Consequently, these dumping grounds present risks for surrounding resources such as soil, groundwater and air. The concern for groundwater contamination by leachate from tropical dumping grounds is heightened due to the greater amounts of rainfall and subsequent infiltration and percolation through the waste mass. The emergent demand for old dumping grounds reclamation drives the need to employ remediation technologies. Generally, in-situ aeration is a remediation method that promotes aerobic conditions in the later stage of dumping ground. It accelerates carbon transfer, reduces remaining organic load, and generally shortens the post closure period. However, high rainfall in tropical areas straitens this technique. For example, pollutants could be easily flushed out and more energy should be required to overcome hydrostatic pressure. Although heavy rainfall could supply sufficient water to the substrate and accelerate degradation of organic matter, it may inhibit aerobic activities due to limited air transfer. The waste characterization from Lorong Halus Dumping Ground (closed dumping ground in Singapore) showed that the waste materials were stabilized after 22 years closure. According to the Waste Acceptance Criteria set by European Communities Council, the waste materials could be classified as inert wastes. One interesting finding was that leachate layer detected was about of 5 - 8 meter depth, which entirely soaked the waste materials. Hence, the reclamation design and operation should be carefully adjusted according to these characters. Lorong Halus Dumping Ground case study can provide a guideline for other tropical closed landfills or dumping grounds. Kasus OA semakin meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan populasi pada usia tua dan overweight. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan overweight, usia dan jenis kelamin dengan OA di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan potong lintang analitik korelasional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September-November 2012 di Poliklinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 124 orang pasien yaitu 62 pasien OA dan 62 pasien bukan OA. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah chi-square. Hasil penelitian mengenai hubungan overweight dengan OA (p value = 0,00, PR 2,19, 95% CI 1,38 sampai 3,46), hubungan usia dengan OA (p value = 0,02, PR 1,53, 95% CI 1,09 sampai 2,14), hubungan jenis kelamin dengan OA (p value = 0,01, PR 1,79, 95% CI 1,11 sampai 2,9). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) komposisi dewan komisaris independen, komite audit independen, kepemilikan institusional, kepemilikan manajerial, dan kualitas audit secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba, pada perusahaan yang tergabung dalam Indeks Kompas di Bursa Efek Indonesia, pengaruh yang dihasilkan sangat kecil.(2) Sedangkan secara parsial hanya kualitas audit yang berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba, sedangkan variabel komposisi dewan komisaris independen, komite audit independen, kepemilikan institusional, kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba. Aja Maulida Suta Description An account of the resource ABSTRAKKlebsiella pneumoniae adalah salah satu penyebab tersering penyakit infeksi dan menyebabkan resistensi. Klebsiella pneumoniae merupakan bakteri yang dapat menghasilkan Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase (ESBL) yang menyebabkan bakteri tersebut resisten terhadap beberapa golongan antibiotik. Munculnya resistensi dan berbagai efek samping dari antibiotik menuntut penemuan dan pengembangan bahan alam sebagai antibakteri. Salah satu bahan alam yang dapat dijadikan sebagai antibakteri adalah tanaman daun kumis kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas ekstrak etanol daun kumis kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.) terhadap Klebsiella pneumonia dan mengetahui pengaruh peningkatan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun kumis kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.) terhadap luas zona hambat pertumbuhan K. pneumoniae. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri atas 4 kelompok perlakuan dan 1 kelompok kontrol negatif dengan 5 kali pengulangan. Kelompok perlakuan terdiri atas konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun kumis kucing 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%, sedangkan kelompok kontrol negatif adalah larutan carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) 1%. Uji aktivitas anti bakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun kumis kucing 25%, 50 %, 75%, dan 100% masing-masing memiliki zona hambat rata-rata 12,2 mm, 13 mm, 13.8 mm dan 15,8 mm. Currently, squid populations, especially in the District Barru, were intensive exploited, that is feared to affect the population biology parameters. The study was conducted fromFebruary to April 2011. The sampling period was three times a week. The Samples were obtained using random collection from the fishermen catch using Rambo left net. Squid mantle length was measured to the nearest one mm.The parameters analyzed were age group, gonad maturity stage, growth, mortality, and exploitation rate. Squid population in Barru district consists of three age groups with the length of each mode of 51 mm, 98 mm, 133 mm formales, and 51 mm, 96 mm, 127 mm for females. The gonad maturity stage ranging from TKG I to IV for males and females, with the largest percentage of TKG TKG III (47.82% in males and 50.06% in females). The squid firstmaturity is reached at 94.3827 mm in long coat for males, and 59.6735 mm for females. Growth equation for males was Lt = 227 {1 - e -0.31 (t + 0.30)} and females are Lt = 196 {1-e-0, 37 (t +0.26)}. The total mortality rate (Z) is1.59 for males and 1.63 for females. The natural mortality rate (M) is 0.20 for males and 0.57 for females. The capture mortality rate (F) is 1.39 for males and 1.06 for females. The highest CPUE values reached in 1999 was 0.0022 ton per trip, while the smallest CPUE values reached in 2001 was 0.0001 tons per year.
