The Indian Ocean has an important role in the variability of aquatic ecosystems including fisheries resource. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between Mixed Layer Depth (MLD) criterion ∆T = 0.5 oC and distribution of tuna in the Eastern Indian Ocean. The study area was situated in the Eastern Indian Ocean at the coordinate 100 – 120oE dan 5 – 20oS. The data MLD criterion ∆T = 0.5 oC as well as data distribution and tuna catches which processed in the seasonal period were used in this study. Visualization result showed that the variation of MLD based on the depth value was inversely related to MLD variation based on temperature. MLD variations indicated that the depth of the shallowest MLD on the West Monsoon and deepest on the East Monsoon, while the highest temperature of MLD was recorded in Transitional Monsoon 1 and the lowest in Transitional Monsoon 2. The most widespread distribution of tuna were in Eastern Monsoon and the narrowest in Transional Monsoon 1. MLD variation relations with tuna catches have seen fairly high correlation of Pearson correlation value of 0.891 for tuna catches with depth MLD correlation and -0.927 for tuna catches correlation with temperature MLD.Keywords : Mixed Layer Depth (MLD); ∆T = 0.5 oC; Temperature; Depth; TunaAbstrak. Samudera Hindia merupakan salah satu perairan yang memiliki peranan penting dalam variabilitas ekosistem perairan termasuk didalamnya sumberdaya perikanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan Mixed Layer Depth (MLD) kriteria ∆T = 0,5 oC dengan sebaran Tuna di Samudera Hindia bagian Timur. Wilayah kajian penelitian ini adalah perairan Samudera Hindia bagian Timur dengan koordinat 100 – 120oBT dan 5 – 20oLS. Data yang digunakan adalah data MLD kriteria ∆T = 0,5 oC berdasarkan suhu dan kedalamannya, serta data sebaran dan tangkapan Tuna yang diolah dalam periode musiman. Hasil visualisasi menunjukkan bahwa variasi MLD berdasarkan kedalaman memiliki nilai berbanding terbalik dengan variasi MLD berdasarkan suhu. Variasi MLD menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman MLD paling dangkal berada pada Musim Barat yakni berkisar antara 22 – 60 dbar dan paling dalam berada pada Musim Timur dengan nilai berkisar antara 60 – 100 dbar, sedangkan suhu MLD tertinggi berada pada Musim Peralihan 1 yakni 28,5 – 29,5 oC dan terendah pada Musim Peralihan 2 dengan nilai berkisar antara 23 – 29 oC. Sebaran Tuna paling luas berada pada Musim Timur dan paling sempit berada pada Musim Peralihan 1. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan antara kadar feritin dalam darah dengan fungsi jantung pada penderita thalasemia di Center Thalasemia RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh, yang dilakukan pada bulan Juli hingga September 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan metode cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling secara accidental sampling dan data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan uji Fisher Exact Tets. Data hematologi didapatkan dari rekam medis (kadar feritin) dan fungsi jantung dievaluasi dari pemeriksaan ekokardiografi fungsi sistolik (EF, FS) dan fungsi diastolik (E, A, rasio E/A, IVRT) oleh dokter anak konsultan jantung. Didapatkan 31 orang sampel dalam penelitian ini. Hasil uji Fisher Exact Test menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kadar feritin serum dengan fungsi jantung, dengan nilai (p= 0.638) untuk hubungan antara kadar feritin dan fungsi sistolik (EF), (p= 0.638) untuk hubungan antara kadar feritin dan fungsi diastolik (A), dan (p= 0.119) untuk hubungan antara kadar feritin dan fungsi diastolik (rasio E/A ). Namun untuk data nilai fungsi sistolik (FS) dan fungsi diastolik (E, IVRT) tidak dapat dianalisis dengan fungsi statistik karena semua data bernilai konstan. Method of the research is a Classroom Action Research  (CAR), consisting of three cycles. The data were collected using a test, an observation, and an interview. The result of the students’ concept understanding test was processed statistically using “t-Test”. The improvement of student’s understanding was corelated with Pearson Correlation Technique, while the interview and observation were described, then concluded. The result of data analysis indicate that the model of CLIS for universe and earth concept can improve the mastery of concept. In the first cycle action, it is seen that the acquirement of t0 was 9.069; in the second cycle the t value was 4.054; and in the third cycle it was 9.442; which is bigger than tt of only 2.025. It indicates that CLIS study method has improved the students’ concept understanding in every cycle. The correlation result of the first cycle indicates that the value of r is  - 0.273; in the second cycle, the value of r was equal to 0.222. While in the third cycle, the value of r is 0.000. It indicates that the CLIS model study does not influence the improvement of the students’ academic attitude. This study model requires much longer time than study method usually used by the teacher, but the students are happy to study with CLIS study model. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran terjadinya depresi pada lansia di UPTD Rumoh Seujahtra Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif cross-sectional survey. Sampel adalah seluruh lansia diUPTD Rumoh Seujahtra Geunaseh Sayang Banda Aceh.Teknik pengambilan sampel secara total sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner yang disertai skala Beck Depression Inventory (BDI).Data yang diperoleh dilakukan uji normalitas dan dianalisis dengan analisis univariat.Data disajikan dalam table distribusi frekuensi dan grafik.Hasil penelitian terhadap 43 orang lansia ditemukan 33 orang mengalami depresi dan 10 orang tidak depresi. Lansia yang depresi terdiri dari 39,4% mengalami depresi sedang, 33,3% mengalami depresi berat dan 27,3% mengalami depresi ringan. Lansia yang berjenis kelamin perempuan mengalami depresi sedang sebanyak 47,4% ,lansia yang kehilangan keluarga mengalami depresi berat sebanyak 61,1%, lansia yang ada dukungan keluarga mengalami depresi sedang sebanyak 64,3% dan lansia yang berstatus belum kawin mengalami depresi berat sebanyak 75,0%. Penelitian ini menggunakan 7 senyawa obat yaitu kurkumin, analog 1, 2, 3, 4, etodolac, dan asam arakidonat. Senyawa penambatan yang digunakan adalah 1PXX yang didapat dari situs PDB (Protein Data Bank).
