount applied. If the amount calculate by bioassay is the same as the amount applied, the test cuve become Y = X, so a must be equal to 0 and b equal to 1 (a=0 and b=1), which means the bioassay method is accurate. Result showed that bioassay could be used to detect ametryn accurately in soil using caisim as indicator-plant, by measuring its shoot length or shoot dry weight. However, this indicator plant could not detect ametryn in water accurately. Bioassay could also be used to detect diuuron accurately both in soil and in water using cucumber as indicator-plant, by measuring its shoot or root length, as well as shoot or root dry weight. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi persegi panjang, persegi dan belah ketupat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 RSBI Banda Aceh. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada materi persegi panjang, persegi dan belah ketupat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 RSBI Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan sampel penelitian kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional yang berlokasi di SMP Negeri 6 RSBI Banda Aceh. Data nilai awal diperoleh dari nilai pretes siswa dan data nilai akhir dari nilai gain (selisih nilai postes dan pretes) siswa untuk mengetahui peningkatan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik yang sesuai. Dari hasil analisis data akhir, berdasarkan uji kesamaan rata-rata (pihak kanan) diperoleh t_hitung= 39,5 dan t_tabel = 1,68 pada taraf signifikan ? = 0,05 dan dk = 44. H0 diterima jika t_hitung < t_tabel. karena t_hitung > t_tabel hal ini berarti H0 ditolak. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata gain berpikir kritis siswa pada materi persegi panjang, persegi dan belah ketupat kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol, sehingga pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi persegi panjang, persegi dan belah ketupat lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. The experiment was carried out to study the influence of various kinds of herbicide at different dosages and times on soybean seed quality in rainy season. The experimental was conducted at PT Syngenta, Cikampek, West Java. This experimental was arranged in the split-split plot based of randomized block design with 2 replications. The main plot was the time application consists of: R6, R7, and R8 phase. The sub-plot was the application doses of the herbicide that consists of: no herbicide, lower dosage, medium dosage, and higher dose. The response observed covers the seed’s water content at harvesting, seed’s viability, seed’s vigor, the percentage of winkle seed, the weight of 100 seeds and the yield per plot. The result shows that the application of paraquat at lower dose and at R7 nd R8 phase yielding the highest quality compared to any other treatment.
